Hey Tobias, I was 16 when I finally left home. However, I did it when being Gay was not even mentioned. There were no networks then, but I refused to pretend, and rather put my energy into being positive and understanding. I remain ostracized by my blood, but now I have families everywhere. Love to you fair and wise young friend. You will shine ever more brighter. Meeting you has enhanced my day. I wish I could write more thoroughly, but this little box limits responses to a ridiculous degree.

so they screw themselves. And beside that. they commit a big sin. they say you have to act like jesus in a sense be the kind of person he was like he loves everyone no matter who they are. i mean he ate with sinner for crying out loud. your family are nothing but proud hypocrites and jerks.

Oh, boy! That was surely a moving story! Your words really moved me and made me wonder how cruel people can be sometimes. I don't mean to be judgmental, I'm just speaking of love and fairness. Your story certainly has brought such feelings: about life, about family, and about finding out about oneself. You should continue telling stories and eventually, writing them down. Im a gay guy, im 15 and yet to tell my family... but i have told my friends and they are pleased for me.

i cant believe what u had to go through, but you still pulled it off and made it in the end. You are such an inspirational person, your quite good looking too with a great personality. i bet u have lots of friends..

i was thrown out at 14 old enough to do odd jobs and make money etc. and i was lucky I ended up in a military school. i wouldnt have made it if i was 12.

Is it legal in the USA for parents to do this? Thousands of gay teenagers are apparently still living on the streets in America. I know the USA is almost the only nation not to sign the UN Declaration on Children's Rights, but surely there are some laws to stop this. In Europe I think the parents would end up in prison and the rest of the family in Community Care if they did this.

Your story has reached me in the UK and I'm glad it did. I was in my 30s before I came out, having spent most of my life in denial, so I think it is admirable of you to have come out at the age of 12. That shows a great deal of assurance and confidence in your character which I admire. That strength of character will hopefully take you through the rest of your life with your head held high.

I have watched this video 5 times today. It is amazing and the music is perfect. Is it Irish? I made this note book that sort of says the same thing. On the cover is an abandoned falling down farm house with some starving cows eating weeds in hard dirt. On the back some pics of gorgeous happy guys. and snaked in them is the phrase, "It's not where you start, its where you finish." I will try to get someone to take a picture of it to send to you. You make me stronger and more confident.
