WoW has seriously seen better days. Cata was OK, if not more of the same stuff we've been paying for since 2004. But Blizzard has seriously jumped the panda with this new expansion. Definitely won't be buying the 4th pack. I refuse to pay for more of the game when they're clearly starting to run out of ideas.
aion takes too long to level everything costs 99999999999999999 billion gold and farming pvp gear makes you wanna cut your wrists. could be a great game but its bad all around.
Yeah, TBC and WotLK killed WoW with a well aimed "Head Shot" but even with the nerfs everywhere, lack of BrainScore requirements (like in raids, bgs and leveling) free epics for everyone!!, etc, WoW is still the best MMORPG you can find to shoot your free time in the face... Cataclysm... you better give us some new stuff to explore for few months or we'll be sad pandas....

One shoting shamans and one shotng rogues of PRE TBC were NOT BALANCED. But I love vanilla wow more than tbc and wotlk togehter. I just hope cataclysm will change something to good. Old world feel and all that.
Well ive played WoW for nearly 4 Years now. And i gotta say: At pre tbc Everything was balanced they were thinking of the players not on money (and the game was just so fun) At tbc They ruined abit but it was k and it was still a great game + in pre and tbc the gear didnt do everything. You needed alot of skills. At Wotlk nearly everything got ruined. Pvp = Fuckd up etc everything is un-balanced And they do not care about the players Only MONEY!

The game was still fresh and new in pre-tbc. The balance was about as good as it's now, if not worse, the major difference is that people are more aware, mainly due to arenas being introduced. Also if you'd try playing pre-tbc-wow now, you'd probably rather play wow in it's current state, it's just memories that make it feel so brilliant.
As for them thinking about money, I'm sure they do, wouldn't you ?

I find it hard that 13 million people play wow. I believe that 13 million bought the box but I don't think 13 mill pay $15 a month. I think maybe 4-5 million pay every month.
Compare this BETA WoW to Beta WAR. WoW had it own problems when it was on beta, so does WAR. Its hard to compare WAR to WoW, when WoW has been up so much more than WAR. When WAR has been up for like 2 years then lets compare.
If your saying halo had really slow pvp, it would be better. rofl. "Good" pvp is fast tence, requires you to think quicker, act faster and coordinate better. I mean if you like pvp as in Pokemon, then ya your def right. So go play your pokemon pvp warhammer :)
I'm just going to disagree with both statements, and bring in an entirely new kind of argument. WAR and WoW have two different forms of pvp. WoW pvp is more geared towards the 1v1-oriented crowd, and small group tactics, making fast-paced combat. WAR on the other hand is based more on an epic-scale pvp system where you could stumble into an AV-like-raid almost immediately at level 10, only in this case you really are killing the other players, making WAR a more grand-scale kind of pvp.

You don't have 10 million subscribers. (I used to play WoW, still like the game, and rather un-biased on this issue, I like WoW and WAR rather equally in play-style.) WoW has had a total of 10-million subscribers over time since it's release. This is including those who have quit.
A LOT of people have quit, and no, not a LOT of people joined...The 10-13million subscribers includes a lot of double ( even triple ) acount for a single person... and yes, IT IS common

What ruined WoW for me in BC was the fact that not only did it suddenly make all my hard-earned gear useless, it also gave away epics way to easily. in 2005/6 epics were something you had to work for. Want T2? You'll have to gather 40 loot-hungry men to go Ony, MC and BWL over and over again.
Karazhan? Oh cmon, give me a fucking break. Gruul? SSC? TK? Only part interesting was SWP and BT.
its the same... think of karazhan as ubrs was... gruul as ony once was... ssc, tk as mc and bwl once was only in 25 man format... swp being the naxx equivalent in bc and bt being the aq 40 equivalent... if u think epics are easily acquired? think of it this way... some random casual person does kara once a week and gets some badge gear and kara gear... someone who works hard farming repair bills and flask mats etc what have you... someone still worked harder to get in that guild and clear swp...

Yes, I do think epics were easily acquired in BC. Karazhan was pugged from day one in quest greens on my server, same as UBRS. Although UBRS wasn't considered a "raid" and had no CD, it was about the same level of difficulty. A lot of the bosses actually required some sort of tactic, not just "run away from the fire!!!!!!!!".
im making equivalencies in vanilla wow and tbc... most blatantly at the end, people working hard farming mats for pots, elixers, what have you will probably have better gear than people who are casual... before wotlk came out kara purps were looked down upon on my server and called "welfare epics"... if you cant decrypt this w/e lol... btw my server is Kel'Thuzad home of world #4 guild whose main tank atm to my understanding is fully wotlk epicced...
Yes, but those people didn't have to work nearly as hard as they did pre-TBC. Only ATTUNING to naxx could be a financial and time-consuming task for some. You had to open the gates of AQ too...
Your latest statement just adds to what I'm saying. Nobody should be fully epicced barely a week after launch. I'm on Al'Akir, been there forever, and I just ran naxx at 78. Half the group wasn't 80 either. See what I'm saying?
UBRS - which was only slightly easier than Karazhan (and shorter, of course) was instead churning out blues. Yes, blues. It also served as a "raid" you had to visit to get attuned to higher raids.
When your guild had recruited 40+ skilled people willing to spend 4+ hours of their night raiding, THEN you could start doing the "real" raids. Depending on your level of old-schoolness the number of raids was naturally different, starting out with just Ony and MC.
Now compare that to todays (or yesterdays, I should say) raids. You "raid" karazhan, and you easily get tons of epics to your guild. Not long till you can move on to gruul. Compared Gruul to onyxia (excluding the first "boss" in gruul). There's not much argument about which fight is more complicated, is there? Need I say whelps? DOTS, more dots!... Not to mention, there was 39 other loot hungry raiders that also wanted your loot.
WotLK builds on this my making naxx 10 an introductory raid! Thats madness. You'll be able to PuG naxx EASIER than Karazhan, and get tons of epics! Blizz has even said that there are "similarities" between Naxx10 and UBRS in terms of difficulty. Which means, naxx 10 is piss easy. It's just ridiculous... Too bad I'm addicted to this damn game.
armory kaywarrior 4/5 on 25 man naxx gear... correct me if im wrong... its not ridiculous if you think about it, progression doesnt start at hard... think of it this way... if the new naxx was as hard as sunwell pre nerf than maybe people wouldnt want to play it as much or w/e...
did you just start playing again? naxx is an introductory raid because its a prelude to the lich king arthas... being kel'thuzad being a lich/wizard w.e and naxx moving from eastern kingdoms to northrend and not being arthas' raid its fitting... and its not as casual as you think... casual players are all mostly at level 74-76ish while hcore raiders are already cleared the first 2 raids and just waiting on the next one to come out...
OS,EoT,Naxx,VoA...thats four, when the next content patch comes out Ulduar better be BEASTLY or they may lose some players naxx was cleared within what a few weeks or less and OS,EoT and Vault within the same week
I know for damn sure casual guilds are clearing naxx with ease on heroic I don't really recall any casual guilds during BC clearing Kara so quickly
The guild I'm in is a casual raid guild. Raid Tuesdays and Fridays and on weekdays and on weekends. Not a very strict guild either, you can spec how you want, play how you want, you don't even need to raid if you don't want to BUT are welcome to sign up if you choose to. Close to the end of BC we were stepping into BT and cleared the first few bosses.

Well, it wont greatly improve graphics... mainly stuff like real time shadows, which should have been in there at bc at the least. But, WAR will kill wow as much as AoC killed it. Some people are just laughable.

You don't have 10 million subscribers. (I used to play WoW, still like the game, and rather un-biased on this issue, I like WoW and WAR rather equally in play-style.) WoW has had a total of 10-million subscribers over time since it's release. This is including those who have quit.

I'm not as old school as most people here I guess, I started playing january 05, but still:
What ruined WoW for me in BC was the fact that not only did it suddenly make all my hard-earned gear useless, it also gave away epics way to easily. in 2005/6 epics were something you had to work for. Want T2? You'll have to gather 40 loot-hungry men to go Ony, MC and BWL over and over again.
Karazhan? Oh cmon, give me a fucking break. Gruul? SSC? TK? Only part interesting was SWP and BT.

its the same... think of karazhan as ubrs was... gruul as ony once was... ssc, tk as mc and bwl once was only in 25 man format... swp being the naxx equivalent in bc and bt being the aq 40 equivalent... if u think epics are easily acquired? think of it this way... some random casual person does kara once a week and gets some badge gear and kara gear... someone who works hard farming repair bills and flask mats etc what have you... someone still worked harder to get in that guild and clear swp...

Yes, I do think epics were easily acquired in BC. Karazhan was pugged from day one in quest greens on my server, same as UBRS. Although UBRS wasn't considered a "raid" and had no CD, it was about the same level of difficulty. A lot of the bosses actually required some sort of tactic, not just "run away from the fire!!!!!!!!".

im making equivalencies in vanilla wow and tbc... most blatantly at the end, people working hard farming mats for pots, elixers, what have you will probably have better gear than people who are casual... before wotlk came out kara purps were looked down upon on my server and called "welfare epics"... if you cant decrypt this w/e lol... btw my server is Kel'Thuzad home of world #4 guild whose main tank atm to my understanding is fully wotlk epicced...

Yes, but those people didn't have to work nearly as hard as they did pre-TBC. Only ATTUNING to naxx could be a financial and time-consuming task for some. You had to open the gates of AQ too...
Your latest statement just adds to what I'm saying. Nobody should be fully epicced barely a week after launch. I'm on Al'Akir, been there forever, and I just ran naxx at 78. Half the group wasn't 80 either. See what I'm saying?

UBRS - which was only slightly easier than Karazhan (and shorter, of course) was instead churning out blues. Yes, blues. It also served as a "raid" you had to visit to get attuned to higher raids.
When your guild had recruited 40+ skilled people willing to spend 4+ hours of their night raiding, THEN you could start doing the "real" raids. Depending on your level of old-schoolness the number of raids was naturally different, starting out with just Ony and MC.

Now compare that to todays (or yesterdays, I should say) raids. You "raid" karazhan, and you easily get tons of epics to your guild. Not long till you can move on to gruul. Compared Gruul to onyxia (excluding the first "boss" in gruul). There's not much argument about which fight is more complicated, is there? Need I say whelps? DOTS, more dots!... Not to mention, there was 39 other loot hungry raiders that also wanted your loot.

WotLK builds on this my making naxx 10 an introductory raid! Thats madness. You'll be able to PuG naxx EASIER than Karazhan, and get tons of epics! Blizz has even said that there are "similarities" between Naxx10 and UBRS in terms of difficulty. Which means, naxx 10 is piss easy. It's just ridiculous... Too bad I'm addicted to this damn game.

armory kaywarrior 4/5 on 25 man naxx gear... correct me if im wrong... its not ridiculous if you think about it, progression doesnt start at hard... think of it this way... if the new naxx was as hard as sunwell pre nerf than maybe people wouldnt want to play it as much or w/e...

1; They shouldn't use naxx as an introductory raid, reducing it to almost nothing.
2. Blizzard is "Casualizing" everything, something which alot of people (me included) aren't very happy about.
We'll just have to see what ulduar brings.

did you just start playing again? naxx is an introductory raid because its a prelude to the lich king arthas... being kel'thuzad being a lich/wizard w.e and naxx moving from eastern kingdoms to northrend and not being arthas' raid its fitting... and its not as casual as you think... casual players are all mostly at level 74-76ish while hcore raiders are already cleared the first 2 raids and just waiting on the next one to come out...

I know for damn sure casual guilds are clearing naxx with ease on heroic I don't really recall any casual guilds during BC clearing Kara so quickly

The guild I'm in is a casual raid guild. Raid Tuesdays and Fridays and on weekdays and on weekends. Not a very strict guild either, you can spec how you want, play how you want, you don't even need to raid if you don't want to BUT are welcome to sign up if you choose to. Close to the end of BC we were stepping into BT and cleared the first few bosses.

Please, take this into consideration.
Take a look at WoW right now. 3 years running and its very nice. But look where it started.
Think about Warhammer in the same way, it will greatly improve over time. OF COURSE its going to start out a bit sketchy, EVERY MMO starts that way.
Sit back, relax, and wait for WotLK and further patches for WAR

WoW has a bigger lore...starting from Warcraft 1...the Strategy Game...then i don't like the interface from War..
+that the new expansion pack from wow will be released in November will GREATHLY imporve the Graphics...Even so...I bet you didn't even learned to play WoW nor seen the new expansion from BETA, Care care care...DON'T care about what you think I just hope I cleared a bit from your head :)

Well, it wont greatly improve graphics... mainly stuff like real time shadows, which should have been in there at bc at the least. But, WAR will kill wow as much as AoC killed it. Some people are just laughable.
