Oh cool! I used to have Corys but they never got jiggy. It was always the Angel fish laying eggs then the Plec would eat them. It was sad because Henri always tried to protect them and she really did look sad :'(

Yeah, our danios and plecs will gobble the eggs pretty quickly if we don't remove them! In the past we've just let the eggs get eaten but this time we put them in a breeder net so hopefully we'll get some fry!

Takes about a week or so (5-7 days) until they hatch. We'll try and catch it on camera but we'd have to be pretty lucky to manage it!

That's one thing we've never been sure of! It's a process unique to corydora and no one really seems 100% sure how it works. We've looked it up and different sites say different things, from the sperm "rapidly passing through her digestive system and fertilizing the eggs", to her "briefly touching the eggs with her mouth after they've been laid" to fertilize them. We've never noticed her touching them with her mouth, though.
