  • i have lots of respect for this car, but the fact at 300shot on this run kinda made me think that this isn't the ultimate dyno-queen... though it still deserves lots of respect, because numbers like this aren't common at all

  • ok.. glad it does that in a mile whats the qt mile time? i bet it has a pretty good mile speed it has a huge turbo..... qt mile is probly not the best.... unless the tune is really good then u got me buddy 1st gear could run like 3 pounds of boost haha but still a fucking sick car and only a dream of mine

  • I dunno whats more impressive... the fact that it dyno'd at over 1700hp... or the fact that it idle's at around 500hp.... lol. kinda scary when you have a car that at only 4000rpm is pushing out 900hp... lol

  • @cardshark525 I dunno what's more impressive either: Where you pulled them 'extremely unbelievable' numbers from, or how a ~3L Engine will boost up twins each the size of a big singlepast 900hp at 4,000RPM. Or ANY engine, that idles at 500hp besides methanol or a turbine. Sorry, but no.

  • @cardshark525 no, it doesnt work like that. A turbo car's powerband is very thin at lower rpms. Add to the fact that it has twin 6765s. Thats considered a turbo big enough for use on its own to make 600+whp . Those huge turbines arent going to get up to speed by 4K Rpm, And once it is in boost there will be a very short amount of time in between when the car is making 900hp and topping out at 1700+hp

  • @xSwordx i think they'll probably spool at 3500.. also the peak was pretty low compared to even a small single, so i think this powerband is pretty wide compared to a single..

  • i bet the 300 shot was just added for the dyno.. the car would be useless on the strip or even highway.....i bet it gets 0 tracktion in 4th and maybe 5th to 6th haha

    Theirs one here thats running 1200hp in Montreal, but his car spends more time in the garage than on the street or the drag strip...

  • @somerandomaussie Whats happening is the dyno driver is flooring it wide open throttle to fast causing the car to choke on too much air and not enough fuel. You have to ease in with the throttle. Car sounds like its tuned with the throttle body. Using predicted map tables would solve all those problems, takes time though. This is just going by what i can hear...i could be wrong

  • top speed is not about horsepower its about gears.

  • Erm, it's about both. Pushing against the force of drag at speed takes power. (Power = Force * Velocity. Or to put it another way, Velocity = Power / Force)

    You are correct that if the gears aren't set up well, the vehicle might never make it to its potential top speed (either gears not tall enough to reach potential top speed without overrevving, or gears badly spaced making it impossible to accelerate after changing gears).
