@sismancocuk I haven't tried using the reflow method yet. When I have a double-sided board I'll choose a side that I need to reflow more and do it first. Then, I'll hand-solder the other side.
Some have said that if you flip it over after the first side is soldered you can re-reflow it on the other side. The surface tension should be enough to hold the parts on, but I haven't tried it.
@sjh7132 I don't pre-heat it, because the slow ramp-up matches the thermal profile a little more closely. The ramp reduces the chances of thermal shock, and lets the paste dry a little more.
how do you solder double sided boards? -without using glue or anything like that-

Do you preheat the oven, then put the board in the hot oven or start everything together from room temperature?
