Seabird? This is the red hooded Crane, the symbol of Japan, nothing to do with the sea, although they sometimes migrate across from Russia in Winter to Japan.

Yes these are beautiful cranes from Winged Migration. Thanks for the upload - I am showing all my friends this footage as we speak. I am in love with cranes.

As for dancing - I think these cranes are more or less in a territorial dispute than they are dancing. But it's still beautiful and they are sure snobby! (Which is a downfall of being regal! : ). I love how the two sweep in on the couple preening, only to take their place and preen in their spot.

These aren't sea birds XD These are red-crowned cranes, Grus japonensis. One of the 15 species of cranes worldwide, these are perhaps the best known... they're quite endangered as well...

They're beautiful birds, thanks for the upload, I LOVE birds, they mean everything to me, I share my home with 16 of them and I've studied them constantly since I was very young.
