When I was in France visiting my sister, I got sick and a doctor came to the house. Remember that, Americans - house calls. He took care of me, then gave me a prescription and left. No bill. No red tape. Just good medicine. Doctors in France don't make $500,000 a year, but he was driving an Mercedes S-Class, so I got the impression that socialized medicine was hurting the doctors in France. I know FOX viewers. Horrible France strikes again. Ignorance is a bitch, but it's curable.
All true. If healthy people age 18 to 65 were allowed to pay into it then it would be bursting with cash. If it only serves high maintenance old farts then yes it will run out of money some day or not. Some say its good for another 40 years in its present condition just think if we started fixing it now instead of lying about it and trying to destroy it. Its all about the all mighty dollar and insurance companies sucking us dry.
As a Canadian I have to say that's the funniest line at 1:46 that they are so incompetent they forget to get paid, ROFL. I have a lifetime, cradle to grave 100% free Medical system in my Country and I would do anything to protect it, no matter what the flaws as any system has flaws. But if the underlying principle is sound then the system can and will be eventually built correctly. Our Heath System is enshrined in our equivalent of your Constitution, the Charter of Rights and the Health Act.
@SimXLive Lol, ohh I see... You live in Canada, where you're charged with murder if you shoot a burglar. Canada's Nazi-like gun laws are the 1st step towards controlling the masses. One of the first actions the Nazis did was gun control. A Canadian wouldn't have the 1st clue about freedom/self-accountability. Can't even provide healthcare for yourselves without big brother getting involved. The only thing Canada has right is their stance on cannabis, you guys should just legalize it already.
I feared socialized medicine until I lived in Canada for a few years. I took a friend to the hospital after she had an asphalt-plowing accident on her bike. I expected horrible things: dismal conditions, long waits, uncaring doctors, etc. It was the opposite on all counts. The hospital was actually beautiful and pleasant. She received fast, spectacular care from people who seemed like they actually DID care. All free. I have never had such a positive hospital experience in the U.S.
@TheViciousSquare I am Canadian, can you please tell why you expected your neighbor, a country in the Western Hemisphere with the second largest deposits of Oil in the world, with the strongest banking system in the world, a country whose medical system is ranked 9th while yours is 37th, a country who is ranked 2nd in education while the US is 22nd, we invented the Blackberry, were in WWI,II BEFORE the USA, I am personally insulted by your ignorance of my country, when I know so much about yours
And another point, purely self centered for you so inclined; do you really want untreated sick people with unknown and maybe pandemic illness' next to you in line at the grocery? Maybe you would suggest that we identify and put in containment camps? Well if we are going to take the time and money to identify, and house in large for profit prisons, we might as well treat in the first place. Then when we meet whatever Maker that Made us, we can hold our heads up.
Socialized medicine under a single payor system would be the best thing that could happen to the U.S, too many people do not have access to health care when they need it ... so when these same people end up coming into the ER, they are much worse off and the EMTALA law says we cannot refuse service to anyone... so they will get care then, and it will be much more expensive than if we paid for them to see their doctor and get antibiotics back when they first felt ill.
orangeblood is a nice example of why I would never vote for any Republican. You know, the ones who are "pro life" but love the death penalty, war and a few retards beating homosexuals to death while claiming it's a "choice" and anyway, Jesus hates fags even though he ran around with 12 young men. I'd say that's suspicious.
@Greywolf3 You have no clue, I'm against every war we're in right now, dipshit. I claim no party unlike you fucking retards that turn every issue into a political one. Most of you are so brainwashed that you can only blame the other side instead of bringing up solutions.
I'm simply a Ron Paul supporter who doesn't want the federal government involved in every aspect of my life. But, if you really need the fed govt to spoon feed you and tuck you in at night than I feel sorry for you.
@orangeblood307 How is the gov involved in your life except when you go to the DMV. Tell me please how they are fucking up your life, because I think your full of shit. I'll bet you haven't dealt with a single gov representative since you got your SSN. You Americans have the LEAST gov intrusion in the entire developed world but the rest of us have to listen you whine and whine about it. Like your smart ass comment at the end. I live in a regulated country and nobody tucks us in!
@SimXLive Lol, I see you watch too much MSNBC.... I don't watch any MSM. What country are you in? If you don't live here, don't shout your uneducated opinions.
My federal government is doubling in size every year with more rules & regulations. They tell us what we can & can not grow in our own yard, they tell us what we can & can't put into our own bodies, they tell us where, when, & how we can defend ourselves. It's getting worse by the day. Heard of the NDAA bill?
@orangeblood307 I don't even get those stations, I'm in Canada. I have 2 College degrees, how many do you have? If your Fed Gov were to double in size every year and started as one person it would over a million employees in just one month let alone a year. So doubling in size is utterly false, you made that up!
I doubt that you have even had a bylaw officer show up at your dorstep let alone be told what to do. Again you made it up.
@SimXLive I don't need a college degree to run my own storage business. If you want to have a pissing contest, go somewhere else because I guarantee I make more than you. Who cares though?
If you don't see where big government leads us, than you're fucking clueless. Someone has to bitch about this while you sheeple just go along with it. They tell you to jump, you guys ask: "how high?"... Pathetic.
@orangeblood307 You make more than me? Last time I checked you don't know anything about me so how you found out how much I make is quite a feat! What a shame your still a brainless moron!
@SimXLive You have two College Degrees? That doesn't mean a thing. I have a college degree and a JD. I speak three languages. I have spent plenty of time in Canada and the people are nice except Quebec and certain parts of Ontario. Your healthcare is not so great. When you look at how they rated the systems cost was a major factor. So the U.N. survey is a bit skewed in some areas. I will pick quality over anything. So what are your degrees in that make you think you are so smart?
@olgadel1 That I have 2 degrees means I have 2 degrees. It means I can reason, it means I've proven myself. It means so much more then you realize. But that's the problem with America, people like you who can't see properly. Who would rather pretend that they live in a great country, whereas I LIVE in one!
@SimXLive Typical rant of the stupid. ...You have two college degrees doesn't make you smart. You have watched two much Wizard of Oz and believe that a diploma makes you smart. If you only had a brain!
Sorry the only thing that kept you safe during the Cold War was our military. Now you depend on the USA to keep you safe from China. Just a wanna be in the global community.
@SimXLive -Cont.. Socialized healthcare is just another step towards socialism. Have you ever heard over self-accountability? A decade from now that word might not even exist if we keep going down the road we're going.
Guys like you don't even realize where more & more government will eventually get us. They're already trying to have the power to control the internet... The only place where we can find alternate sources of info instead of the controlled mainstream media. Wake the fuck up.
@orangeblood307 You don't know the difference between Socialism and Social programs do you. I mean you really are that stupid aren't you. I don't have time to explain basic English to you, so having a discussion is out of the question. You are simply incapable of intelligent thought!
And I will keep my 100% free social medical program, you can go pay through the nose for all I care.
@SimXLive Well, enjoy your shitty quality of healthcare, you get what you pay for. I've heard countless stories of Canadians coming to America just to get good quality healthcare. You guys are pussies, no self-accountability... You expect big brother to provide every service for you sheeple.
@orangeblood307 Countless people? How many is countless, 500, 5000, 5 million. You know your stupidity shines through on every one of your dumbass comments in here. Every body here has disagreed with you. I can't even tell you how wrong you are because like all the other republican assholes you don't listen anyway, you just vomit hate and ignorance. Now like I said before FUCK OFF ASSHOLE!
@SimXLive Well, everyone that watches oldfartrants videos are liberals, so of course everyone on here is going to disagree with me... Liberalism is a mental disease, didn't you know that? You can't even have a civil debate with me... Typical liberal hatred. I'm not the one spewing hate & ignorance, that's you. I'm not just going to listen to someone insult me without spewing insults back at you... Learn how to act like an adult, then reply back to me.
As a dual national, US and UK, I've experienced both the American and British health care systems first hand. The British is by far superior. The NHS is excellent. Also, because of the NHS safety next, private health care insurance in the UK is very affordable. How come the GOPig pundits say there's plenty of money for tax cuts for billionaires and to fight Dubya's wars of choice; but not enough money to provide Americans with decent health care? Long live the NHS!
@MrBushlied What about dental, are they ever going to include that. They don't in here in Canada and it is very expensive, actually we have the exact same system as in the US when it comes to Dental unfortunately. The UK?
@SimXLive Not everyone in the UK has NHS provided dental care, unlike medical care, it's means tested. I don't know the criteria. Also, it's very hard to find a dentist accepting new NHS patients. On the plus side, dental care is much less expensive in the UK than the US.
I have a question. What happens in the US if someone is seriously injured due to an assault, stabbing, shooting, hit and run etc. and that person has no healthcare and the perp cannot be identified.
Let us say the victim is invalided for life. Who pays?
@oldfartrants I thought so. So the government SHOULD take a percentage of the wage to go to healthcare just like they take a percentage of the wage for taxes. It`s the only logical solution. It happens the world over and yet Americans see it as an intrusion on liberty. They see SOCIALised anything (Demonic word in capitals) as a Communist plot and yet America is healthwise fairly low on the list of developed countries.
@PhilipPorter The USA spends 3 TIMES as much on healthcare than other developed countries do with inferior results. I don't know why there's even an argument about it. Oh wait - actually I do - the health insurance companies are making billions of dollars off inferior or no service and letting people die because they don't have enough money to see a doctor. This country has gotten so stupid I'm seriously considering getting out of here and moving to a country where everybody isn't an idiot!
@oldfartrants I've been planning on leaving the country for some time now. Seriously! Europe may not be perfect but it sure as hell has to be better than the shit hole this country is turning into. If Ron Paul is not president, I'm seriously moving the hell out of this country. I just can't live with people who are okay living like this...
@PhilipPorter They don't take a portion of your wage unless you can afford it. When I work I pay in, when I don't work, I don't pay. But I'm covered all the time. The ONLY difference between the Canadian system and the US system is the way the money is handled and by whom. THAT IS IT! Just the money, the gov is just a big fucking insurance co that's all. It's single payer, the simplest easiest to administer medical system there is!
@PhilipPorter 1986 Law by Reagan is your answer. The law has the name Catastrophic in it. Look it up. But the short answer is everyone or the taxpayer because the person MUST be cared for. But think of the cost of not taking care of the person, probably three or four times higher. Lost productivity, wages, and another sole to care for long term. much, much more expensive. And if this happens to a lot of people, then the system collapses.
I lived in UK until I moved to USA in 2007, and thus have first hand experience of a socialised healthcare because my parents were never able to pay the (optional) private medical insurance. My medical issue occurred many years ago, but I would be dead were it not for the NHS, the UK's socialised healthcare system.
The USA will never truly be a first world country until it adopts a real socialised healthcare system. I say that because I love this country, and want it to be better.
Alright, I'll come back tommorow with more links. And I'll chew on what you told me about the bible and god. But as far as im concerned its God that converts you not the other way around like Mac was saying.
Does the hospital spring for the Famous Grouse? The whole reason I cant get behind it here is because nobody seems to want to get the costs under control. In my dealing with insurance companies they do way too much as professional middle men in keeping the costs unaffordable for anyone who doesn't pay for a subscription to them. If the hospitals and doctors sold that subscription directly to the local patients and insurance was for catastrophic situations its seems it would cost less overall.
Lol, You can't possibly compare the US with the UK or any European country, the US has 300 million+ people!! It's easy to have anything socialized when the population is low. Same reason education is better overseas, it's a whole lot easier educating a smaller group of people.
Socialized medicine sounds good but it won't work here. Plus, I don't want the Fed government fucking up more shit than they already have.
@orangeblood307 So you're saying that universal healthcare itself is ok then? It's the population count that makes it bad? Not the "death panels" and "gulags" and "mass exterminations" like the Tea Party says? Just too many people? And you're saying that laying off teachers like the Republicans are trying to do is a bad idea because it increases the class sizes? That's our problem? So you agree that more teachers with smaller classes is the way to go then? Glad you cleared that up.
@oldfartrants I'm just not for all this big government shit, if the states want to implement universal health care then they can. I can see universal healthcare working overseas because they're not dealing with a 300 million+ population and so many illegal immigrants. But why is it my responsibility to pay for someone else's healthcare?? Why would you want more money taken out of your check to pay healthcare for smokers, fat asses, drug addicts, or other people who don't take care of themselves?
@orangeblood307 You're already paying for it because your tax dollars pay fwhen people who have no insurance and go to the emergency room when they're sickand they can't pay the bill. You pay for it in a very inefficient and very expensive way. Think about that.
@oldfartrants Yeah, but we could fix that somehow without implementing a giant government takeover of HC. The Fed government should NEVER force anyone to buy private or gov't-ran insurance. Obamacare will force me to buy private insurance, that's so fucking wrong it makes my head want to explode! We need healthcare reform but not this kind of reform.
Call me paranoid but I don't want the government involved in every aspect of my life and it seems like we're heading down that road fast.
@orangeblood307 Well, somebody is going to have to pay for the bull-dozers when they come and shovel those 'non-compliants' into the trenches and clear the streets. Hopefully the mass graves will not contain any of your loved ones. Human beings, created equally, rise and fall, some get up again and keeping going until they reach the point we all reach at the end. We are the human family, if we are able to lend a hand to our brother or sister, we should.
@Wolfiemouse We are the human family, which is exactly why we don't need the federal fucking government mandating we have to purchase ANYTHING. Humans can care for each other without a MASSIVE government takeover of healthcare. Nothing good comes out of huge gov't, it just gives the people less freedom & liberty.
@orangeblood307 You're just repeating what you heard on talk radio or Fox. Our Medicare system is excellent and beats the insurance companies all to hell. If humans were caring for each other, there would be no issue. But, people are NOT caring for others. So I have to ask, are you someone who supports the notion that if someone does not have insurance, gets sick or injured, they should just die? Or do you prefer to be FORCED to pay for them with increased costs in both insurance & medical?
@Futureplanet To put it simply, we're too broke to afford it without major cuts and major tax increases. I would rather keep our current HC system than have more money taken out of my check to pay for someone else's healthcare, it's not my responsibility. Plus, it's just 1 step towards socialism.
Obamacare is far worse than socialized healthcare though, it's pure fascism. Forcing people to buy HC insurance from corporations is just wrong and unconstitutional.
When you pay your premium on your private health insurance that money does in fact go towards the payout on someone else's claim. You're already paying for their healthcare...as they are for yours. The difference between a private health insurance system and a government run one is that the former also uses your money to pay itself in the form of profits and dividends.
@Venator70 Wouldn't that be better than giving more money to the Fed gov't so they can grow the size of gov't even more and waste more money on useless programs? While the private sector grows the economy, the government just gets in the way of growth. The last thing we need is the Fed taking over more of the private sector.
I'm not the type of person that wants government involved in every aspect of my life.... It never leads to anything good.
Government employees still get paid. The money still turns. Difference is that the company itself doesn't suck money out of the health care and into shareholders.
The evidence is clear. The US pays 2.4 times more per captia for its healthcare than the UK and gets back lower life expectancy, greater infant mortality and a GREATER percentage of government GDP paid to those without insurance (due to the lack of preventative care I mentioned).
@orangeblood307 I realise that last point is counter-intuitive so I'll expand on it.
Giving social health care to everyone means that the people who really need it see a doctor early and often. Minor issues are picked up and treated before they become major ones. People are therefore healthier and more productive.
If you want a smaller government and better economic growth then the best thing to do is to nationalise healthcare. [Source: WHO World Health Report 2000]
@Venator70 I just don't see why you would want complete government takeover of something that isn't broke. Reform is needed but not that drastically.
Obamacare is far worse than nationalized healthcare, it's pure fascism. Forcing people to buy health insurance from insurance companies is wrong on all levels.
All my support goes to Ron Paul, he is far more experienced than the community organizer: Obama on healthcare. 1 man can't change it all but he's the only one with any common sense.
I agree with you on that particular Obamacare issue (To a degree. I, in the UK, am "forced" to buy car insurance from a private company. It's not legal to drive without it. I don't know if the US operates in a similar manner) but remember that his plan to provide a cheap public option was squashed by the republicans. Pity really. All he had to do to spin it was say "Medicare for everyone".
On Ron Paul. I'm afraid that I'm largely unaware of the finer details of his plan. I know he got some flak recently when some of his supporters at a rally suggested that they'd be in favour of leaving the uninsured to their fate while he reminded them that he never turned anyone away from his practice.
Has he elaborated on the economics of his plans? (Feel free to PM me if the word limits here are too tight)
@orangeblood307 You only think the system isn't broke because you're not paying attention. US health care is 36th among developed countries. Our costs for care as a % of GDP is more than double anywhere else in the world. Our medical costs are the fastest rising segment of the economy. Identical meds and procedures in European countries cost a fraction of what we pay. Ex: advertising meds & drs is not allowed, eliminating marketing costs, also no "profit" required for owners and shareholders.
@orangeblood307 Are you trying to tell us that the greatest country in the world cannot manage its population? You have acknowledged that education and health care are better "over there" because their numbers are less. That sounds a bit like, well, stupid. We would have more people paying in, more resources, more people who can work in those service jobs, etc, etc. I've heard that argument before, and it doesn't make any more sense to me now than it did then. I wonder how China & India manage.
@pattreid Your not the greatest country in the world or we would not be having this discussion. Get over your USA #1 bullshit cause IT ISN'T, not by a long shot. When you realize how not number one you are only then can you start to rebuild it because I won't say that you can't be #1, just that you are not now. So get over yourself and start fixing things!
@orangeblood307 You sure as hell can compare them, why not? With almost 400M people it should be that much easier for the US to adopt a single payer system. If you want to convince yourself it won't work before you've even tried well to me you sound like a quitter, are you a quitter? Are you still afraid of the dark too?
@Denverlibertarion Sure thing, socialized healthcare is so terrible. That would be why France is No.1 in the WHO rankings and the USA is at No.37 just underneath Costa Rica. I await your riposte, which will undoubtedly be chock full of hard facts and not sound at all like some kind of completely anecdotal paranoid fantasy.
@orangeblood307 Really? I guess different perspective. I'll give you my example: My father has heart disease so he went for emergency operation there. Everything went well, the only cost he had to pay was $20 for room he was recovering in. He has private insurance.
@Stingerbillion So, what does private insurance have to do with socialized government-run healthcare? I don't know much about Canadas HC, I'm only going off of what I've heard and I've heard both good and very bad things about your healthcare up there. It probably depends on the region you're in. I wouldn't know though, I rarely go to Canada.
I too have experienced National health care in the UK first hand as well as seeing nurses and doctors administer the best and most comfortable final days both my parents could have wished for.
The nurses in British hospitals are angels on earth caring for people as if they were their own.
Socialised health care combined with a social conscience!
LOL, another good one.. Yes you have the best healthcare system in "YOUR WORLD" because most Americans think they are the world. I'm glad that I don't live in that world,, I will stay in Canada with our second rate healthcare system and yes there are some things that need fixing as in any system but at least I won't have to claim bankruptcy if I need some care. 60% 0f all bankruptcy in the US is caused from your wonderful medical system. Damn we don't have stats like that here !!!
remember, A government that can give you anything can kill you. This is what happened in Socialist germany, This is what happened in the USSR, Its happenening NOW in China, the UK the netherlands and HERE!
@Denverlibertarion Yeah sure because it's so much better that the government already has the power to execute you, than to potentially heal you for free.
Seriously Though oldfart, you misunderestimate the evils of socialized medicine. If implemented correctly, it will lead to rendering people unemployable, unhousable and even eliminate their lives. I have been a victim of healthcare in Califonria's subsidized healthcare system when I was young and I have seen what it did to others. Our government is inventing false diagnoses of diseases that arent even real and are labeling people to keep them from working or producing.
@Denverlibertarion Try me again when you don't make up words. "Misunderestimate"?
Oh and who the fuck are you to FORCE people to pay out of pocket for life-or-death treatment, and raise the bogeyman of so-called totalitarian gov't if someone says that should be changed?
@Denverlibertarion Private health insurance companies have already rendered people unemployable, caused them to go bankrupt and lose everything, and eliminate the lives of 45,000 every year because they can't afford to see a doctor. And you think that's a good system? And why do you keep talking about Russia? Didn't Reagan kill communism? Get over it and stop being so paranoid. And stop sticking up for the elites because YOU aren't one of THEM and they'd just as soon let you die as look at you.
@Denverlibertarion If someone gets dumped by their insurance company and goes bankrupt because of astronomical medical bills, how exactly is THAT the government's fault? No states have universal healthcare - what the fuck are you talking about? Are you just trying to be an asshole and stir things up here, or are you really that fucking stupid? Or are you getting paid to post by some neocon group? If you are, you're out of here pal! I don't want some Nazi fucktard making money off my channel.
@oldfartrants how exactly is THAT the government's fault?
Our government has the power to manufacture homelessness and unemployment by using socialist security to blacklist it has the power to confiscate property from poor blacks in Florida and give their land to country club owners, it has the power to confiscate guns, it has the power to turn away katrina refugees at gun point, it has the power to arrest people for being homeless.
@Denverlibertarion Make what companies pay? Pay for what? Who's getting "blacklisted" and for what? Where's your evidence? Have you read the other posts on this page from people who actually have universal healthcare saying how great it is? Do you think they're just making shit up like you do? You're a sick stupid paranoid fuck - the last shit I took has more intelligence than you do. Unless you provide verifiable rferences to the ridiculous claims you make, stop posting here.
@oldfartrants I have been blacklisted. I was forced to go to a psychiatrist by my parents when we were living in California for awhile. I was being picked on at school. I never had this problem in other places I lived in but here it was different. My parents obsessed about it and blamed me. They forced me to go and the doctor also blamed me for it and now I have a psychiatric record. I was denied employment at a big company because Social security shared it with them. Im not alone.
@Denverlibertarion HELLO! Blame your parents! This story explains a lot - you ARE mentally ill - thanks for admitting it. No wonder you're so fucked up and paranoid. I think the only thing left for you to do is go live in Yemen where you don't have to worry about "big government" screwing you over.
@oldfartrants But the diagnosis was false. I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which is actually mental retardartion more than mental illness. the doctor questioned that id be able to work marry be independant. I got away from my parents and lived with My uncle and Aunt in New Hampshire where I went to UNH and met Brian. I got a middle class job a wife and kids. But officially I am considered to be socially retarded and unintelligent. I have an IQ of 113 and scored 93% on a social test.
@oldfartrants The government should NEVER have the power to force the purchase of healthcare on anyone. Do you think socialized HC is just free?? No, it would be taken out of my paycheck to pay for some unhealthy fatfuck's healthcare.
Liberals always talk about freedom but yet they want the government involved in every aspect of their lives, which is the complete opposite of freedom. I don't get you guys on these issues. Less government= more self-liberty and freedom.
Sticking up for the elites? Just wait until healthcare is nationalized!
BTW, Id rather my children die from lack of healthcare than 20 years from now they get executed or enslaved because of their views or beliefs or because something bad happened to them and socialism failed to help them.
@Denverlibertarion Yeah just look at all the posts here from people who actually live in other countries with socialist healthcare! Story after story about children being murdered because they don't have our expensive American system. You are one of the dumbest motherfuckers I've ever encountered. You know nothing and you're blind to the facts, even when they're right in your face! If you'd rather see your children die than have healthcare you shouldn't even be allowed to vote!
@oldfartrants first of all, these people are still young, able bodied and have yet to go through what Tom Condliff and countless others have. Otherwise they wouldnt be alive to tell you.
Chances are they never been sick and are just harpin leftist propaganda.
@Denverlibertarion How do you know that? Did they state their ages? You actually think people relaying their experiences is "leftist propaganda"? Tom Condliff is one case and yes,a sad one. 45,000 people die in America every year from lack of healthcare and that means nothing to you. I'm growing tired of your insanity and bullshit. You have nothing to add of any value and you're just taking up valuable real estate now. You're THIS CLOSE to getting blocked.
@oldfartrants I will add the links but let me just say that a government that can give you anything can take away everything. Im one who suffered, friends of mine suffered, When I was volunteering at the Denver mission I met quite a few.
And I didnt say that exactly. I said that if forced to choose between I or my children dying with no healthcare or living under a universal healthcare dictatorship Id go for the fomer.
Otherwise in 10 20 years from now they'd be arrested, tortured, enslaved in gulags or death camps and then die slow horrible deaths. All it takes is for one of them to be a victim, or to become disabled or have some nannystater globalist say one word about them and they will die slowly and horribly for no reasn
@Denverlibertarion Oh so universal healthcare means living under a dictatorship with gulags and death camps now? Produce your evidence - how many gulags and death camps are there in the UK, or Canada, or France, or Holland? How many and where are they exactly?
@oldfartrants Right now Fema is in the process of building camps. I don't know much about Europe but they tend to use hospitals like the USSR did under Khruschev
Look up Mellisa Busecros. She was locked away and drugged because she was a christian and a homeschool student in germany.
@Denverlibertarion Woo hoo! Another isolated case extrapolated by you into a huge conspiracy. Yes, bad things do happen to people sometimes for the wrong reasons. But you never mention or seem to care about the 45K people who die here every year from lack of healthcare. Why not? If you're so sure that universal healthcare means living under a dictatorship with gulags and death camps why can't you name a single country where that happens? Prove your claims or you won't be posting here anymore.
@oldfartrants Yeah I DO blamemy parents. I also blamemy government for making me submit my SSA number so employers can see everything including things they shouldnt'! THESEARENOT ISOLATED CASES!!
Want more countries? Want proof! I WILL GIVEIT TO YOU DONT YOU WORRY! Hee are a few countries that gulag and execute people w/healthcare Poland, China, Vietnam, Bellerus, Moldava, Russia, Ukraine, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Guatamala, Columbia, Venezuela, Indonesia, Germany, Italy, Australia
@oldfartrants (CONT) As for other countries, don't worry! In a decade or two tops they WILL startgulaging and mass killing. Hitler and Himmler didnt start the ball rolling for almost ten years after HE took power. And itTook Germany 60years before the Shoah started. Gradually America is slowly becomig more and more fascist, jobs are drying up and the red dawn shines brightly over america.
45k dead from no health coverage will be peanuts by comparison. At least we wont be overpopulated anymore
@oldfartrants Still want proof? I got tons. From my own experiences and other's own experiences too! Plenty of websites showing it and there are films on youtube as well as google videos. You COULD look this up yourself or maybe even pick up a book about eugenics and Hitler's rise to power at the library! (unless the liberals got rid of it)
@Denverlibertarion One last thing before YOU go: I assume you're a Christian - yes? So why do you even care about healthcare or politics or anything really? According to the words of Jesus in the the Bible, if you need something all you have to do is ask and he'll make it happen. Do you have health insurance? If so, why? Do you go to the doctor? If so, why? Jesus says all you need is the smallest amount of faith, which I assume you have, and nothing will be impossible for you. Why waste money?
@Denverlibertarion you are truly paranoid and mislead by corporate/republican propaganda. I'm in Canada and i would know first hand. That and 99.9% of people who live under socialized medicine agree with me. We have experiences of it and see/hear of it in action instead of med insurance sponsored lies. You are paranoid about malicious intentions in Cali healthcare but there is a reason why it's so bad. It is so underfunded, you can't compare it to even Canada, which is pathetic compared to UK.
@sniper1724 Bullshit on all counts. Tom Condliff a retired constable was denied life saving surgery by NHS and only got it after American patriots began circulating it on the internet as a reason to oppose NHS. The UK allows premie babies to die because they might develop disabilities later on (theerby making them useless tax eaters who cant work on govenment wok projects)
Also Cali healthcare gets too much and you left out union manipulation.
@Denverlibertarion bull? if everything is so horrible why arn't all Canadians and others protesting?
Premie babies are let go in cases where thier life would be hell, i was born premature and i support this.
Union manipulation? u mean people fighting for decent/livable wages and benifits? don't say that it's unaffordable when even the rich say they should pay more taxes.
Tom is a unique case and the first of it's kind, he can still appeal. Perhaps 0.0001% of people will be left behind but
@Denverlibertarion apathy? **I LIVE IN CANADA** and i know it's not the case, most people are very satisfied, as facts show. Canada does not censor people, we would be protesting if we had it like you say we do. People didn't protest the holocaust on fear of death.
Tom's case is a fraction of a percent (backed up by facts) currently over half of America doesn't have any coverage. Hundreds of thousands more people die because they don't have health care (and USA public health care is a joke)
than are in Tom's case. and again *no* unlike republican propaganda these are not common cases. The union thing depends on opinion, do they deserve worse jobs because of other factors?
So.
socialized health care means more coverage for most people (MILLIONS have none)
AND
people who can afford it can still have private coverage (as a backup if your so paranoid)
WHY IS THIS BAD?? private plan holders loose nothing and most gain tremendously. **IT IS AFFORDABLE, EVEN THE RICH WANT TO PAY FOR IT**
more than 50% in america are right now. and the most of the rest get inferior coverage and treatment. that's a fact, not hysteria. Nothing is perfect and there is a mechanism to adress cases like Tom's. Besides in USA you would still have private healthcare that you couldn't go to because you can't afford it for these freak instances. So more coverage for most and private options are available. Why is this bad?
Hitler also used countless lies and fear mongering against the people and the truth.
im not sure if this example really qualifies for comparison. What i really miss is not just a difference in equipment, but also in treatment, required and/or recommended recouporation time, price and succesrate.
it doesn't really help much if you got the "best" equipment, but it gives a lower succesrate, higher price or longer time needed for recouporation.
but even if we have two similar cases, the difference in approach to healthcare is so different, it's like compairing apples and oranges
I totally understand OldFart. Here in Germany, the medical care is horrable and cheap. You know the saying, you get what you pay for. I paid $6000 for a $80,000 surgery, no one hounding me for money afterwards. After careful consideration though, I think I will build my practice in the states. I want to be one of the rich shrinks, not just an above adverage earner. I mean, then I can select who I treat. NOT
@sesshii Considering the USA spends over $25,000 per second on defense there's NO excuse to let American citizens get sick and die because they can't afford to go to the doctor. When it comes down to either spending billions and trillions of dollars bombing innocent people or keeping Americans from going bankrupt and dying because they can't afford health care it should be a no brainer. But that's the problem - there's no brains left here anymore.
I disagree oldfart germanys hospitals are awesome i gues your friend just got into a crappy hospital. I had ab operation a while ago, didnt feel anything, didnt listen to music, woke up looking at a beatifull nurse and had little to no after surgical pain because the doctors did an awesome job. Unfotunatly private hospitals arent funded by the state so they lack money for equipment but you always have the choice to go to a normal regular hospital. Sorry for my crappy english, remeber im german.
@oldfartrants oooh now i get it xD Sorry i kinda have trouble getting that in english ^^ Your german is pretty good, how or where did you learn it ? Side info, i`m working as a volunteer in a home for handycaped people right one (in germany, you can do something called FSJ which means you work a year for free in a social institute) one month cost about 6300 € but the clients do not pay a penny for any of it including wheelchair repairs and therapy :)
Oldman - as much as i like your vids, the sarcasm was confusing on this one - we need to be a little more clear. When the message finally got through it was muddled.
Keep uo the great vids but make sure tne message is clear!
I might be able to go to the ER here in the USA, stay there & don't have to pay at the time, but, when I get out & go home, I'll end up with a bill. So no, I don't like the USA heath care. I have to agree, instead of the greedy corporations taking the peoples taxes & keeping it for them self's, take the taxes, put it to health care like they do in the UK. While their at it, make weed legal, tax that, see the economy get better. This is my opinion, I could be totally wrong. btw, great video.
I have lived in the UK since 1983 and there is no comparison. I would rather live on street here than in a cheap rented property in the US, at least I would have something to eat and health care.
Here in the UK private health companies can still compete along side the NHS, but at least with the NHS in place it ensures that anybody who needs medical care can get it and there is no cost consideration for the person, so even a tramp on the street who has no money at all can get it if he's ill or needs urgent treatment.
I to have watched "sicko" and i thought the way those people were treated on there was terrible, i mean it's human being's were talking about.
@paddedshell your not the boss of my life! (sarcasm)
"Child" well im young, so i cant argue with u there, but if ur willing to have taxes fund public education u ought to be willing to sit around an enlighten me by showing me the error of my thinking. anything less would be hypocritical.
if your child remark was in regards to my cracked article link, well i would have been labeled an elitists if i cited the new yorker, a neo con if i cited fox and a lib if i cited cnn. cracked has no agenda
But we all know the truth now -- there are government-run death-panels of bureaucrats just waiting to condemn you to death for an ingrown toenail. It's true! I saw it on Faux News!
Brilliant Old Fart! Four years ago, after numerous tests, MRIs, meds, and surgery for a melanoma, and eight days in the Finnish hospital, I was presented with a cost of less than $100. I felt like a big winner in the Lottery!
UK person here. The English as a whole hate their NHS if you go around actually talking to the poor, cowed, Daily-Mail-reading fucks. They hate it because they've taken it for granted and they have no fucking clue how bad privatised healthcare can be.
That and politicians of all colours have taken it upon themselves to strangle the NHS of funding and use the resultant faltering performance as justification for further "Efficiency cuts" with a view to fully privatising the NHS.
@LLJKGingerChris The Progressive Conservatives, here in Canada, are trying a similar plan. Canadians are just now starting to figure this out and are starting to complain...as much as Canadian can complain.
Yea, I agree. The only real bitching about health care I've heard originates here in the US. I've heard nothing but good things from people in Canada and Europe about the health care they've received.
Here in Canada our socialized Health System is far from perfect, but it is not bad either, especially when compared to the American System. Indeed, I even decreased substantially my complaints about certain problems with the Canadian system after I watched that movie from Micheal Moore, Sicko. I realized that, compared to our brothers South of the border, I am very fortunate since I have free access to good quality health care. I can't understand how some Americans are against free Healt Care...

The only reason why Socialize Medicine does not work in the US is because the RICH says so.
MindEFX 3 months ago
And another point, purely self centered for you so inclined; do you really want untreated sick people with unknown and maybe pandemic illness' next to you in line at the grocery? Maybe you would suggest that we identify and put in containment camps? Well if we are going to take the time and money to identify, and house in large for profit prisons, we might as well treat in the first place. Then when we meet whatever Maker that Made us, we can hold our heads up.
Wolfiemouse 3 months ago

I'm simply a Ron Paul supporter who doesn't want the federal government involved in every aspect of my life. But, if you really need the fed govt to spoon feed you and tuck you in at night than I feel sorry for you.

They tell us what we can & can not grow in our own yard, they tell us what we can & can't put into our own bodies, they tell us where, when, & how we can defend ourselves. It's getting worse by the day. Heard of the NDAA bill?

So doubling in size is utterly false, you made that up!

So what are your degrees in that make you think you are so smart?

As a dual national, US and UK, I've experienced both the American and British health care systems first hand. The British is by far superior. The NHS is excellent. Also, because of the NHS safety next, private health care insurance in the UK is very affordable. How come the GOPig pundits say there's plenty of money for tax cuts for billionaires and to fight Dubya's wars of choice; but not enough money to provide Americans with decent health care? Long live the NHS!
MrBushlied 4 months ago
@MrBushlied What about dental, are they ever going to include that. They don't in here in Canada and it is very expensive, actually we have the exact same system as in the US when it comes to Dental unfortunately. The UK?

@SimXLive Not everyone in the UK has NHS provided dental care, unlike medical care, it's means tested. I don't know the criteria. Also, it's very hard to find a dentist accepting new NHS patients. On the plus side, dental care is much less expensive in the UK than the US.

Let us say the victim is invalided for life. Who pays?
PhilipPorter 4 months ago
@PhilipPorter The same taxpayers who would pay for universal healthcare.
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@oldfartrants I thought so. So the government SHOULD take a percentage of the wage to go to healthcare just like they take a percentage of the wage for taxes. It`s the only logical solution. It happens the world over and yet Americans see it as an intrusion on liberty. They see SOCIALised anything (Demonic word in capitals) as a Communist plot and yet America is healthwise fairly low on the list of developed countries.
Fuckwit logic!
PhilipPorter 4 months ago
@PhilipPorter The USA spends 3 TIMES as much on healthcare than other developed countries do with inferior results. I don't know why there's even an argument about it. Oh wait - actually I do - the health insurance companies are making billions of dollars off inferior or no service and letting people die because they don't have enough money to see a doctor. This country has gotten so stupid I'm seriously considering getting out of here and moving to a country where everybody isn't an idiot!

DeviousXBastard 1 month ago
@PhilipPorter They don't take a portion of your wage unless you can afford it. When I work I pay in, when I don't work, I don't pay. But I'm covered all the time. The ONLY difference between the Canadian system and the US system is the way the money is handled and by whom. THAT IS IT! Just the money, the gov is just a big fucking insurance co that's all. It's single payer, the simplest easiest to administer medical system there is!
SimXLive 1 month ago
@PhilipPorter no one because the person dies, no one needs to pay if you don't save the person :)
Temuldjin 4 months ago

TheVinoThunderbird 4 months ago
Lol, You can't possibly compare the US with the UK or any European country, the US has 300 million+ people!! It's easy to have anything socialized when the population is low. Same reason education is better overseas, it's a whole lot easier educating a smaller group of people.
Socialized medicine sounds good but it won't work here. Plus, I don't want the Fed government fucking up more shit than they already have.
orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307 So you're saying that universal healthcare itself is ok then? It's the population count that makes it bad? Not the "death panels" and "gulags" and "mass exterminations" like the Tea Party says? Just too many people? And you're saying that laying off teachers like the Republicans are trying to do is a bad idea because it increases the class sizes? That's our problem? So you agree that more teachers with smaller classes is the way to go then? Glad you cleared that up.
oldfartrants 4 months ago 6
@oldfartrants I'm just not for all this big government shit, if the states want to implement universal health care then they can. I can see universal healthcare working overseas because they're not dealing with a 300 million+ population and so many illegal immigrants. But why is it my responsibility to pay for someone else's healthcare?? Why would you want more money taken out of your check to pay healthcare for smokers, fat asses, drug addicts, or other people who don't take care of themselves?
orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307 You're already paying for it because your tax dollars pay fwhen people who have no insurance and go to the emergency room when they're sickand they can't pay the bill. You pay for it in a very inefficient and very expensive way. Think about that.
oldfartrants 4 months ago 4
@oldfartrants Yeah, but we could fix that somehow without implementing a giant government takeover of HC. The Fed government should NEVER force anyone to buy private or gov't-ran insurance. Obamacare will force me to buy private insurance, that's so fucking wrong it makes my head want to explode! We need healthcare reform but not this kind of reform.
Call me paranoid but I don't want the government involved in every aspect of my life and it seems like we're heading down that road fast.
orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307 Well, somebody is going to have to pay for the bull-dozers when they come and shovel those 'non-compliants' into the trenches and clear the streets. Hopefully the mass graves will not contain any of your loved ones. Human beings, created equally, rise and fall, some get up again and keeping going until they reach the point we all reach at the end. We are the human family, if we are able to lend a hand to our brother or sister, we should.
Wolfiemouse 3 months ago
@Wolfiemouse We are the human family, which is exactly why we don't need the federal fucking government mandating we have to purchase ANYTHING. Humans can care for each other without a MASSIVE government takeover of healthcare. Nothing good comes out of huge gov't, it just gives the people less freedom & liberty.
orangeblood307 3 months ago
@orangeblood307 You're just repeating what you heard on talk radio or Fox. Our Medicare system is excellent and beats the insurance companies all to hell. If humans were caring for each other, there would be no issue. But, people are NOT caring for others. So I have to ask, are you someone who supports the notion that if someone does not have insurance, gets sick or injured, they should just die? Or do you prefer to be FORCED to pay for them with increased costs in both insurance & medical?
pattreid 3 months ago
@orangeblood307 Are you saying the USA is not smart or good enough to organise healthcare?
We have socialized military, to "help" our citizens. I would like to think we can think more of our ourselves and capabilities.
Futureplanet 4 months ago
@Futureplanet To put it simply, we're too broke to afford it without major cuts and major tax increases. I would rather keep our current HC system than have more money taken out of my check to pay for someone else's healthcare, it's not my responsibility. Plus, it's just 1 step towards socialism.
Obamacare is far worse than socialized healthcare though, it's pure fascism. Forcing people to buy HC insurance from corporations is just wrong and unconstitutional.
orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307
When you pay your premium on your private health insurance that money does in fact go towards the payout on someone else's claim. You're already paying for their healthcare...as they are for yours. The difference between a private health insurance system and a government run one is that the former also uses your money to pay itself in the form of profits and dividends.
Venator70 4 months ago
@Venator70 Wouldn't that be better than giving more money to the Fed gov't so they can grow the size of gov't even more and waste more money on useless programs? While the private sector grows the economy, the government just gets in the way of growth. The last thing we need is the Fed taking over more of the private sector.
I'm not the type of person that wants government involved in every aspect of my life.... It never leads to anything good.
orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307
Venator70 4 months ago
@orangeblood307 I realise that last point is counter-intuitive so I'll expand on it.
Giving social health care to everyone means that the people who really need it see a doctor early and often. Minor issues are picked up and treated before they become major ones. People are therefore healthier and more productive.
If you want a smaller government and better economic growth then the best thing to do is to nationalise healthcare. [Source: WHO World Health Report 2000]
Venator70 4 months ago
@Venator70 I just don't see why you would want complete government takeover of something that isn't broke. Reform is needed but not that drastically.
Obamacare is far worse than nationalized healthcare, it's pure fascism. Forcing people to buy health insurance from insurance companies is wrong on all levels.
All my support goes to Ron Paul, he is far more experienced than the community organizer: Obama on healthcare. 1 man can't change it all but he's the only one with any common sense.
orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307
Venator70 4 months ago
@orangeblood307
Venator70 4 months ago
@orangeblood307 You only think the system isn't broke because you're not paying attention. US health care is 36th among developed countries. Our costs for care as a % of GDP is more than double anywhere else in the world. Our medical costs are the fastest rising segment of the economy. Identical meds and procedures in European countries cost a fraction of what we pay. Ex: advertising meds & drs is not allowed, eliminating marketing costs, also no "profit" required for owners and shareholders.
pattreid 3 months ago
@orangeblood307 Wrong, every economic study said exactly the opposite. You have been watching FOX news, and it shows. DOH!!!!!
SimXLive 1 month ago
@orangeblood307 Are you trying to tell us that the greatest country in the world cannot manage its population? You have acknowledged that education and health care are better "over there" because their numbers are less. That sounds a bit like, well, stupid. We would have more people paying in, more resources, more people who can work in those service jobs, etc, etc. I've heard that argument before, and it doesn't make any more sense to me now than it did then. I wonder how China & India manage.
pattreid 3 months ago
@pattreid Your not the greatest country in the world or we would not be having this discussion. Get over your USA #1 bullshit cause IT ISN'T, not by a long shot. When you realize how not number one you are only then can you start to rebuild it because I won't say that you can't be #1, just that you are not now. So get over yourself and start fixing things!
SimXLive 1 month ago
@orangeblood307 You sure as hell can compare them, why not? With almost 400M people it should be that much easier for the US to adopt a single payer system. If you want to convince yourself it won't work before you've even tried well to me you sound like a quitter, are you a quitter? Are you still afraid of the dark too?
SimXLive 1 month ago
@Denverlibertarion Sure thing, socialized healthcare is so terrible. That would be why France is No.1 in the WHO rankings and the USA is at No.37 just underneath Costa Rica. I await your riposte, which will undoubtedly be chock full of hard facts and not sound at all like some kind of completely anecdotal paranoid fantasy.

orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307 Really? I guess different perspective. I'll give you my example: My father has heart disease so he went for emergency operation there. Everything went well, the only cost he had to pay was $20 for room he was recovering in. He has private insurance.
Stingerbillion 4 months ago
@Stingerbillion So, what does private insurance have to do with socialized government-run healthcare? I don't know much about Canadas HC, I'm only going off of what I've heard and I've heard both good and very bad things about your healthcare up there. It probably depends on the region you're in. I wouldn't know though, I rarely go to Canada.
orangeblood307 4 months ago
@orangeblood307 Well that's true, it makes no difference since you will be treated with serious emergency.

I too have experienced National health care in the UK first hand as well as seeing nurses and doctors administer the best and most comfortable final days both my parents could have wished for.
The nurses in British hospitals are angels on earth caring for people as if they were their own.
Socialised health care combined with a social conscience!
PhilipPorter 4 months ago 2
LOL, another good one.. Yes you have the best healthcare system in "YOUR WORLD" because most Americans think they are the world. I'm glad that I don't live in that world,, I will stay in Canada with our second rate healthcare system and yes there are some things that need fixing as in any system but at least I won't have to claim bankruptcy if I need some care. 60% 0f all bankruptcy in the US is caused from your wonderful medical system. Damn we don't have stats like that here !!!

@Denverlibertarion Yeah sure because it's so much better that the government already has the power to execute you, than to potentially heal you for free.

@BoredomCorner It has both.
ho the fuck are you to FORCE people to pay out of pocket for life-or-death treatment?
Look who's talking. I have to work harder and keep less to pay for this.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
Seriously Though oldfart, you misunderestimate the evils of socialized medicine. If implemented correctly, it will lead to rendering people unemployable, unhousable and even eliminate their lives. I have been a victim of healthcare in Califonria's subsidized healthcare system when I was young and I have seen what it did to others. Our government is inventing false diagnoses of diseases that arent even real and are labeling people to keep them from working or producing.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion Try me again when you don't make up words. "Misunderestimate"?
Oh and who the fuck are you to FORCE people to pay out of pocket for life-or-death treatment, and raise the bogeyman of so-called totalitarian gov't if someone says that should be changed?
BoredomCorner 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion Private health insurance companies have already rendered people unemployable, caused them to go bankrupt and lose everything, and eliminate the lives of 45,000 every year because they can't afford to see a doctor. And you think that's a good system? And why do you keep talking about Russia? Didn't Reagan kill communism? Get over it and stop being so paranoid. And stop sticking up for the elites because YOU aren't one of THEM and they'd just as soon let you die as look at you.
oldfartrants 4 months ago 7
@oldfartrants Private health insurance companies have already rendered people unemployable,
More so thanks to BIG government! caused them to go bankrupt and lose everything,
So where's that big government? I mean they can lock someone away for being different for life but the can't prevent this? HA!
because they can't afford to see a doctor.
Thanks to tax hikes and regulating! BTW, we already have universal healthcare in most states including california maine and Mass.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion If someone gets dumped by their insurance company and goes bankrupt because of astronomical medical bills, how exactly is THAT the government's fault? No states have universal healthcare - what the fuck are you talking about? Are you just trying to be an asshole and stir things up here, or are you really that fucking stupid? Or are you getting paid to post by some neocon group? If you are, you're out of here pal! I don't want some Nazi fucktard making money off my channel.
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@oldfartrants how exactly is THAT the government's fault?
Our government has the power to manufacture homelessness and unemployment by using socialist security to blacklist it has the power to confiscate property from poor blacks in Florida and give their land to country club owners, it has the power to confiscate guns, it has the power to turn away katrina refugees at gun point, it has the power to arrest people for being homeless.
So why cant they make the companies pay?
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion Make what companies pay? Pay for what? Who's getting "blacklisted" and for what? Where's your evidence? Have you read the other posts on this page from people who actually have universal healthcare saying how great it is? Do you think they're just making shit up like you do? You're a sick stupid paranoid fuck - the last shit I took has more intelligence than you do. Unless you provide verifiable rferences to the ridiculous claims you make, stop posting here.
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@oldfartrants I have been blacklisted. I was forced to go to a psychiatrist by my parents when we were living in California for awhile. I was being picked on at school. I never had this problem in other places I lived in but here it was different. My parents obsessed about it and blamed me. They forced me to go and the doctor also blamed me for it and now I have a psychiatric record. I was denied employment at a big company because Social security shared it with them. Im not alone.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion HELLO! Blame your parents! This story explains a lot - you ARE mentally ill - thanks for admitting it. No wonder you're so fucked up and paranoid. I think the only thing left for you to do is go live in Yemen where you don't have to worry about "big government" screwing you over.
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@oldfartrants But the diagnosis was false. I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which is actually mental retardartion more than mental illness. the doctor questioned that id be able to work marry be independant. I got away from my parents and lived with My uncle and Aunt in New Hampshire where I went to UNH and met Brian. I got a middle class job a wife and kids. But officially I am considered to be socially retarded and unintelligent. I have an IQ of 113 and scored 93% on a social test.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@oldfartrants The government should NEVER have the power to force the purchase of healthcare on anyone. Do you think socialized HC is just free?? No, it would be taken out of my paycheck to pay for some unhealthy fatfuck's healthcare.
Liberals always talk about freedom but yet they want the government involved in every aspect of their lives, which is the complete opposite of freedom. I don't get you guys on these issues. Less government= more self-liberty and freedom.
orangeblood307 4 months ago
Didn't Reagan kill communism? it moved here.
stop sticking up for the elites b
Sticking up for the elites? Just wait until healthcare is nationalized!
BTW, Id rather my children die from lack of healthcare than 20 years from now they get executed or enslaved because of their views or beliefs or because something bad happened to them and socialism failed to help them.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion Yeah just look at all the posts here from people who actually live in other countries with socialist healthcare! Story after story about children being murdered because they don't have our expensive American system. You are one of the dumbest motherfuckers I've ever encountered. You know nothing and you're blind to the facts, even when they're right in your face! If you'd rather see your children die than have healthcare you shouldn't even be allowed to vote!
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@oldfartrants first of all, these people are still young, able bodied and have yet to go through what Tom Condliff and countless others have. Otherwise they wouldnt be alive to tell you.
Chances are they never been sick and are just harpin leftist propaganda.
I quote the facts
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion How do you know that? Did they state their ages? You actually think people relaying their experiences is "leftist propaganda"? Tom Condliff is one case and yes,a sad one. 45,000 people die in America every year from lack of healthcare and that means nothing to you. I'm growing tired of your insanity and bullshit.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion Oh so universal healthcare means living under a dictatorship with gulags and death camps now? Produce your evidence - how many gulags and death camps are there in the UK, or Canada, or France, or Holland? How many and where are they exactly?
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@oldfartrants Right now Fema is in the process of building camps. I don't know much about Europe but they tend to use hospitals like the USSR did under Khruschev
Look up Mellisa Busecros. She was locked away and drugged because she was a christian and a homeschool student in germany.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion Woo hoo! Another isolated case extrapolated by you into a huge conspiracy. Yes, bad things do happen to people sometimes for the wrong reasons. But you never mention or seem to care about the 45K people who die here every year from lack of healthcare. Why not? If you're so sure that universal healthcare means living under a dictatorship with gulags and death camps why can't you name a single country where that happens? Prove your claims or you won't be posting here anymore.
oldfartrants 4 months ago
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@oldfartrants (CONT) As for other countries, don't worry! In a decade or two tops they WILL startgulaging and mass killing. Hitler and Himmler didnt start the ball rolling for almost ten years after HE took power. And itTook Germany 60years before the Shoah started. Gradually America is slowly becomig more and more fascist, jobs are drying up and the red dawn shines brightly over america.
45k dead from no health coverage will be peanuts by comparison. At least we wont be overpopulated anymore
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@oldfartrants Still want proof? I got tons. From my own experiences and other's own experiences too! Plenty of websites showing it and there are films on youtube as well as google videos. You COULD look this up yourself or maybe even pick up a book about eugenics and Hitler's rise to power at the library! (unless the liberals got rid of it)
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion One last thing before YOU go: I assume you're a Christian - yes? So why do you even care about healthcare or politics or anything really? According to the words of Jesus in the the Bible, if you need something all you have to do is ask and he'll make it happen. Do you have health insurance? If so, why? Do you go to the doctor? If so, why? Jesus says all you need is the smallest amount of faith, which I assume you have, and nothing will be impossible for you. Why waste money?
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion you are truly paranoid and mislead by corporate/republican propaganda. I'm in Canada and i would know first hand. That and 99.9% of people who live under socialized medicine agree with me. We have experiences of it and see/hear of it in action instead of med insurance sponsored lies. You are paranoid about malicious intentions in Cali healthcare but there is a reason why it's so bad. It is so underfunded, you can't compare it to even Canada, which is pathetic compared to UK.
sniper1724 4 months ago
@sniper1724 Bullshit on all counts. Tom Condliff a retired constable was denied life saving surgery by NHS and only got it after American patriots began circulating it on the internet as a reason to oppose NHS. The UK allows premie babies to die because they might develop disabilities later on (theerby making them useless tax eaters who cant work on govenment wok projects)
Also Cali healthcare gets too much and you left out union manipulation.
Hitler also called his opponents paranoid.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion bull? if everything is so horrible why arn't all Canadians and others protesting?
Premie babies are let go in cases where thier life would be hell, i was born premature and i support this.
Union manipulation? u mean people fighting for decent/livable wages and benifits? don't say that it's unaffordable when even the rich say they should pay more taxes.
Tom is a unique case and the first of it's kind, he can still appeal. Perhaps 0.0001% of people will be left behind but
sniper1724 4 months ago
@sniper1724 The same reason they didnt protest during the holocaust... apathy.
So who decides who lives or dies
Im refering to unions getting 6 digits for doing nothing while WE suffer.
Tom his hardly unique.
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
@Denverlibertarion apathy? **I LIVE IN CANADA** and i know it's not the case, most people are very satisfied, as facts show. Canada does not censor people, we would be protesting if we had it like you say we do. People didn't protest the holocaust on fear of death.
Tom's case is a fraction of a percent (backed up by facts) currently over half of America doesn't have any coverage. Hundreds of thousands more people die because they don't have health care (and USA public health care is a joke)
sniper1724 4 months ago
than are in Tom's case. and again *no* unlike republican propaganda these are not common cases.
**IT IS AFFORDABLE, EVEN THE RICH WANT TO PAY FOR IT**
sniper1724 4 months ago
more than 50% in america are right now. and the most of the rest get inferior coverage and treatment. that's a fact, not hysteria. Nothing is perfect and there is a mechanism to adress cases like Tom's. Besides in USA you would still have private healthcare that you couldn't go to because you can't afford it for these freak instances. So more coverage for most and private options are available. Why is this bad?
Hitler also used countless lies and fear mongering against the people and the truth.
sniper1724 4 months ago
Might have been taken at an american hospital!
Denverlibertarion 4 months ago
im not sure if this example really qualifies for comparison. What i really miss is not just a difference in equipment, but also in treatment, required and/or recommended recouporation time, price and succesrate.
it doesn't really help much if you got the "best" equipment, but it gives a lower succesrate, higher price or longer time needed for recouporation.
but even if we have two similar cases, the difference in approach to healthcare is so different, it's like compairing apples and oranges
prognemesiss 4 months ago
I totally understand OldFart. Here in Germany, the medical care is horrable and cheap. You know the saying, you get what you pay for. I paid $6000 for a $80,000 surgery, no one hounding me for money afterwards. After careful consideration though, I think I will build my practice in the states. I want to be one of the rich shrinks, not just an above adverage earner. I mean, then I can select who I treat. NOT

sesshii 4 months ago
@sesshii That's only 10% of what having only private insurance is killing here.
oldfartrants 4 months ago
@oldfartrants yeah, and then theres the difference in population... 4.5 million vs ca. 312 million...
but then again, we pay absolutly NOTHING in comparison so what Americans do...
Still, pretty sad that everything could have been made MUCH better, even without incrising the costs.
Peace 'n love ya old fart! <3
sesshii 4 months ago
@sesshii Considering the USA spends over $25,000 per second on defense there's NO excuse to let American citizens get sick and die because they can't afford to go to the doctor. When it comes down to either spending billions and trillions of dollars bombing innocent people or keeping Americans from going bankrupt and dying because they can't afford health care it should be a no brainer. But that's the problem - there's no brains left here anymore.

Here in the UK private health companies can still compete along side the NHS, but at least with the NHS in place it ensures that anybody who needs medical care can get it and there is no cost consideration for the person, so even a tramp on the street who has no money at all can get it if he's ill or needs urgent treatment.

Disgraceful.
