  • Quasi irriconoscibile, ma molto affascinante

  • Reminds me of beside you in time, the ambient guitar reminds me of it.

  • Strange listening to how NIN have succeeded in being LESS 'industrial' the U2's original.

Missed opportunity here, I can't help thinking.

  • anyone else think Trent covering U2 sounds a bit like Washed Out?

  • @coinmjc898 That's high praise, to me. Washed Out is brilliant.

  • looking forward to the new dragon tattoo sound track wish trent will get it out soon

  • good job 9 inch metaphor

  • my top 3 picks of this tribute: #1.DM , #2.NIN , #3.The Killers. as for the rest, they need a do over, including U2's own cover.

  • I wished it would never end.

  • Love it... my #2 favorite on the tribute. DM #1.

  • Frightening. But in a good way. I think.

  • Fascinating...interesting mix of styles...Reznor kept it surprisingly close to the U2 version.

  • love this , man i miss the old U2 they were so adventurous now there music seems so complacent. The last 3 albums were so uninspired aim sorry ATYLB was the last good u2 album. now they just sound like a board boring dinosaur band that needs to stop making records.

  • I still have zooropa $ from in the 90's. Id rather roadie for NIN

  • yes mate

  • I'm not the biggest NIN fan but this is really, really good...

  • @thedarkseldarine Obvious troll is obvious.

  • It´s still weird to hear Trent sing ´´I'm ready to say

I'm glad to be alive´´ instead of something like ´´after everything i've done I hate myself for what i've become´´. The man has definitely changed his perception over the years.

  • @RemyCasteel Its a cover you idiot. What else would he sing. STOP COPARING AND ENJOY! LOVE U2 AND NINE INCH NAILS

  • @orezmusic Did I say that it wasn´t a cover you fag? I said that its weird to hear him sing stuff like this, not that he wrote this shit.

  • I can't get enough of this song!

  • interesting cover version. I've added it to my FB group dedicated to covers. It's called "The Guilty Pleasure of the Cover Version" feel free to join.

  • Probably a perfect cover. Instantly recognizable as U2 but unique to NIN's sound. Awesome.

  • ahh car tune bay bay eat beh see

  • @thedarkseldarine not sure if trolling or just stupid

  • @thedarkseldarine Cash covered hurt Nin wrote hurt!

  • Being a hardcore U2 fan I love the original but 9 inch nails does a great interpretation of the song.

  • I get goosebumps listening to Trent Reznor and U2. Everything Trent touches - musically, turns to gold.

  • What's year is it?

  • @michalusOG its 2011,(Ǎhk-to͝ong Bay-bi) Covered, is a tribute album by various artists featuring cover versions of the 12 songs from U2's 1991 record Achtung Baby.....

  • @michalusOG It's happening RIGHT NOW, baby! TR postet it on nin.com on 10.25.11. ;)

  • Very Nice. Surprisingly mellow.

Trent's voice is so natural in an ambient environment.

    Bravo.

  • Check out the cool lyric video i made for this

  • yeah this is an amazing interpretation.I like the origional but this is fuckin flawless.better than the real thing?

  • This is incredible! I love the original for its rough, rugged urban sound, but these guys managed to retain the urban sound, but in a totally different kind of way... A more sleek, ambient, kind of sound. True genius. Gives me chills.

  • @NeedleTVLTD those guys are actually one giant musical-brainstorm called Trent Reznor.

  • NEED ATTITUDE OF THE FLY TO SING THIS SONG!!!!

  • LISTEN THIS VERSION:

    watch?v=0fYxMW6WaGc

  • @thedarkseldarine um........ really???? you really think and believe that hurt was originally written and performed by johnny cash??????????? REALLY???? well, for your info you half wit, JOHNNY CASH COVERED A NINE INCH NAILS SONG. jesus christ. your not even worthy of posting your uneducated opinion of a nine inch nails cover. how do you even know this cover exists? you should keep your opinions to yourself, because they are clearly unresearched and just completely wrong. jesus fuckin christ

  • @smatter022188 I agree that he should have known it was the other way around, but no need to blaspheme.

  • @thedarkseldarine LMAO Cash cover. This has made my day :D

  • @thedarkseldarine Cash covered Hurt, it was writen by Trent Reznor aka Nine Inch Nails!

  • @sturwin thx man, good to see everyones not an idiot.

  • The only Cash related here is that Cash sand in The Wanderer from Zooropa

  • I never listened to u2

  • this is totally amazing. NEW ALBUM

  • To slow for the original....

  • I like this cover, liked it the first time I heard it. Its U2 but NIN style. Sounds good.

  • Good version. But not even close to U2's original. It lacks all "power".

  • Only Reznor could make me like a U2 song.

  • @pastbeliefx Cash's One was pretty sweet :)

  • @pastbeliefx the original version is 100000000000000000000000000000 times better than this cover......... c'mon be objective! :)

  • @FrankieNapster u don't even know what number is that, stop being an asshole and if u don't like this get the fuck out of here, this is a COVER junior not a fucking contest

  • @FrankieNapster BTW if u want to hear the original then type "u2 zoo station album version"

  • @violationoftheart i like NiN and i like this version too :) but the original is better :) that's all!

  • new nin now thanks.

  • i'm just glad i didn't get rickroll'd again.

  • It's a lot more soothing than anything he's done for a while. Don't like it as much as his cover of "Dead Souls" but it's still a great take on one of U2's best songs :D

  • So far... the best cover on this cover album. I heard the rest and not too sure, but this...

  • Nice one Trent, great interpretation of the song, by another great artist..

  • Awesome!!!!!!!

  • Wow, disappointing. I can't believe I actually prefer the original U2 version over this, I'm a huge NIN fan. And I'm not a U2 fan, in fact I kinda hate them sometimes, but this is the only U2 album I own, and Zoo Station is one in the handful of songs by U2 I really enjoy.

The last minute is the best part of this cover.

  • This was fucking entertaining. It put me in a good place. It also left me with that feeling a used to love getting after listening to new NIN material. I missed that.

  • eh, need a new NIN album now.

  • @DDevilized I dont think that it will happen for a very long time. I am pained I missed the chance to see him twice, saying next time...I dont say no to concerts anymore.

  • @DDevilized they're in the studio.

  • @IronGuitarist ..recording the HTDA record and TGWTDT OST. they're also doing the Fragile DE. that's cool, but still. new. nin.

  • @DDevilized Haven't you heard? Trent hung it up. He said he isn't done making music necessarily, btu the entity Nine Inch Nails is done. I'd pass you a kleenex, but I still need what's left in the box.

  • @WeMustBeStopped you dumb fuck. reznors in the studio right fuckin now with his god damn wife

  • @smatter022188 Easy, smatter, just repeating what I heard. I'm only a dumb fuck when I fall in love.

  • @WeMustBeStopped

he said he's done touring, not done making music under the Nine Inch Nails moniker. Nine Inch Nails ain't done sucka, you can keep those kleenex.

  • @theruiner89 he actually may be touring with htda, not set in stone yet

  • @WeMustBeStopped NIN IS NOT DONE OMGGGG PEOPLE

  • You can say what you want about whether drugged up Trent was better or clean Trent is better. All I'm going to say is that this cover is a reason why I am a NIN fan. He makes a great rock balad sound chilling and almost relaxing and turns it on it's head completely. Fair play Trent!

  • Hmm, it's good, but not the best. I would associate it more with recent Trent's OST works, e.g. TSN OST. I think it's quite different from NIN's works. I think it's also somewhat simmilar to SONOIO's Silence song (I mean the background of the verse). Well, it's positive, fresh, less NINish, but we all know - Trent isn't younger - and thus his vox along with his music changes...can't wait for the new HTDA...I wonder if it will also be more ambient/electro...??

  • @V0DEVIL01 whats htda?

  • @A0Candle0In0The0Dark How To Destroy Angels, a new Reznor's band, They have one single "a Drowning" and one EP "How To Destroy Angels" - his wife is on vocals. I think it's a good band with a very fresh sound and very good electronics. The Space in Between, BBB (Big Black Boobs :p) and a Drowning are really good :) Their song The Believers is also on the Limitless OST from the movie Limitless.

  • @V0DEVIL01 *Big Black BOOTS. Perv.

  • @mariodark000 oh really ? :D haha seriously, she has a lame pronounciation and most of the ppl joke it's big black boobs not boots :) But U have to have a little sense of humour :]

  • I dunno. For me, NIN has been pretty underwhelming in the past half decade or so (nothing particularly great or awful) and this isn't changing anything. It's not a bad cover, I guess - I just long for the days when I heard new music from Trent and would get goosebumps just before shitting myself with amazement.

Sometimes I wonder if I was more infatuated with the angst and theatrics than the music itself. Or maybe I'm just older now? Either way, this is decent but I doubt I'll listen again.

  • I really like it, it has a "Bowie sound" that I enjoy very much !

  • After everyone's complaining, I'm actually rather surprised, I don't mind it at all, it's rather soothing. And I'm a man who loves his drugged-up Reznor as much as any other pre-With Teeth NIN fan.

  • It's growing on me. Honestly I was expecting something that holds back on percussion and starts with dry synthetics and ends with me being throttled on the floor through my ears. But yet again, Reznor takes me out of the alpha, and makes me chase the plot of this cover. Brilliant.

  • Ok, is it just me, but I was excited about this tribute album. But as a fan of Depeche Mode and NIN, this is just plain. Trent and Martin Gore are like wizards in the studio. What happen????????

  • It was far too obvious for Trent to produce a rock version of this cover, especially considering the fact that Flood himself produced the original track on Achtung Baby. I'm very happy with the way this was handled; Trent gives us a humble rendition, marking both his maturity and masterful restraint. He doesn't need to be the center of attention... it IS a U2 cover album, after all. It's a beautiful bed of sound, and pure electronic euphoria. Tastefully done!

  • @sleepinertiac What a lovely way of looking at it.

  • Chill...perfect for driving on an open road

  • Hands and knees.......is a NIN expression.

  • NIN is a pretty good choice for this cover.

  • The only way I can hear a song from U2, with the touch of trent everything is better!!!

  • Yeah... the U2 one is better.

  • Nice basic sound pallete that I dug for the first 3 minutes, but it never takes off after that. Too bad (one suspects that there's a 'rocks out' version that might see the light of day sometime).

  • really dig this new work ,and will allways be by your side even if I never get to meet you in person.R-Giest

  • @tobeyanteus thank you.

  • Thank you so much Trent!!!!
