Well i owned a Alias 1 and I certainly do text fast and I am just wanting to know if it happens to all alias 2? When I type too fast even if I am clearly pressing onto the buttons it wont register. Try typing "hahahahahahaha" real fast and some wont be registered and come out as "haahhhaaha". Does it happen to yalls?

Just go into the display settings and banner and then you can customize it. =) Also if you are in the banner area you can turn off the ERI indicator so it doesn't say Verizon Wireless.

no, i have it. u can do that but you can go to menu, settings and tools, go to sounds settings, then go to number five which is keypad volume, then set it with the volume control button. There you go.

The text view is how the messages are most other phones prior to this one and a few others of late. Contact view is the "threaded" messaging we've been talking about.

Cool phone.... on paper but... poorly executed.

With the original alias, it's much easier to add punctuation. Many letter-keys also served as punctuation keys. The "U" key was also the "@" sign. The "O" key was also the "!" etc. Simply press and hold the letter key -without shift- and the punctuation characters would appear.

With the new Alias, you have to access the punctuation characters???

I have the Alias and I'm due for a new phone, and I can only get a QWERTY phone, there's no way I can go back to a phone without the keyboard. Anyway, I've been debating about getting this or the LG Versa. I mainly use my phone for texting though. Also, how does the digital voice mail work? I've seen that a lot of newer phones have this, but I've only watched someone use it on the iPhone, so I was curious how it works on the Alias 2.

Visual voicemail is $2.99 a month, I believe. You can see who your messages are from and listen to message(s) without actually calling your voicemail, and do things like save them to a memory card.

You can take pics in landscape mode. You can talk on it with speakerphone; I'm not sure about with speakerphone off - I doubt it because it would put the speaker right up by your ear, not to mention it would be quite awkward anyway.

No, there are 3 clock options (including the one you see, Laser Dots), or you can turn the clock off. With the clock set to digital, analog, or off, you can set wallpaper for the front screen.

That's wrong by the way. It's 160 characters to non-Verizon phones. It's 160x7 to Verizon phones. When sending to Verizon phones, it doesn't split the message. So it's really 1120 to Verizon phones.
