@OneStepAway786 Bukhoor is the smoke of fragrance created by the burning chips of Agarwood or pieces of mix fragrant ingredients bind by sugar-syrup. When burnt slowly it produces a more concentrated smell. These chips are burnt in Bukhur burners to perfume the surrounding and clothing specifically on occasions of all seasons.
Not only Prophets of Bani Israel, but Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) & his companions used Bukhur regularly and more specifically, on the day of Jumma. Originated from Yemen.
To any muslim who thinks that singinging the praises of the Prophet s.a.w. is shikr they should think about their salat. Does not every salat end with a dua asking allah to send peace and blessing on the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. and his family and companions and the prophet Ibrahim a.s. and his family. Come on people. Those who see shirk every where with their eyes, will verily have shirk in their hearts.
To anyone who thinks loud dhikr in a group is bidah please learn more about your Islam. Bukhari narrated in his book of hadith, that Abu Ma'bad (r), the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas (r), said: "Ibn 'Abbas told me, 'In the lifetime of the Prophet (s), it was the custom to celebrate Allah's praises aloud after the obligatory congregational prayers.'" Ibn 'Abbas (r) continued, "When I heard the Dhikr, I would know that the congregational prayer had ended."
My dear muslims this is dhikr ullah. According to Bukhari, Abu Musa al-Ashcari related that the Prophet (s) said, "The difference between the one who makes dhikr and the one who doesn't make dhikr is like the difference between the living and the dead." It is related in Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah from Ibn Jubayr that the Prophet s.a.w. said : "The best dhikr is La ilaha illallah."
Is that Habib Ali Jifri???? Bida or not bida, I have nothing but full respect for this man, filled with knowledge, his noor shines so bright, you can't help but want to be close to him for life just because of his Imaan and his Knowledge, and his love for Allah swt and the Prophet saw. My life has forever changed after I met him, I never understood what people meant by someone's 'noor', after a week with this man from beginning to end I was left speechless
The act itself seems innocent enough, and I've even been part of these kinds of gatherings. I personally don't like the implications it comes with it tho.
@Madhofd they cant, they do it coz they like to.. there is no hadith showing the prophet did zikr by gathering in a trance and sining... if a guy sings, u need to question his manhood. because the only time sining was allowed or shall i say nasheed was during jihad..
@Desikurri100 what a stupid question! it has never been recorded in any hadith therefore it was never performed which makes it bidr ( innovation) which the prophet muhammad saw warned us against! simple fact. if the prophet saw didnt do it, if his companions neither did it, then there is no need for us to do it.. this shows either we are greather then them or the prophet didnt fullfill his duty because he never told us about zikr in this manner!!! this is clear evidence that this is bidr!
@logs777: Tell me: With who you gettin drunk and how, what movie you watch and do you cheat when playin games?, What mean BS and why you're laughin? Who you remember in your heart and what is azan? Do you know that you will win the poker game? To what music you're dancin how and who you wanna marry?
If you can't answer me this questions I can't answer your yours. Sorry.
AoA. Habib Ali Zain al-Abideen al-Jifri was born into a family of noble lineage extending in an unbroken chain to Imam Hussain, may Allah be pleased with him, grandson of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
I rather listen to him than Wahabi saudi sect that was created 200 years ago in Najd.
There seems to be some disagreements, I'm an active member of community and I been in many events and I'm no where near being a scholar. My question is - which of the following is worst- pick a # and which is best. No details please
1- gatherings with music and dancing (weddings)
2- poker nights
3- ziker gathering and when time for salat comes, someone gives azan
4 - hanging out with the guys talking all BS and laughter
By Him in whose Hand is my soul, either you are upon a religion better guided than the religion of Muhammad or you are opening a door of misguidance. They said,By Allah, O Abâ Abdir-Rahman,we only intended good.
They said, O Abâ Abdir-Rahman, pebbles by which we count the aggrandizing,[3] the acclaiming,[4] and the glorifying.[5]
He said, Then count your misdeeds and I assure you that nothing from your good deeds will be lost. Woe to you O Nation of Muhammad! Your destruction did not take very long! These are the companions of your Prophet, may Allah send salutations and peace upon him, [they are] abundant.; these are his clothes that have not yet decayed; his bowl that has not broken.
So they would praise [Him] one hundred [times]. And he would say, Say glorified is Allah one hundred [times]. So they glorify [Him] one hundred times.
He[2] said, If you live, you will see it. I saw a people sitting in circles in the mosque waiting for the prayer. In every circle was a man, and in their hands were pebbles. He would say, Say: Allah is greater one hundred [times]. So they would aggrandize [Him] one hundred [times]. Then he would say, Say the praise is Allahs one hundred [times]. So they would praise [Him] one hundred [times].
We were sitting at Abdullah bin Masūds door before the morrow so [that] when he came out we would be able to walk with him to the mosque.Abū Mūsâ al-Asharî then came to us and said,Has Abū Abdir-Rahman come out to you yet?We replied, No, so he sat with us until he came out. Then when he came out we all stood to him. Abū Mūsâ said to him,O Abâ Abdir-Rahman,I saw a matter previously in the mosque which I disapproved of. But the praise is Allahs,I only saw good.
