  • what i mean is that 10 watts of mechanical power might turn into 9 watts of electricity which produces maybe 5 watts of combustible hydrogen due to energy losses in conversion .. so if you put those 5 watts of combustible hydrogen back into the engine you've effectively lost 5 watts .. therefore somewhere in the cycle the hydrogen must increase the efficiency to counter the losses .. my questions is where?

  • @markthreemillion it burns cooler not hotter, heat = wasted energy, that's why 100% eficiency is impossible no matter what you do even a verry little part of the energy you spent will be converted to heat, hydrogen makes the gas explode producing less heat an more kinetic energyas all gas aditives do but whithout modifing the ECU all you will see on you car with an HHO generator ia a HP increase of 10-30% dependes on how much hydrogen you use and how efficient your car engine runs...

  • Try shutting off your fuel pump and see what happens. The engine will stop. You cannot run an engine, any engine, of the electrolysis that it's powering.  Even if you acheived 100% efficiency in your electrolysis, it doesnt matter. You still have losses in the alternator and the engine.. even if you got those to 100% (impossible), you would have a net-energy of exactly ZERO.. which means there's no energy to move the vehicle. You have to make the hydrgoen with some other source of energy.

  • A 50cc engine wont make enough HHO to fuel the engine of a garbage truck. In fact, it wont even make enough HH0 to power itself. That's the fallacy of these 'run your car on water' scams. You are not making a fuel that contains more energy than it took to make. That's why it's a scam. The claims are false. I wish people would stop perpetuating this myth and focus on something with real potential, like better batteries and fusion power.

Well, I'm saying- since making and burning hydrogen is such an energy LOSER, you are better off just burning the gasoline in the main engine and not messing with all that b.s., because it doesnt add energy to the car, it takes energy away from the car.

If that is the case, I don't get the confusion about why the truck ran better.

  • @mphandel 100% HHO engines are not self sustaining, the best you can achieve by using HHO without losing any horse power is about 20% on an old engine and 15% on a modern one, anyone that know mechanical engneering, chemistry and has a deep understanding of the OTTO cile will tell you this all other informations are scams

  • i'm pretty sure its a bad idea to use A.C in electrolysis... what you want to do is lower the voltage and up the current. Q=n(e)*F and Q=I.T so if ya do the maths, more current is better.

  • My theory is that if you calculate the 'frequency' at which the hydrogen-oxygen bond itself resides, you should be able to use about 2 volts, and 1.2 amps, at that juncture, for just long enough to disrupt the bond (1-2 us, maybe less even) - you then need to attract the freed hydrogen and oxygen away from each other, and introduce freed electrons into the orbit of the oxygen atom (electricity == free electrons).

    That *IS* what is happening in these things, I've done the math :-)

  • Yippieh!! Billy Bobs arguing about "science". Then I rather would prefer to talk to monkeys. At least they are funny. It is complete rubbish to build in this pack of plastic cells to produce on-board H2, since you need the current from the battery to do so, that takes its energy ultimately from the engine itself. Through electrolysis you never get more energy out of it than you need to put in. You lose energy here instead of improving the consumption.

    You fail to realize that the energy is already present in the H2O bond and that we are not creating energy by any means. In the most ideal of conditions we can expect, at best, 80% efficiency.

    In this case, ripping a water molecule apart is minimal effort compared to the energy obtained through the mixing of oxygen and hydrogen ( with added oxygen [fuel] ) added to the mix.

    Furthermore, the electron imbalance will resolve naturally through the "laws of attraction."

    Simple.

    Cheap.

  • only shows that you are an illiterate in natural sciences. the 80 % eff reflects the fact that you need to put in 100 % electrical energy to break the chemical bond energy between the H2 and O atoms, in order to get 80 % electrical energy out of it.

  • Nope. 80% of the potential energy realized when the hydrogen re-bonds with oxygen under pressure in the combustion chamber is recovered and not used for the bond-breaking process.

    The real trick is bringing the current to the site of the bond, which requires ( in theory ) micro-channels with electrically isolated halves.

    Water is forced through and the molecules pick up free electrons thus breaking the water, you then use polar attraction to keep it separate.

    Lots of energy from the re-bond.

    When you apply pressure and elongate the molecule, you increase the likelihood of interfering with the H2=O bond.

    Ionized hydrogen occurs mechanically, but is almost an undesired effect.

    Of every H20 molecule, half will be split, and half of those will be usable for fuel.

    More or less - it is theory.

    There is a difference between solid science and theoretical science.

    I am speaking of the latter where we can manufacture nan-scale devices small enough that a single hydrogen atom can mechanically forced through a tube at 100 bar or so ( if that is even needed ), and the remaining oxygen atoms can be vented through a larger tunnel.

    It is an atom sorter, using an electrical current to interrupt bonds just enough to make mechanical separation feasible.

  • possibly add a king size radiator to cool the engine so the computer will quit sending more fuel to do the job. new product on the market at the auto store that cools the radiator water by 30% they say. hump i must try it.

  • Search Google for "mechanical o2 simulator" and click on S2000 forums.

  • You need either a spacer that you would screw into your O2 sensor that would keep your fuel mixture lean, or you should get a o2 voltage adder...both ebay items. The second item is basically a knob that you manually lean out or richen your o2 readings to effect your computers fuel/air mix.

  • The ecu automaticaly remaps itself, ie; if you did a constant 60mph and used half throtle, when the hydrogen is used you would obviously use less throtle.cooling the radiator additives etc; are all mythical.Don't waste money on them.

    Anyway, cooling the engine leads to the mixture being enrichened not weakened.

  • Perhaps adjust the throttle position sensor. it will lean out, or make the car run rich depending on which way you turn the sensor. located on the throttle body.

  • the easiest way to test your hho generator is to install it on a car that has traditional carburators or something like a lawn mower. i'm sure it can be adapted to fuel injection systems too and diesel engines or compression engines

  • Meyers technology has actually been replicated by a few people, Dave Lawton created a hydrogen device that uses Pulse Width modulation at like 47KHz, and produces a substantial amount of hydrogen, search it up.

  • It called electrolysis and it's a way to produce Hydrogen to assist in combustion and lower fuel consumption, type in the word electrolysis inthe search field and you can learn all about it.

    You are right about the singing though as it would have been nice to hear the truck run without Hydrogen and then with to hear the difference it makes.

  • Yes to both.  The hydrogen assists in the combustion of the deisel fuel, resulting in a much cleaner burn and dramatically lowering fuel consumption.
