In this video I'm playing a Morgan 8L with a 1937 Selmer Balanced Action. Since then I've worked with one of the new Vintage Links, but I am presently enjoying a mouthpiece made by Phil Engleman; all are rubber with a .100 tip opening...
This is good stuff; Tony's technical facility is outstanding. HIs sound does really elevate the higher partials, (the Bb1 range is bright, the the Bb2 range is twice as bright and the Bb1 range is three times at bright, etc.). I suppose this is b/c he is playing in an amplified environment. Tony is amazing; thanks for producing and sharing this--outstanding.
Tony--always fabulous, but that sound--this is the richest and most profound tenor sound combined with the most superlative technique around. Tony--in all his humility--is simply amazing and is a living legend.
Yo, nice approach sir. Liking this. BTW: vintage horns rock.

Thanks for the kind words. The set with Carla was done a long time ago; probably 1984. It was a phenomenal band. Carla is a true genius.
