This man goes to Paignton beach regularly when it's dark and flies this kite. Terrified my children!! The kite is very large and has different light sequences.

my parents and one of my friends all saw that too from torquay it was out to sea a bit, they said it looked a bit like ball lightening from a program my dad saw but that was the pnly thing he could think of.
prove it's not....alien ufo's dont have that kind of lights. They have dot shaped lights around the middle, and only 1 color. Not 3-4 like you see here.
you need educating how do you no what real ufo,s look like?
the object in this video is being distorted by the artifacts of the digital medium being used to film the object, also add low light and a camera starts guessing colours.. if this person faked it i would like to no how, because they have used and suggested all the trademarks of a fake in this video, even the totally out of context soundtrack to further cover up any possible chance of hearing other people gasping in amazement etc
What about the lights from the Modle Village in babbacombe? They light up the sky on a clear night, but I am sure the ones from EITHER the Lighthouse pub, OR the pier do change colour, but cant remember which one though!
i saw this too i stoped to have a look and it wasn't anything to do with anything on land i didn't have my cam and if i had my cam it would of been more clearer than dumpydave's phone but i saw it with my own two eye's it was about 9pm and pitch black.ALSO I'VE SEEN THIS OVER TORQUAY TOO ABOVE THE SEA AT 8PMISH AND THE THEME TUNE IS A LITTLE ANOYYING !!!
Hmmm. I live in Brixham, about 6 miles from Paignton. I'm guessing that what you saw are the light beam show that originates from somewhere on the seafront when a disco is on.
But without a clearer image, I can't tell for sure.
the lazer lights from the peir or the light house pub don't change colour. I just wish i had my camera with me instead of recording it on my phone. It would of been clearer. I wasn't the only person who stopped to look it was around 9pm.

It was a kite with flashing lights underneath it, on paignton green.
