Fair one igetya...I've done a bit more reading over on ecf with regards and I now understand the issues with the mhra being the regulating authority. And I am comforted to learn regulation does happen via local trading standards. Still the eliquid should meet pharmasutical grade quality, and as a consumer I would prefer seeing some sort of approved pharma grade logo at least alongsideif not instead of the poison symbol on my eliquid bottle. I'd hate to be reduced to a vaping world of mini ecigs
They didn't place a ban, they put forth a study and conclusions. Bringing the nicotine containing products under regulation is a damn good idea. (as a user of these devices myself) I think this can only be good. Many of the chemicals in them still need to be regulated.
regulation sounds good at 1st, but when you realise what it would entail a different picture appears......it would mean that suppliers would need a license and testing costing thousands upon thousands of pounds each which would inevitably put the vast majority of suppliers out of business. it will end up being just 1 or 2 approved products that would only be available in set mg strength carts......so, a bit pants really ;)
@igetcha69 - True, but at least you could be assured of what's actually in the fluid and be able to hold those few suppliers accountable. Currently you can't very easily, with fluids being made all over the shop and pardon me (the chemist in me) but i know damn well some of the suppliers in the uk knock up this fluid in their own kitchens, one of them i wouldn't trust to wipe his arse, let alone make sure the fluids are stable.
@igetcha69 I agree totally with the regulation. I also appreciate that the costs involved for traders to prove thier products would, by necessity be passed on to consumers. I for one however dont mind paying more for a product i believe to be safe. I expect all products i consume to meet some sort of specific guidelines for hygene, health and safety.
regulation does sound good on paper, but the sharp reality of the situation is that regulation will mean only granting licences to one or 2 companies and those companies will only be allowed to sell rubbish like a super mini style e-cig with pre filled carts in low nicotine strengths......and if regulation comes you can pretty much forget about ever buying bottles of e-liquid, that much is for certain :(
@igetcha69 good job, keep fighting greed and ignorance. I was helping to assemble people stateside to fight the various bans that have been popping up over here. In the US we havent been able to win all of our fights but mostly things seem to be settling down a bit now, which is such a relief.

I have been using an ecig for 3 days and have not had a "real" smoke since I started. This device may well have saved my life.

Symptoms of Nickel Oxide toxicity include skin rash or skin irritations that resolve or heal rather slowly, fatigue, dizziness and other symptoms. It is plausible that any chemical tests thus far have not accounted for prolonged use of atomizers, which would slowly strip the metal and create ions through the DC current. FYI
The atomizer is composed at least by one company of a nickel alloy, the metal reduction from the DC current and H2O may create Nickel Oxide which would appear as a black residue, which is in fact created by using these devices(however this could be formed by other means)Nickel Oxide is a carcinogen, a very substantial toxin that causes lasting damage to lungs and can accumulate in the body.

I'm glad the ban's been delayed. Fucking fascists. Could you let us know if you get any more news or updates on the situation, and we can arrange some kind of response. Also, god forbid the ban goes through, do you know if e-liquids have use-by dates? do they go stale after a certain amount of time, or will they be alright as long as they're unopened?
im not 100% sure exactly what the shelf life is of e-liquids but as long as they are stored in a cold, dark place then they will last ages. if the ban goes thru we will still be able to buy e-liquid from overseas, just not from within the UK......so many suppliers will relocate abroad. but hopefully it wont come to that :)
hahaha i agree with jaydavee that was hilarious. "obviously dont leave suck my dick" HAHAHA. your funny mate. I love your videos. OH MY GOSH. i just heard the part. "whats this guy with bad teeth talkin bout" You make me laugh out loud
If authorities choose to ban e-cigs as opposed to regulating the nicotine content, whilst making chemical-ridden and cancer causing nicotine containing cigs available, it can only be for the sake of profit, profit, and did i mention, profit?
thank god it was extended, however i feel like one day it will happen.. really they make out some excuse that they are bad but in reality we all know they want to keep people on analogs because of the tax revenue.. i hate it.. if anything they should ban analogs but thats too much money loss for them thats all they care about really.. hopefully by the time of the next petition there will be some strong positive evidence FOR PVs! :)
It’s called lobbying; many of these politicians who fight to ban electronics cigarettes are the ones who invest in analogs cigarettes. They don’t want to lose money nor their friends (the manufacture of analogs cigarettes) and the pharmaceutical companies. The pharmaceutical companies don’t want a world full of healthy people. They only benefit from people with sickness. The war is again the manufacturer of analog cig, their investor (the Gov) and the pharmaceutical companies.
I buy most of my ecig gear from TW because of many factors. This video is one of them. Scott's reviews are great and the fact that he is taking the time to give us this info just shows how they are connected to the community of us esmokers.
It's ridiculous that I have found a great alternative to smoking analog cigs and there are people in government who are trying to shut it down. I am down for the fight. Ecigs have saved my life and my health.
money grabbing, that's all it is, my whole family quit smoking all because of e cigs, that's 6 people there, and a large group of my friends and work colleges have quit also. i would rather them put a tax on e cigs than ban them ,they should be ashamed of themselves, i have got 23 people to sign the petition so everyone else should to, all you need is an email adress and a name, im pretty sure everyone has those.
@adamcall911 Can you imagine the loss of profits if the masses begin to switch to e-cigs? Profits derived from insurance, medical bills, taxes for cigs, and not forgetting the reduction of generic fear in society through the ailments caused by traditional cigs. If we were to reduce fear, self-absorption is compromised. Without that, how on earth are we going to maintain a system based on self-absorption, greed, and mutual alienation? Please be understanding.
@toedster Exactley. You hit the nail on the head. They will find some reason to ban them because of all the money that will be lost in tax and so on. I've been using e cigs for just over a month now and I think they're the best thing to stop smoking real cigs. The e ciga are the only thing that's ever worked for me. It's all the chemicals added to tobacco that do the damage. These have eliminated all the harmful chemicals, plus much cheaper. The governments aren't going to like that of course.
Scott is a great spokesman. keep up the good work mate. i just purchases loads of e liquids from the totally wicked's uk site on july 5th and the package came from England??? and u say the ban was jun 26th ??? was just wondering how linked the uk site is linked to the US's one.
Only 4700 signatures at the moment, we need more, if you have watched this video please sign for us even if you are not from UK, it takes less than a minute, Thanks in advance (links in video description)
As a previous 20 a day smoker of around 20 years I was recently spending around £45 a week on cigs & had a developed a bit of a cough, constantly feeling I had to clear my throat. I had low energy levels & with all the bans everywhere was made to feel like some kind of social leper. As a "Vaper" I'm now spending around 1/5 of what I did, cough has gone & I feel much fitter. If the government want to deprive me of this then expect a damn good fight.
When you think about it (as I'm sure they have) if e-cigs supply was entirely under their control we would no doubt be unable to enjoy any cost benefits by switching from smoke to vapour. They would undoubtably tweek the prices to line with regular cigs to avoid damage to this huge revenue. In fact, with no-one dying by way of their addiction, they could actually potentially increase their profit. It's disgusting really.
In my opinion e cigs are the way forward for smokers who can't, or maybe don't want to, shake their addiction. It's called thinking ahead. Smokers would be either ignorant or stupid to ignore the health risk their habit imposes so here, finally, is a surefire method for us to maintain our habit without that niggling dark cloud of dispair that it could effectively end, or at least shorten, our lives. I think the powers that be are just a little pissed that they didn't think of it first.
In the UK approximately 1/3 of the tax revenue is collected purely through the sale of cigarettes, already disgustingly overpriced for what is essentially some dried leaves in paper tubes, actual material/production costs being in the pennies bracket. It's hardly surprising they would be very keen to put the brakes on what is becoming an increasing threat to this massive money spinner.
These "smoking kills" warnings on the side of cig packs are just a smoke screen & a way of easing the consciense of the hypocrits who are more than happy to supply us with the potentially lethal & highly addictive drug in it's crudest form in the first place leading them to a "Well we did warn them" response to the millions of lifes sacrificed every year for the benefit of their economy.
The bottom line is this, the MHRA or FDA couldn't give a rats if you choose to vape your own piss! The real issue is that tobbacco products are highly taxed by the UK, US and pretty much all government across the globe! So it's all about the almighty dollar. Tobacco generates billions of dollars a year in profits just in the US. This is an exciting time as we begin to write what will be the history of vaping, just imagine if fifty percent of smokers world wide got turned onto vaping!
I actually ordered my first e-cig on June 21, the day of the ban??! - but I didnt know they were banning them - only found out today. Ive only had my ecig for 2 days and feel I cannot do without it already, and I cannot find out any information on how it went - are they banned or not - I seriously hope NOT!
Where the hell is everyone, I'm really disappointed in you Brits, tisk tisk.
Even the people who don't smoke and the people who smoke but don't give a flip about vaping should sign this thing. It's all about the rights of individuals living in a "free' country being able to make their own decisions.
And if anyone is fooled into believing this is about the safety and well being of the citizens, its not. I mean seriously, they're not trying to ban cigarettes here...?
thanks for the video mate. I never knew about this video until a mate told me or i would never know. Can i suggest you send all your e-cig buyers this video an email, Facebook, gumtree, twitter, get the internet on this.
Smoking nicotine cause no harm, its saving my life! Lets stop this from happening
It's a damn shame really. They want to ban something that's helped so many people. I'm here in the US, but my thoughts and prayers go out to you guys. Best of luck to you all as you fight for your right to vape!
Im glad I live in the USA... The state of Arizona. we can still carry guns here open and concelled...No permit required... Sorry about your luck.....
done and done. keep it up scott. thank you for being an advocate for something that has simple saved my life. My grandmother died of lung cancel and now i don't have to.
I imagine things work in the UK like they do in the USA. It all comes down to bribes or sometimes called campaign contributions. They don't give a damn about your health, all they care about is the money coming into their pockets. I know the US government has gotten totally rotten and corrupt to the core. If all vapers kicked in to a PAC to give bribes to the right people, the ban could be beaten. Big pharmaceutical companies will be looking to control the market by prescription only laws.
I've responded to both... I only just discovered these things about a week ago and already i'm not even thinking about a "real" cigarette. This can only be a ban in order to stop people escaping the taxman.
igetcha69: If there is anything else we can do, please let us know... Is their a mailing list or something?
i sure went straight along and put my 2 cents in. thanks for enlightening me to the actions. i was rofl when scott said dont say what i wont say even here Ha Ha and he said it twice incase you missed it the first time ! i didnt get a link to this video in my email scott i luckily found it on my own ! ( im subscribed to your youtube channel ) you might want to send it to everyone the more that help the better id say. thanks again and i hope they come to their senses !! (MHRA)

People should spread the news and petition through facebook as well. If the UK E-Cig Ban goes through can one still vape liquid flavors with Zero nicotine? I just have a feeling the Ban in the UK is going to happen. They want people to smoke cigarettes as everyone knows it s a billion dollar industry, one of UK's way of getting TAX so they can fund the Olympics, weapons and take over Iran and so on. If E-cig is a threat to tobacco they will get rid of it no matter wat we do. They are in POWER.
The only reason this is happening is because the Gov. cant get tax the E-cigs, and the E-Cigs wont put people in hospital. Its absolutly fucking outrageous.
alrite scott just wana say i think ur reviews r gr8, very helpful...
just heard about this ban, i cant fuckin believe they wana ban it...its got me reali worried, this needs to get on national television, if theres a public outcry, n their will be if enough people know about it, then they wont be able to ban it. the problem is no-one knows, i didnt even know the e cig existed until a couple of months ago. reali hope the ban doest happen. keep up the good work mate.
I have sent a response to the MHRA...I hope they do NOT ban e-cigs in the UK, because you are right....next it will be the USA (where I live) and everywhere else!!!
I left a comment on MHRA and even though I am from the US, I signed the petition. You, all by yourself, have enough subscribers to make a big difference on these 2 issues! Let's hope the powers that be will be proactive in this matter.
im screeeewing.... i just signed the petition and filled out the form with a looooong comment! Can't believe i just ordered my Tornado and now i may only have 3 months to vape the life outta it!!! O well STAYYY STRONG EVERYONE... KEEP SIGNING AND FORWARDING THE PETITION FOR UR FRIENDS TO SIGN AS WELL i guess....
I think its a disgrace.. it makes no sense to try to ban something that is much less harmful than regular smoking and no 2nd handsmoke or dangerous toxins, were is the logic

Signed! We have to stand united regardless of where we live. Vaping has saved my life. I was a 22 year smoker and have been off of the burning death for three months now. All of the arguments aside, this is a much safer alternative. We have to stand strong in order to get the word out!
Keep up the good fight UK! We may have kicked your ass in the 1700s but you cant let this keep you down! Ecigging is the alternative, it doesnt burn, it doesnt combust, it delivers the fix that people are addicted to! I just got a Joye510 for the wife, arrived yesterday, and she hasnt touched an analog yet! Its a shame that the real reason is money, big tobacco doesnt want to be supplanted!
what about saying "" suck my dick up and down and side ways !!! -- the real joke is them trying to ban ecigs !! you only have to reasearch the pros and cons !!! its a no brainer ecigs are 99% less harmfull then real cigs which are 100% lethal toxins !!!
That's horrible news........I have smoked for more than I actually want to admit, and tried everything to stop, nothing has worked. Nothing but the E-Cigs that is. Damn, the gov has to have their hand in everything. Their agenda is ridiculous.
I am hoping you guys can beat this or come up with an alternative to this. I had already signed the petition a while back, but couldn't remember it. Did it again and forgot about the last time. I am pulling for you guys and hoping that everything will work out.
Hi, I've signed both and I'll be watching this space with great interest. The e-cigarette is fantastic and with continued use I'll have gone right down to minimal nicotine. As usual this government has an eye towards all the money flooding into the Treasury which will be severely diminished if everyone gives up conventional smoking especially as this government has totally screwed up the economy. IF SOMETHING WORKS DON'T CHANGE IT.
Filled out the form for the NHRA. This is very sad, I hope they push it off for 3 years. I love my e-cigs. If they ever try to ban these in the US, I'm gonna stock up like a madman.
Hi Scott, I hope everyone there in the UK can overcome this madness. Also I just wanted to add a little information about why The US want the e-cig ban. A little example: when you buy a pack of cigarettes for, lets say, $6.00, of this $6.00, around $1.00 go to the tobacco company, less than $1.00 go to the store owner and the rest of the money go to the government. This is the main reason of the fda crusade against e-cig. And remember, no matter what...
CO2 = Nontoxic natrual life giving gas. (Considerd by government agencies as a health hazard a pollutant and a taxable pollution that needs to be regulated and tracked).
Marijuana = study of 2252 people in Los Angeles failed to find a correlation between the smoking of cannabis and lung, head or neck cancers. These effects have been attributed to the well documented anti-tumoral properties of cannabinoids!
Scott, You are a hero!!. Thank you for supporting a life saving stuff that an e-cigs are . I'll try to follow you and will fill all the forms and petitions that will be needed to keep an e-smoking legal. Thanks for all your reviews. They're great.
Great video Scott, I'm a musician just turned to e-cig over last week, it would be a great shame for a ban to be enforced. The Tobacco companies are getting scared that there is finally a safer alternative to their cancer sticks, and that they are growing in popularity and becoming more socially acceptable.
Government wants smokers to keep smoking. Patronizing anti TV ads and rubbish NRT only help to keep people hooked on the 'habit' (we all know it's a addiction, so why not call it one?)
Scott - What specifically can we (in the US) do to help? Will our signatures be valid on the petition? Will our comments be valid on the mhra's site? We really need to hit this hard and hit this fast! I'm sure that we (in the US) will do what we can - after all of the help the rest of the world gave us with the whole FDA thing!
thanks scott for this vid i had no idea & i have encouraged friends & family to get one. how can they try to ban e-cigs or e-liquid when fags are legal. thier argument is so weak "like the capsules are small kids could swallow them" well ban monopoly then as well lol, how stupid do they think we are to let kids near them. not only that surely many scientists & doctors have studied them & no proof they're harmful even if they arent perfect cant be worse than fags. will spread the word.
Fear of the unkown drives these reactions and is driven by the ignorant. I hope the petition educates and triggers proper research to prove what we alrerady know. And if they ban the nictine, then I still beleive vaping nicotine free juice with, say, a menthol falour can still get people off tobacco. If idiocy prevails and nictine fluid is lost, then the nictine free vape can still hlep. Let us not completely give up in vaping whatever the outcome.
Ya it was a week ago but i've been buying e-cigs only from china for the past year even before it got turned over.
I'll of course sign the petition but just to let you know that customs are weak, may be different with the UK for better or for worse, ask your fellow UK e-cig smokers how stingent customs are in your country.
Just want to enlighten you that all MAY not be lost.
Great Video Scott, I started using an E-ni in December and for the first time in years have been smoke free. This licenseing does seem fishy, especially that they want it to come into force so soon, and that it gets proposed the day after Johnson & Johnson get their Nicorette inhalator licensed. I've responded to both links and will get as many others as I can to do so.
This is dogshit.. the goverment are only getting rid of Electronic cigarettes because they know if it takes over the normal cigarette they will loose alot of money, they tax alot on normal cigarettes.
You've got my support Scott. I work for a VERY LARGE Corporation here in the States and I will get as many people as I can to help out. And as you stated, if they are banned in the U.K., it will raise concern all over the world... This has to be stopped. The benefits of vaping over smoking are so obvious... it's all about power/money and I'm disgusted by it.
Great way of doing it.. send out a petition. 1980 Signatures Total when i filled it out.. good work. Hope you have my back when they drop the hammer in Canada. (they're still on the fence)

Also, god forbid the ban goes through, do you know if e-liquids have use-by dates? do they go stale after a certain amount of time, or will they be alright as long as they're unopened?
Cheers,
George

@georgerajdixon
hi mate,
im not 100% sure exactly what the shelf life is of e-liquids but as long as they are stored in a cold, dark place then they will last ages. if the ban goes thru we will still be able to buy e-liquid from overseas, just not from within the UK......so many suppliers will relocate abroad. but hopefully it wont come to that :)
cheers

If authorities choose to ban e-cigs as opposed to regulating the nicotine content, whilst making chemical-ridden and cancer causing nicotine containing cigs available, it can only be for the sake of profit, profit, and did i mention, profit?
toedster 1 year ago
thank god it was extended, however i feel like one day it will happen.. really they make out some excuse that they are bad but in reality we all know they want to keep people on analogs because of the tax revenue.. i hate it.. if anything they should ban analogs but thats too much money loss for them thats all they care about really.. hopefully by the time of the next petition there will be some strong positive evidence FOR PVs! :)
LegendOfKiwi 1 year ago

Ecigs have saved my life and my health.
siesonekmk 1 year ago
money grabbing, that's all it is, my whole family quit smoking all because of e cigs, that's 6 people there, and a large group of my friends and work colleges have quit also. i would rather them put a tax on e cigs than ban them ,they should be ashamed of themselves, i have got 23 people to sign the petition so everyone else should to, all you need is an email adress and a name, im pretty sure everyone has those.
adamcall911 1 year ago
@adamcall911 Can you imagine the loss of profits if the masses begin to switch to e-cigs? Profits derived from insurance, medical bills, taxes for cigs, and not forgetting the reduction of generic fear in society through the ailments caused by traditional cigs. If we were to reduce fear, self-absorption is compromised. Without that, how on earth are we going to maintain a system based on self-absorption, greed, and mutual alienation? Please be understanding.
toedster 1 year ago
@toedster Exactley. You hit the nail on the head. They will find some reason to ban them because of all the money that will be lost in tax and so on. I've been using e cigs for just over a month now and I think they're the best thing to stop smoking real cigs. The e ciga are the only thing that's ever worked for me. It's all the chemicals added to tobacco that do the damage. These have eliminated all the harmful chemicals, plus much cheaper. The governments aren't going to like that of course.

If the government want to deprive me of this then expect a damn good fight.
slamshibar 1 year ago
When you think about it (as I'm sure they have) if e-cigs supply was entirely under their control we would no doubt be unable to enjoy any cost benefits by switching from smoke to vapour. They would undoubtably tweek the prices to line with regular cigs to avoid damage to this huge revenue. In fact, with no-one dying by way of their addiction, they could actually potentially increase their profit. It's disgusting really.
slamshibar 1 year ago
In my opinion e cigs are the way forward for smokers who can't, or maybe don't want to, shake their addiction. It's called thinking ahead. Smokers would be either ignorant or stupid to ignore the health risk their habit imposes so here, finally, is a surefire method for us to maintain our habit without that niggling dark cloud of dispair that it could effectively end, or at least shorten, our lives. I think the powers that be are just a little pissed that they didn't think of it first.
slamshibar 1 year ago
In the UK approximately 1/3 of the tax revenue is collected purely through the sale of cigarettes, already disgustingly overpriced for what is essentially some dried leaves in paper tubes, actual material/production costs being in the pennies bracket. It's hardly surprising they would be very keen to put the brakes on what is becoming an increasing threat to this massive money spinner.
slamshibar 1 year ago
These "smoking kills" warnings on the side of cig packs are just a smoke screen & a way of easing the consciense of the hypocrits who are more than happy to supply us with the potentially lethal & highly addictive drug in it's crudest form in the first place leading them to a "Well we did warn them" response to the millions of lifes sacrificed every year for the benefit of their economy.
slamshibar 1 year ago
The bottom line is this, the MHRA or FDA couldn't give a rats if you choose to vape your own piss! The real issue is that tobbacco products are highly taxed by the UK, US and pretty much all government across the globe! So it's all about the almighty dollar. Tobacco generates billions of dollars a year in profits just in the US. This is an exciting time as we begin to write what will be the history of vaping, just imagine if fifty percent of smokers world wide got turned onto vaping!
Boycott!

I imagine things work in the UK like they do in the USA. It all comes down to bribes or sometimes called campaign contributions. They don't give a damn about your health, all they care about is the money coming into their pockets. I know the US government has gotten totally rotten and corrupt to the core. If all vapers kicked in to a PAC to give bribes to the right people, the ban could be beaten. Big pharmaceutical companies will be looking to control the market by prescription only laws.

Hi, I've signed both and I'll be watching this space with great interest. The e-cigarette is fantastic and with continued use I'll have gone right down to minimal nicotine.
