Great camera work, how do you get such still in flight video? I am just a newbie, but hear lots of good things about the flying circus. Hopefully I can make it out next year if it happens again.
Lot's and lots of practice! I wouldn't recommend anyone start helmet camera flying until they are an advanced pilot. It is way too easy to become distracted and you've got to have keen situational awareness and top notch flying skills. Getting still shots is a challenge, smooth conditions are best. Flying with experienced pilots in neat locations also makes it interesting. But getting somewhat still shots is hard, practice, practice, practice.
Adam I am on Panama City Beach, Florida meeting with the resorts planning Beach Blast 2009 and found your video FANTASTIC! What a great time we had there look forward to next year. I bought The same camcorder you have after seeing the quality at the circus but I am uploading in the wrong format ugggh. John Black
John, I'm bummed I can't make it to your Beach Blast this year. Thanks for attending the Circus and keep working with the camera, it takes lots of time and expierence with it to get the cool shots for what we do. Helmet cam is an art and it takes a bit of ingenuity, practice, the right conditions and pilots to pull something off that is kind of cool to watch.
The Nirvana guys are lots of fun to hang with and they have a great team. Their products are pretty cool too. Yes, Pavel was hauling some ass most every second of flyable weather. He often was the only one in the air.
You capture a nice bit of flavor of the 2009 Flying Circus. Cool video! Yes, it was amazing to see the varied talent at the event, from the kiting, to the great seminars, to the awesome flying, to the Random Circus Acts at the end.
Another very good video. well done

You and Mo created a great vibe this year. Everyone should mark this event on their calendar for 2010.
