  • lot of cars between then and now.

    take care

  • Shhh! We'll keep it between ourselves!

  • You're giving away all the traffic secrets with the collector/distributor lanes, but your videos should be must-views for all Atlanta drivers! Amazing how few drivers use them, especially the ones at the Langford Pkwy. interchange. I always shake my head at the congestion from the merge as I tool along right past it!

You passed right by my exit, I'm in Hapeville (exit 75)!

  • Yeah that is a nice little secret for us locals :) I've used it many times myself.

  • I like at the I-85, I-285, GA-14 connector interchange they all come together into (which I think) 6 carriageways! That even better then Ontario's 401. I think there needs to be more roads like that.

  • Cool, you got the light tower over the freeway and the CONRAC peoplemover

  • The pylon signs for some of those hotel/restaurant developments adjacent I-85 in the airport area have to be too tall to be legible.

  • The GA-14/285/85 interchange is pretty impressive, surprised I've never read up more on that interchange. (or for that matter, looked at what it looks like on Google Earth) Also, I like the collector/distributor lanes you briefly see at about 1:05, do those lanes serve traffic coming from the GA-14 connector, or from 85 or 285?

  • The C/D lanes you mentioned serve all three roads (GA-14 Conn, I-85 & I-285) it's the only way to get to the Old National Highway exit (same on the other side as well) so ramps from all 3 roads meet at about the 1:00 mark.

  • Off the hook as usual Jim. Music is great & I love the overhead views of the interchanges you're on. Puts the massiveness of the roads you film into perspective.

    Keep 'em commin' brother...

  • Thanks! I wasn't sure about the Google earth overheads at first, I may do that more often in future videos.

  • Good video, Jim. I hate all of the weaving on the I-85 North access road, right at the Airport. I almost get taken out everytime by people trying to access the Airport, from exit 71 (Riverdale Road/Airport). Their lane enters from the left.

  • You'd think they would have added another lane or two at that area, it's always felt under-built to me, and yes the weaving is dangerous.

  • A revamp there would be nice. :-) The I-85/285 interchange (Southside) is still nice, though. Sometimes, I don't notice how nice it actually is, driving it everyday.

  • I was following along on google earth. Unfinished highways are so depressing. :(

  • I agree, very sad indeed.

  • nice ride 5 stars

  • Can't wait to see what's in store from you...in HD!

  • Very nice video Freewayjim

    5 stars like always

  • Very nice! I like those Google Earth images, that's a nice option when you have the screen size of HD :)

Also: good music, I don't know Def Leppard too well, but this is nice. 5 stars.

  • This is not the typical Def Leppard song because it's actually good. I'm not a big fan of them but this song was the right length & tempo so I went with it.
