the lyrics are wrong... as they have nothing to do with the original. at least put in the comments, that this chinese lady wrote her own words to the music... not that it´s the english version of the song! oh, that she "borrowed" the music and made it her own... without giving any credit. so typical!
@lilith2703 I didn't make any statement anywhere to indicate that the English lyric is a direct translation from Clannad's lyric. It is just a English version which is sung in English and has nothing to do with the Original lyric sung by Clannad.
@winterw00d so the title of your video "Clannad - Coinleach Glas an Fhómhair (English Version)" isn´t exactly that? - a statement that this is the Engish Version of the song titled "Coinleach Glas an Fhómhair"? why isn´t the title of your video "Chyi Yu - Senses In Flight" (which would also indicate what the video ACTUALLY is)... just a thought...
@lilith2703 The title as shown is part of the " tactic " to attract the attention of the westerners to view / listen to this song. If i put "Chyi Yu - Senses In Flight " as the title. No one (especially westerners) bothers to view / listen to the song.
It is beautiful, but these lyrics definitely depart from the translation. As with all questions of this kind, there is one correct ruling. If Clannadtheir /music company or owner of the rights to these lyrics gave their permission for their tune to be used for these lyrics, then such usage is legal. If they did not, Clannad/music company/owner can institute a lawsuit.
All I can say is WOW! This has got to be the most beautiful song that I have ever heard in my life! I have never heard the English version of it before and I am totally blown away. Thank you so much for posting it!
@incubus442 I discovered that the lyrics that are used in this version are not correct. I must saw that it is a wonderful version, but I wish that she could have used the real lyrics. For those who would like to see the real lyrics, go to...

As pmarsh 1986 has already stated this is not a translation of the original Irish song; the tune's been used for the words of a totally different song. It's very nice but please do not mislead people. I'm Irish and also speak the language but I won't give the real translation; there's not enough room!
the lyric is on the right side of this page, please click the (more info) .. it's a very beautiful lyric. Hope u like this english version which is sung by a beautiful asian lady whose name is Chyi Yu

Nice one Winterwood for the english version. My favourite track taken over from the Robin Hood track.

Congratulations! Does this add to the original not one jot. Add to that some ridiculous camera shots and this is very painful indeed!

On the green stubble-fields of Autumn
I saw you, my sweetheart.
Nice were your feet in shoes
And wonderful your nimble gait.
Your two cheeks the color of roses
And your ringlets tightly plaited
Alas that we're not married
Or on board ship sailing away
