Well, whoever build this should've considered _not_ using grass but stone-plants. The don't grow as high as grass and are more weather resistant. Greetings from a guy how actually builds those kind of systems ;)
@kckins13 its actually very good isolation icelandic people once lived in houses with grass roofs and grass between rocks on the side of the houses :P

@GENERAL1002 ...I have seen many planted roofs in Norway, but I have never seen them mow the roof. I don't think their choice of plant requires it.
I have not seen them use sheep or goats, but I have that image in my head. Do they use sheep or goats in some countries?

This would keep the indoors much cooler in the summer and warmer in the Winter! Kinda like the people who build in the side of hills or mountains.
