Nice work, Jake. A tune I've been meaning to record for a long time ... always seems to get pushed aside in favor of something else ... so many great tunes, so few albums.
Jake, first Class playing and arranging, many people think this Music comes dropping out of the Sky when you grab your guitar. Guys believe it from another seasoned player, this man sure has put in his hours of Wood-shedding,very Bluesy Jake, great sound, great play, hug Vic.
This is first rate playing. You are a world class musician. I would love to hear you with an acoustic bassist and minimal kit drummer. Bravo!! I love what you do. Thanks for posting.
Tasty & sophisticated, as usual. I'm curious about your guitar: It's understandable that you prefer the sound of a fretboard pickup for your style, but it seems like a lot of trouble to remove the bridge pickup. Was there an additional reason for that?
My neck PU broke, so I just moved the bridge PU over and covered the hole with tape. There are no special acoustical benefits, it's just a poor man's repair...

Hi, Jake.... Great to find this tasty rendition in my inbox. I remember Wes's album of the same name - but this was my favorite from that album.
Needless to say, I nearly wore the grooves off! Your treatment is fantastic.
You know I like to hear you stretch out on these real jazz classics. Always a treat! - Jack in San Diego

I am a jazz guitar major and I hope I can be that good at chord melody and solo accompaniment soon. You do it so well.

Очень здорово!!! Вы используете звукоизвлечение пальцами правой руки ногтями? Как это делают классические гитаристы на нейлоновых струнах.

@lazur1 Lol no one would intentionally remove a bridge pickup only to put obvious tape over the hole. his bridge pickup broke
brush200400 4 months ago
@brush: Indeed, but why not just leave it there, instead of tape? Why bother to remove it, unless to fix it & / or replace it?
