i drove one of these beauties in the early '80's in sydney,AUS,awesome car,had a marshall type of supercharger fitted with uprated brakes,apparently the standard brakes kept on cooking.

@beetle1835 Must have been a 190SL, you will never fit a supercharger under the bonnet of a 300SL. there is no room . The engine lays on it's side and chassis is a tube space frame structure . But 190SL's were rertofitted with a supercharger and details are on the 190Sl.org site showing a car with one .
