Well Tim did blow a G# into the pitch pipe to start the song in G# minor but instead of the chorus being in B major they sharped to C major oops :P Other than that every single chord rang like heck! Great job!
What are you talking about? The chorus was in B major. They remained perfectly in tune throughout the song. These guys are pro. They're not going to accidentally slip up a semitone half way through.
Just out of curiosity, since they did it this way at internationals, isn't it possible that they just choose to "modulate" it up or simply go up the step for the sake of the blend? Not trying to be an instigator.
yeah I agree - the fact that he can hold it that long is huge, but what really impresses me is how perfect the lock is on the final chord - I mean even if I COULD hold a note that long, near the end my voice would be wavering and weak
you know, these guys did it the right way, they won college, and then went mainstream. they paid their dues, and made a real name for themselves in the Harmony Society
Definitely! He doesn't try to "show up" the chord, so it stays ringing. These guys are the best champion quartet in a while, as their scores would indicate...
Ditto, as amazing as Tim is, the others are awesome. Eric without a doubt has one of the smoothest voices in the BHS, Johnny is pretty powerful as well-but blends so well with the others, and Chris has a lot of Jim Henry bass qualities making for a killer quartet.
Hell of a note.

I've been wondering. Is Eric usually singing in falsetto, or is his voice just that pure and mellifluous?
Sylvanas590 2 years ago
@Sylvanas590... lol... yes. gorgeous voice.
wyzzardfamily 2 years ago
no falsetto for the most of it... hes just got that smooth sound to his head voice
littlephoenix1115 2 years ago
and also, his transition from chest to head voice is flawless, you can't hear the break, which makes it hard to tell the difference sometimes

I just fell in love with the quartets. Awesome job. Thank you so much.
Though, I couldn't think of "101 Dalmations" when I was listening. The rewrite was somewhat different than what I expected.

Hemicudap87 2 years ago
I think I can see what you mean actually. They modulate into C major at 2:47. Then they sing the chours in G# at 3:38.
They are consistantly in tune though.
