This is a top song...should have been top 20 at least. Just shows how fickle the music industry had become by the end of the 60s. It did get good radio airplay here in Australia but should have done much more.
Sadly Roy struggled to get a big hit in the 70,s under the MGM & Mercury labels but still put out some beaut records like this one which desplays his powerful voice and with a big backing. Thanks for sharing great work
I saw him sing a song from "Zabriskie Point" on T.V. This may have been the one. At the time, he had not had a hit (at least in the U.S.), and I hoped that the song I saw him sing that time would be a comeback hit for him. Alas, we had to wait many more years for "You Got It" to be his comeback hit.
OUtstanding! This song gave Roy a chance to use his mellow baritone voice as well as his striking range beautifully/ Love it. Thank you..
