I remember this very airplane. I trained at UVSC (it was a C). At an airline now. I sure miss flying this thing!
Anyway the best way to get one down: Power off full flaps (assuming your instructor didn't turn off the master switch) and 45-50 KIAS. That is some fun short approach work right there!

my first crosswind was in 16 kts and it was my 2nd flying lesson and it was crazy because the one before that had 00000kts wind

I just noticed the registration is N978CT. I trained with Jamie Cope in that very plane in 2005 when I got my Private. May she rest in peace.

I lost my electrical system in a DA-40 once, so I didn't have flaps coming in. Even in a full slip, that thing didn't want to come down or slow down.
