There's the key word..subjective....you don't have to like Madlib, but there are ALOT of people that consider that album a classic, nobody was rhyming like DOOM when that came out. You don't have to like it, but respect the originality of it.

Give it a week to digest and if you still hate it come back and reply. In my experience, i rarely i'm impressed with beats on my first hearing, but after a couple of weeks, if they are good (which madlib's beats evidently are) i reach the addiction level.

I just got the album, i would give it 5/5 the production was on point. Mos Def always bring the lyrics. But yeah it wasnt "Classic Hip-Hop" but you can tell he is getting into the new style lil bit in his music and the way he is dressing.

Ecstatic is better imo, but to me it sounds a lil bit to much of Kanye's stuff (Not 808nHeartbreak). The tracks on Ecstatic is like everytime you hear it, its your first time listening and it makes you want to replay it when its done. This album is crazy
