EVERYBODY IS A EXPERT ON THE SUPREMES.....NOBODY KNOWS NOTHING EXEPT THE LADIES INVOLVED AND NO FLORENCE HAD A HOME OF HER OWN...,AND SADLY PASSED AWAY AT THE MT. CARMEL HOSPITAL IN DETROIT.
Always thought Cindy was a stunner She brought a certain element to the Supremes after Flo got tha boot (that was a hard act to follow) The thing is you never here of her bitching and moaning (think Mary Wilson) about what went on She just did it Good for her
@paul51 Hey, the truth hurts, don't it? It was all about Diana, Diana, Diana. Florence Ballard died living in a housing project in Detroit. As for "Ms. Diana," well, she used her "assets" to get what she wanted, at the expense of the other girls. Don't look for a Supremes Reunion.
mk162 . . . and what "truth" would that be? I know where Flo died and I, by all accounts, know who put her there . . . Florence Ballard. And a Supremes' reunion would be the last thing I would want . . . after seeing in person what happened at Motown 25, that was enough for me . . . and you should really tone down on your hatred . . . it will age you way beyond your years . . . you are now dismissed.
@paul51 Well, no matter what happened, The Supremes will always be one of the greatest singing groups of all time. But, like The Beatles and KISS, inner strife would tear them apart. For The Beatles, it was Yoko Ono. For KISS, it was Peter Criss's personal problems (see Beth 1979 video for proof). And ditto later for Ace. I'm sure that every group has experienced turmoil at one time or another (The Jackson 5/Jacksons, The Osmonds). Peace out.
You really WERE there @ the Motown 25? I'm stoked! I had one friend who was there too! He told me everything and I was SHOCKED as well he said the whole AUDIENCE WAS! I was not old enough to get around at that time. So, to hear that from someone just meant the WORLD to ME! And to find that you were there TOO! WHOAAAA! I KNOW that was 'enough' for you!!! heh heh! I'm glad you were!!!!!
Flo did not die in a housing project. She dies in a small house she had recently purchased. Your lack of facts are suprpassed by your classless remark. Ross's main asset was her talent.
@mkl62 accually flo did not die penny less as it was reported. the fact is she had come into some money and her life was on the up at the time of her death. she had a home that she payed cash for and was doin very well. she was about to make a come back.
jimmy and terry should have produced more of cindy...they would have been wild songs...an aging supreme with the then new and hip J&T...that would have been exciting.
How come the media NEVER talks about Cindy Birdsong or follows what she is doing? It seems that she is the Supreme who got the LEAST bit of attention.... I liked her a lot
i liked her a lot too but unfortunately cindy has never really been a leader. she seems to follow what the others say and do....and i know who she should listen to least these days. this song was great. i remember she got into financial trouble around this time and diana rescued her.
Great video.. Well,, along side Miss Wilson & Miss Ross then Sherrie Payne & Jean Terrell was "Cindy Birdsong".. And then there is "Cindy Birdsong" Great video,,thanks
She may not have been one of the original Supremes but she certainly was a classy lady. She will always be a Supremes to me. This song was good it just as shame she did not get the backing.

This has a great 80's feel to it. Its a shame it didn't become a huge hit. Would be great to hear it remixed for today's audience.

12-15-2009. Happy Birthday, Cindy. You were a part of one of the all time greatest groups in The Supremes. Even though Diana Ross was a bitch.

mk162 . . . were you in the Group? What a class-LESS remark . . . you ruined your message to Cindy with your tasteless comment.
