its weird to see 978CT on the dash, I flew that plane quite a bit during my private and commercal training. It does bring back memories of the day it crashed.

I just noticed the registration is N978CT. I trained with Jamie Cope in that very plane in 2005 when I got my Private. May she rest in peace.

I remember this very airplane. I trained at UVSC (it was a C). At an airline now. I sure miss flying this thing!

Anyway the best way to get one down: Power off full flaps (assuming your instructor didn't turn off the master switch) and 45-50 KIAS. That is some fun short approach work right there!

I lost my electrical system in a DA-40 once, so I didn't have flaps coming in. Even in a full slip, that thing didn't want to come down or slow down.
