I can see why they got rid of the senate scene, and Padme's family time on Naboo. Those were freaking annoying as hell! But I didn't have much negitive feelings towards Obi-Wan's searching for the orgin for the dart, that gave me an idea of all he had gone through. And the conversation with Windu wasn't too horrible, a little flat until the end where Obi-Wan shows consern for Anakin but it still shows a little depth to the story.

These scenes all deserved to be deleted, if they'd been there you all would have whiiiiined that it was too boring and not enough action.

Notice there's no deleted scenes of lightsabers flying around and Jango Fett shooting Jedis and Count Dooku fighting Yoda and things blowing up and ships flying around blasting each other. None of those got deleted, and that's why you didn't hate this movie. Admit it.

Why does Palpatine's right hand man stick his tongue out at 1:26... It is so unnecessary. It is stuff like that that makes the SW prequels silly and dumb as well as many of the Special Edition stuff (new musical scene in Jabba's palace). George Lucas is such a childish idiot. You can just see him saying in post, "The kids will think it's really funny and amazing when he sticks his tongue out. It's poetic, because Jar Jar did this in Episode 1, so it kind of connects the two films." Pffff!

Interesting how the first deleted scene (with Padme' pleading with the Senate) was omitted from the film. It's clearly art imitating life (or life imitating art imitating life) when you consider what's happened and is still happening with our government and the warz waged in the name of freedom and democracy. Like the character of Padme' sayz, we need to wake up. Anyhow, that aside for now, great post of these deleted scenes. I really enjoyed them and I've alwayz loved StarWars. :)

Lucas really cut the wrong scenes. The first of the Padme/ Anakin scenes works better than any of their dialogue that was left in the movie. Even the scene with her family had better writing and acting that the terrible scene in the grass. You actually like these characters in those scenes.

In the original, padme doesn't show feelings towards anakin all movie, then confesses her love at the arena, and its like, wtf!? since when!? but that family scene is something we can all related to, as family members know us best, and can detect where these is love/sexual tension!

@Marcell2aG Well if you listen to to commentary on the DVD they were basically telling us things already in other scenes. Like the analysis droid it didn't add anything and Obi-wan says the droids didn't find anything when he talks to Daxter in the diner scene.

Same goes for Padme's Senate speech. All that was said in the Chancellor's office. The background stuff on Naboo is good though and helps the awkward romance attempt.I mean he already met her family and hey even think he's her BF.
