I don't fully agree with his criticism of idealism. I don't know who he is, but it sounds like he doesn't understand what it means to say "matter is an illusion." Does he realize the wall he walked into is mostly empty space? Just the reflection of certain wavelengths of light dependent on the valence electrons of all the atoms in the wall make it appear solid via vision, and the repulsion of the electrons between the wall and him make it appear solid via the sense of touch.
