  • How much would mine be? If I have 436 nm at the wheels ! Then how much is that at the fly ?

  • Please NO MORE GAS POWERED ENGINES.

  • 450 Nm of Torque nur 4,500 Nm

  • SONG PLEASE!!! xD

  • Electric AUDI FINALLY !!! will it cost like SPACE SHUTTLE ?

  • @mptrax

less than diesel vehicles for sure

  • @sudips84 FUCK DIESEL and all internal combustion shitty-smelling engines :D

  • Comment removed

  • 4500 Nm of torque? You can't even use 3000 Nm of torque without ripping into the Earth's mantle.

  • the 4500Nm car can go forward? or will it burnout and drift all the time?

  • 4.500 nm .... natüüüüüüürlich... mit was fährt der? Uran?

rechnet euch mal den energieverbrauch aus...

aber hauptsache es leuchtet toll, was ja sowieso das allerwichtigste an einem auto ist.

  • nice cars, gorgeus .....what's the name of the song please

  • what is the name of the track?

  • its NICE but its like A TOY

  • and what do you want with 4500 Nm? pull a semitruck out of a ditch? Move a planet from its natural orbit?

Great car electric power is the future!

  • @x3m5p33d3r A Volvo FH16 has 700cp 3150 Nm from a 16.1 Litre disel engine

  • in my opinion this is the sexiest car out there

  • haben will wer schenkt mir? XD

  • That`s the I, Robot car ! lol

  • @Jay89848 not really, there it is watch?v=DqiCXbPKxP8&feature=related

  • how much does it weigh?

  • I should have one of these delivered to my doorstep just because I'm a nice guy.

  • How does Audi keep coming out with sexier and sexier headlight designs???? DAMN!!!

  • Wanna go on a holiday by airplane to.. Lets say.. Thailand? Don't buy petrol cars, go for the electrical.. Because it's not only about the fuel price.. Its also that oil is running out.

  • name of the track please !!!

  • what is the audio track on this video ?

  • 4,500 Nm of torque, it can't be throughout the entire range, it got to be at the lower crawling to 20mph speeds.

  • Electric cars are the future.

But first of all we have to think about battery technology and how to accumulate electricity in an efficient way.

Then we can speak about electric cars.

Battery technology is progressing lightspeed, and now we have Li ion polymer batteries which are solid instead of liquid.

This is the step before being able to build flexible and thinner batteries.

  • а что за музыка?

  • Cmon people, yes it makes ridiculously high torque but all electric motors do so, because they make there maximum torque at 0rpm so don't even try compare it to a petrol engine or truck.

Torque is only a measurement of power divided by revolutions per minute. Audi's torque figure would be at something really low like 0.5rpm so the actual power output would be quite small and hardly usable.

  • That is the sexiest thing my mind has ever been across. I feel like a guy having sex for the first time

  • Germans will change the World!

  • do an electric car with the shape of the CARRERA GT and you will se how we will fuck oil companies.

  • electric cars is the present, not the future, just release cars capable of doing less than 5 seconds and i will go electric right now.

  • 4500nm??? holy shiit

  • I don't like this car... Don't y'all think it looks like a toy?? I love the grill though It might be the headlights that make me dislike this car... I don't know

  • I just.....never mind. If I had kids I would sell them for this car.

  • @Geostigmac agreed

  • That thing has more torque than the planet Earth! :D

  • cars can run on weed

  • theres no grill just a window and som lights

  • audi id the best always

  • I think you are confusing an Audi with a boat

  • that was hard to post. kept giving me errors.

  • its big oil that wants people to think otherwise. electric cars should be available now at your new car dealerships but then people would relize how great they are, and put oil out of business, lossing them trillions. and stopping transactions of the us dollar, causing the us dollar to surcome to its enormass debt causing the finacial system in the states to collaspe.

  • and you could make solar panels sustainably, with the energy from other solar panels. i don't understand what you are arguing, i completly disagree with you on that fact that we can produce grid power for electric cars cleanly.

  • In french... Etron means Shit... XD

I'm sorry for Audi, but it's true...

  • What's the song? lol

  • fucking bad ass, deckard from blade runner would drive one with vangelis on the radio

  • nice

  • cool so want that car i am so sub ing

  • So fantastisch die Eigenschaften der Elektromotoren auch sind, vor der Marktreife der Akkumulatoren, auf Basis von Kohlenstoffnanoröhren, werde ich mir keines zulegen.

  • with all this torque , this car can stop the earth a make a another gran canion on the road .

  • Please watch my video of the e-tron!

    You won´t be sorry!

  • habenwollen habenwollen!!!

  • well it looks like the next TT gen

    not R8 .-.

  • 1. it looks like the next gen R8

    2. how long does it take to charge batts...god forbid if ya ran out

    3. its metal it weights probs a gd 1.5 ton(uk)

for me i'd never buy a batt only car cauz of charge time run out ur f...ed

  • @02watsot

    1. it is modeled after the R8

    2. it takes 4 hrs....which is high for new electrics.

    3. most of it is carbon, you fail.

For people like you are the cancer of the earth. The range of electrics is now the same as gas. when will you not be able to find a plug/socket?

  • @02watsot 1 yes it does..2, Battery on a 220v probably 3-4 hours full charge, a quick charger around 45 mins full and 10-15mins 80%. Remember how ten years ago we were all rocking the nokia 3210's with their fairly large and heavy batteries. We're now in the situation where on a similar size battery we can run ipods that have a similar computing power to the average computer of that time, we also have phone watches that have the same power and capabilities as those 3210's

  • @02watsot cont- so my point is...Batteries are improving 10% every year, when li-ion batteries have reached their limit, then we move onto lithium polymer or carbon nano tube enhanced batteries..it's no different from a petrol car except you plan your journey more methodically if you go a long distance, oh and you can fill up your "tank" at home with whatever power you choose

  • @eldictator1 well ya know wot i was maily just putting my view out there on wot i think about the car and views of wot i think about electric not to try and get into some sort of debait about what does wot when etc cauz to be honest i don't give 2 so stuff that up ur ass and enjoy it . . . while it lasts like the batts do in electric cars!

  • rx please..

  • ciao.. potreste dirmi il nome della canzone??

hi.. what is the name of the song??

this is a wonderful car.. XD

  • its tyranny i tell you. don't buy new cars unless it's plug in electric.

  • @dddproject I figured you were Canadian! Your intelligence, tolerance, understanding, willingness to learn and exercise patience, compassion and open mindedness are huge indicators of that!

    Peace!

  • @fipfapfallywap ok haha. where in canada r u from?

  • @dddproject Ontario. just north of toronto. you?

  • @fipfapfallywap vancouver

  • @dddproject but thats kinda hard to do without exponentially increasing your electricity bill. The electricity coming from the outlet in the wall Amazingly comes from a power plant. Power plants do not produce an unlimited amount of energy, and therefore could not cope with everyone plugging in an electric car. Energy is not free and it it also doesn't come from nothing. The ONLY way we could all have electric plug in cars is if we all shift to nuclear power plants.

  • @mustangified you are a fucking idiot. first of all, there are many ways you can generate electricity like hydro power, solar power, wind power, tidal power, etc. second you don't have to build or shift to anything, the majority of the power in the states comes from canada, as does your oil.

  • @mustangified and third electricity is free, if you build solar or wind power on your property. and if you dont want to, electricity is way cheaper than oil even if it stays at the price now. which it wont because most countries have passed there peak oil and more people need oil everyday. and forth all major wars in the last 100 years have been over oil. it is the world's biggest commodity.

  • @dddproject but its not free. You have to start at the beginning of the cycle: Production of windmills and solar panels. Do you have any idea how much energy is required to build enough windmills/panels for everyone to maintain their current life-style? You are the fucking idiot just like 90% of the world that thinks putting a windmill in their back yard is going to solve everything. Nuclear power is the only solution to the energy problem.

  • @mustangified @mustangified i didnt say that. i said if you want free electricity for your electric car building your own windmills or solar would be a good idea. how is nuclear power a solution? you have to mine the urianium. and a lot of places don't want nuclear power incase of melt downs. where in canada r u from?

  • @dddproject besides none of those produce anywhere near the energy of a nuclear power plant, but people are too ignorant to see that. You'd think that because its produces the most energy, it would be most appealing. And yes, my canadian oil is from canada... duh. i live there. You have to start from the very beginning, which is why we haven't done anything yet. Its a huge problem that no one can wrap their heads around. there is no easy fix.

  • @mustangified i think ur the only one who is ignorant. and hydro power prob produces more than nuclear. it's not a huge problem, baby steps, first start with making electric cars available for the people who want them. and consumers to not buy new cars until electric ones are available.

  • nice slowly moving on to they flying cars people, hurry the hell up in this life time please.

  • Good for electric but would not buy it if it wasnt in fact i probably coudnt afford it anyway

  • jesus, never thought I`l like the looks of an electric car... wow, i`ld like one U.U

  • @sharkfriend good luck lol, when these are put into production in 2011, the starting price is 220,000

  • ass

  • U dthink with 4500nm of torque it would be much more faster than what It says :S :S :S makes no sense whatsoever.

  • почти моя мечта! эххххх....((((

  • Car is great - name SUCKS.

  • it's a concept. the production vehicle will be named r4.

  • Boycott buying new cars until they have plugs.

  • Until they have plugs? All electric cars come with plugs. That's like forgetting to put fuel tank entryway for a gas-powered car.

  • hybrid electric cars dont. which are the only electric cars offered by big auto manufactures.

  • That's because hybrids have gas engines (on top of regenerative braking) that's meant to recharge the batteries. They're not "electric cars" because they've both got an electric motor and gas motor, hence why they're called "hybrids." Else, you might as well call a regular gas car a hybrid because it has a battery that starts the gas engine.

  • shut the fuck up. they should have plugs.

  • lol. I love how you resort to volatile behavior. Oh, I agree that hybrids should have plugs just in case of emergencies. That or jumper cables. I'm just glad actual electric cars (NOT hybrids) do come with plugs.

  • electric cars don't exist, why would gas companies want you to plug in for fuel? thats my point. sorry i had a bad day.

  • Agreed. Oil companies has been fighting the electric cars for years. With people up in arms about the fuel prices and the idea that we may be close to depleting the resources, oil companies are losing the fight.

  • @dddproject

You fail....electric cars do exist. and youre right, oil companies dont want you to plug in...they want you to think hydrogen is the way to go. which it is not.

  • @fipfapfallywap buy one then, prove me wrong. It this case I want to be proven wrong.

  • @dddproject LOL.....id love to buy one. The audi s the highest price electric on the market tho. Look into Tesla motors, they have a roadster starting at $60,000 and a sport sedan starting at the same MRSP. Either way, if you finance it properly (accounting for gas/electricity/cost of car), it is around the same cost to run and own as a for taurus. no jokes!

  • @fipfapfallywap audi's electric isn't on the market its a concept, and telsa there are waiting lists, so even if you can afford it you probably won't get one. i rest my case.

  • @fipfapfallywap and your right hydrogen fuel cells are a big diversion, but they are electric cars as well.

  • @dddproject True enough...but they dont use electric motors. they are either combustion engines (which are horribly inefficient) or use a hydrolyzing membrane which is worse than the combustion efficiency. Both are poor performers when compared to electrics. and both will turn water into oil. Electrics are the way of the future!

    peace!

  • @fipfapfallywap That's true. But Hydrogen from water is no problem..but it will suck about 4x more energy to create hydrogen. So I agree with you!

  • @fipfapfallywap hydrogen is only good for rotors, and i must say, this is the most retarded engine i have ever seen...

  • @Roadzery

are you kidding me? This is a great concept! the RPM is amazing and the torque is HUGE! you know this is a good system. get with the times. take some engineering basics.

    Hydrogen is horrifying.

  • @fipfapfallywap torque? do you even know the real definition of torque? if the answer is no then, /watch?v=Ri5JK9YOc7c

engineering? im not gonna take advices from some one whom car exaust sounds like a popcorn machine.

Hydrogen? greenpeace called and they said they want you in, srsly, go try some nitromethane, oh w8 you cant ur engine will explone coz the material of which they made it is rly weak.

    pure mechanic>electronics. period.

  • @Roadzery

PFFF your lack of education and clear ignorance is bliss.

You seam to be under the impression that im a child who drives a car which has a noise making exhaust. Funny, though i drive an Audi A3.

You have proven my point, in that you do not understand torque. This engine produces more torque than many 18 wheelers.

thanks for stepping up to the plate, you fail!

  • @fipfapfallywap Whats wrong with hydrogen? Do you realise it will be virtually impossible to convert the majority of our energy into renewable sources over the next 20 - 30 years? That's why we need to tap into hydrogen or fusion.

  • @polygonsky

you need to do some more research. just read about it. read about all of your low ball arguments.

  • @fipfapfallywap Care to explain? I thought that hydrogen was the way to go - what do oil companies have invested in hydrogen?

  • @Strike86 Because oil is a hydrocarbon and the one of the easiest ways to generate large amounts of hydrogen at this time is to separate it from oil.

  • @fipfapfallywap you a silly for thinking that hydrogen is not the way to go. Simply because the existing electrical infrastructure could not even dream of handling an influx of electric cars. also hydrogen burn in a piston engine (an easier switch over to a green fuel for existing cars) not only that but rather than batteries in an electric car a more feasible way to power them is a fuel cell (oh look at that kia is about to release a production model of a hydrogen fuel cell in california)

  • @dugg117

    How do you create hydrogen?

It takes twice the electricity to create hydrogen. In your theory we would have to upgrade electrical infrastructure two fold, if we went with hydrogen cars. Hydrogen is less efficient, just look at power curves and thermodynamics. Electric is the way to go! Faster, more torque, higher efficiency, longer lasting motors.

    Cheers,

  • @fipfapfallywap by the use of hydrogen you can make h2 where you find energy sources rather than building the infrastructure to make the energy available to the cars, also there is this thing called a hydrogen fuel cell so you can still have your electric motor only without your 6 hour charge and heavy batteries and get a 2 min fill up and a much lighter hydrogen tank. I never said anything against electric motors just the way you propose to power them

  • @dugg117

    i understand your point.

But, fundamentally you are wrong. just read about thermo dynamics.

do some research. and if you need some good sources, let me know.

  • @fipfapfallywap Ah the telling me to read about thermodynamics? obviously you don't know enough to know its one word let alone have any useful knowledge on the subject. As for sources California ALREADY has hydrogen fueling stations also a progressive switch (bio-fuel/natural gas -> hydrogen -> future solutions) is much more feasible than using big, heavy, expensive batteries that create more pollution while being made than they save while in use.

  • @dugg117

Do your research you troll. You fail again.

And if you gett he feeling like you want to respond with some lame come back again, just go down to your parents basement, pull out your dads gay porn collection and asphyxiate yourself to death while jerking off to it. You would be doing the world and the environment a big favor!

  • @fipfapfallywap An insult LOL the true sign of and idiot who has lost an argument

  • @dugg117

once again you show your true ignorance. Clearly I am just more mature and intelligent. I wont respond to you any further.

  • I wounder if Audi is going to make the Lamborghini galardo look some what like that.

  • 4500 Nm...

By the way... Tha song selfmade...

  • i want that song

  • Likely selfmade by Audi...

  • Anyone knows what song this is?

  • Song name?

  • Car is great - video SUCKS.

  • WOW!! Cool..get in! pedal to the metal (or plastic in this case) drive for 2 hours..and charge..for staggering 8 hours! mmm..very nice! sigh!

  • It's still metal.

  • It look like,a bit how a hot wheel car :)

  • I'm in love.

  • those are the sexiest headlamps i've ever seen

  • @TheGodsmacked The headlamps of the Citroen GTI CONCEPT are even sexier.

  • But then, "etron" means "turd" in french.

  • Actually true, The key in electronically powered cars are to get all that energy stored some where. Now days it's quite difficult to get a huge amount of energy stored in batteries, the more energy you can get is the amount of power you get at the wheels. And the costs of batteries are not cheap either. Hope that will change.

  • 4500 N/m beginning from < 1 rpm!!!!

  • what's the song name?

  • an audi r8 similar car doesn't look like an astin martin!

  • heres an example dumbasses...

100% Torque, 100% of the Time

The Tesla Roadster delivers full availability of performance every moment you are in the car, even while at a stoplight. Its peak torque begins at 0 rpm and stays powerful at 14,000 rpm. This is the precise opposite of what you experience with a gasoline engine, which has very little torque at a low rpm and only reaches peak torque in a narrow rpm range. This forces you to make frequent gear changes to maintain optimal torque

  • You are absolutely 100% right... Yes, both petrol/diesel engines have to raise their RPM to get their torque higher... While with the electricity, the moment you get the currant, you get the 100% maximum... As you said, 100% OF THE TIME... Impressive...

  • Hmm, how come not all cars are now battery or other clean means powered? With technology like this?... Petrol/Oil companies... we're all looking disapprovingly at you :/

  • Beacause all the companies who sell petrol don't want that to happen since they would lose money.

  • It should be: "Why did all the cars switch to gas/diesel engines?" Some of the first cars were electric.

  • The torque is correct. Electric motors are notorious for producing massive amounts of torques.

  • what!? 4500 Nm of torque??!?!? that's impossible... Maybe 450...

  • This thing has got the torque of an abrams tank.

  • i will not buy it until i see it running and overtaking a ferrari or porche

  • Someone know the music??

  • no way..... you need at least 16 cylinders and 2 turbos for that much torq

  • holy shit

    this is sick

  • meins un fertig....

  • it is posible =)

  • 4500Nm of torque? It's a mistake probably.

    M -torque [Nm]

    P -power[kW] 313hp~230kW

    n -rpm

    M=9550*P/n >> M*n=9550*P  >> P=M*n/9550

    4501[Nm]*488[rpm]/9550=230[kW]

So it's true for 488rpm's but who uses so much torq at that low speed?

    Even that:

    4501[Nm]*3000[rpm]/9550=1413[kW]

can' be right. I doubt if they have batery that could produce so much power, even in a short delay of time.

  • @blady87ziom "So it's true for 488rpm's but who uses so much torq at that low speed?" These are in-wheel motors, they spin at the same rpm as the wheel, thats why so much torque is required for so little HP. If the tires have 0.7m diameter (estimate) 488 rpm=63 KM/H. All those numbers are right, study "Hi-Pa drive" from "PML Flightlink" to learn more.

  • AUDI release yours dreans

  • It's great that Audi is putting out a zero emission vehicle...but they need to take it easy with the insane overuse of lights.

  • Its a concept car. Its supposed to be 100x too much, would you drive around town with those wheels?

  • 4,500Nm of torque, that is possible to drive without wreck the aspalt.

  • There are so many things one could tow with that kind of torque. Mobile homes, houses, small towns...

  • There putting this into Production by 2011. There gonna call it the R4.

  • Where did get that? So to believe.

  • Go look and research the Audi R4. Its what there gonna call it.

  • I WANT THaAT SONG!

  • i want too

  • EV will prevail!!! The future is here.

  • this video has me pumped, wanna go out there and just buy one, only thing, cant do that right now, but looking forward to dream great video, awesome car

  • Same old shit....I don't think anyone cAn't survive this recession.

  • audi 4 ever

  • its a super electric car. now why would you need 3000ft of torque?

my guess is, since theres no where to put your luggages in, you'll have to tow around a trailer home with you?

  • actually the torque comes with the territory for electrics, the same windings that make the electric motor high horsepower, also make it high torque

  • lol nice one, assuming you're pulling a joke.

  • Ok now whats that song called starting at 0:36? Its definately 2 different tracks..

  • how much will this car cost?

  • Probably, arm, leg, and left testicle.

  • It depends how many they make. Given that the Tesla Roadster already competes directly with the R8, and also that no more than a thousand examples are planned for production, I'd say around $250,000. Give or take $100,000; it's too early to tell.

  • This looks like something out of the movie Tron and the new one Tron Legacy.

  • WTF

i read that this beast has over 3000 Ft lbs of torque

  • Yes it's very true!

  • älkhj

  • anyone pricee??????????????
