I collected milk bottles at 5c each to get quarters to pump into this machine. The Piggly Wiggly on Meadowbrook Dr Ft Worth Tx ate a lot of my quarters. I think it was 1979, the same summer I saw Alien in the theater. Maybe it was 1980. Anyway, I could never get past level 4 or 5.
ya, in them days, the arcade I went to in denver, CO, gave you 6 credits for a $1, their coin machine acepteded doller coins but it couldn't tell the difference between 50 cent coins and $1 coins, so I would as gater all my 50 cent coins and get 6 plays
Star Castle did not run off of any CPU, 5MHz or otherwise. It used discrete logic in place of a CPU. "Old School".

Star Castle was originally named Ring War but was renamed to Star Castle to better fit the outer space setting of the game.
