Eros is the God of Love in Greek Mythology - like a cupid - so you have to imagine this like a little winged nymph creating love at the beginning (I saw it as a fluttering heartbeat that happened throughout - like sexual desire, or love) and the strings can either be a tense buildup or the harbinger of the consequences of love, which are almost always terrifying, whether they are negative or positive.
