  • I wasn't expecting to like this at all. Don't we all just love surprises?

  • This is song should definitely appeal to Dowsing Anemone With Copper Tongue lovers. This easily my favorite song on the album.

  • Help me...I'm disapearing...

  • I don't know why everyone is making such a big deal of this. You can like both and they're so different you shouldn't even be comparing the two cycles of essentially the same band. The people that are taking the high ground and saying that one part of the band was good and the other isn't are just a bunch of pretentious douche bags that think they know everything there is to know about music. Music should be something to enjoy, not argue over.

  • I agree with NightRanger77; these people who prefer motw over Kayo Dot aren't looking for anything more than simple, "progressive" sounding metal they can easily digest. Kayo Dot is far superior; their music is far more rewarding in the long run.

  • I walked through the woods at night and forced myself to listen to this song really loud. It was scary and awesome.

I love the ending by the way.

  • I have trouble choosing a favourite motW / Kayo Dot album... they are all so unique in their own ways. However, I would rank this as tied with Part the Second as my all time Toby Driver favourites (even though all of the albums are masterpieces to me, even the frowned upon Blue Lambency Downward)

  • @OzzProg i loved part the second but as you said it is not easy to choose between their albums:)

  • @OzzProg choirs of the eye easy, this song here. reaching, cripity crap

  • @MrSocietygangrape choirs is easy for anyone who likes metal ,this is more for the avant garde lovers and this is no cripity crap.

  • This song is excellently composed and performed. I assume that most of those who dislike or misunderstand it must either have bad speakers or headphones, a cultural bias, or simply did not listen through the whole song.

  • @elgaed69

or perhaps they do not connect with what is being expressed or how it is being expressed?

  • @elgaed69 Maybe they just didn't like it?

  • Saw them live today. Quite a performance. You need to see them live to truly feel the sound.

  • Kayo Dot is a good band, but i like maudlin of the Well more :D

  • @DevilVlad93 fuckin pussy

  • @NightRanger77

    rofl, u mad.

  • @DevilVlad93 no, they just suck.

  • @NightRanger77

lol, motW > Kayo Dot any time.

  • @DevilVlad93 bullshit, accessible fairy metal.. their albums are decent at best. kd is more intricate, deeper and more complex. too bad toby is getting too full of himself nowadays. coyote wasnt as good as Dowsing or CotE

  • @NightRanger77 Nice opinions, bro. Though you need to get over your elitism. Since when is accessibility a bad thing?

  • unfortunately you can only qualify it as intriguing, i'm not really into arrhythmic experimental shit :P

  • @TheVladCE we all have different opinions don't we?

  • @icketypickety

    my opinion:

    Kayo Dot-Choirs of the Eye

    Toby Driver-Library Loft

maudlin of the Well-Part the Second

  • @TheVladCE This is arrhythmic??

  • @TheVladCE Who cares in what shit are you into? I can quality the song as so many adjetives, not only intriguing. For me, the song is just beautiful. ♥

  • wow - is there any more from this album like this? Wonderful avant prog music.

  • @LiteracyLabyrinth the whole album is amazing:)
