@RotaryPoweredRX dude if you even listened the narrator a little bit you would know that she is "the monarch's daughter". she attacekd Geralt because the curse was not lifted completely yet by then. btw this tariler is based on a chapter in the witcher novel "The Last Wish".
@Olemguy Yeah and that's completely asinine. The original Witcher isn't for console, so how the hell are they going to bring a game that is lacking half the story to consoles. They're going to cut so much out, including detail too. Because maybe a ps3 could run Witcher 2 but no way in hell can a 360 (aka toaster oven) run it.
@joytoy322 If the consoles can take large open worlds like The Elder Scrolls, they shouldn't have any problems with The Witcher 2, as it's not really that open world, not to mention the visuals being brought down a couple notches. The 360 version likely runs below a 1280 x 720 resolution. It doesn't bother me that much, but I'm a bit sad that once we finally get a AAA quality exclusive after four years, it gets ported to a console anyway. :(
@Olemguy Well the reason an Xbox can run a game like the Elder Scrolls is because first of all, all the meshes, LOD, textures are sized down to an extreme. And distant lands aren't rendered worlds. There's very little for the console to process at a time. And on a side note, most multi-platform games that release to the 360 run at 30fps or lower. Playing with a controller gives you the feel of less lag. And the Witcher 2 even as it looks on a small scale has a million things to render at once.
@Olemguy And sorry if I'm coming off as a dick. I'm trying not to. What I meant but couldn't say with the character limit is that there's many more features of detail in The Witcher 2. Like Ambient Occlusion, Shadowed Lights, Light Shafts, SSAO, Ubersampling.. Etc. Despite the smaller environments this is arguably the best looking game to date (as far as an animated fantasy world goes). But the main point is how are they going to introduce a new audience to a sequel?

I haven't played the original, but I instantly fell in love with TW2 when I saw the trailers, gameplay vids, and heard pieces of the music score. They're working on a CG intro movie for the game that will be about Letho's kingslaying to name some events, and possibly crucial TW1 events.
