I think that most people who say the original tron was awesome, is because they are remembering how they felt when they saw the original movie. the artwork for thundercats and gi joes and transformers all sucked to... but they are still awesome for what they meant to us at the time

What an ungrateful review... What you term as "bad CGI" is the pioneering effort to use computer imagery as a major part of film production. Before this, the most CGI you'd ever see in a movie would maybe be a title overlay. WIthout this movie, many of the cool uses of CG might never have developed so rapidly to the complexity and diversity that we see in nearly every movie today.

@MR2Di4 Your right at some point, but computer imagery is far from realistic in movies. I've seen better in videogames (Not comparing to this movie, but comparing to current ones). I like how objects are more solid looking but they have yet to master the human face, if you watch the animated Beowulf movie and Tron Legacy, they both have similar issues but it worked for Beowulf not Tron Legacy, freakish facial contortions. O_O'

LOL, considering what you said and how you said it, but I happened to think that the original Tron movie was amazing! It was filled with action and suspense! I can even give a detailed spoiler synopsis of the entire movie!
