His holiness is the true source of compassion and happiness, his smile and words truly touches my heart and people like me though it doesn't to some others. the dalai lama is speaking simply in this interview because this is probably one of the worst interviews he has had to do. She treats him as though he thinks he's god or a mystical being.. and sometimes she treats him as though his religious views are primitive.

Westerners often view Buddhist monks as primitive or stupid. It is true that they are simple. The idea of staying positive instead of being negative is a simple idea BUT it is a very important one.

gvassi, Wisdom, is ones ability to step back, and to see the simple reality of an object or situation without allowing the influence of emotion to cloud judgment.By nature wisdom is not complex. Imagine life is a complex algebraic equation. He is the algebra teacher and the interviewer is asking for instruction on how to deal with the problem. Instead of giving some enigmatic, and perplexing answer, is it not a teacher’s responsibility to give a simple, and easily understood solution? :)
