Yes, Paducah is peaceful and nice. If you thought it "was" beautiful, you should see it now. But we still have a ways to go to be a really beautiful, thriving city. Part of our problem is that this city taxes everything and is run by control-freaks who enacted a smoking ban about 1-1/2 yrs. ago which adversely affected numerous restaurants/bars.
So...these and other obstacles keep Paducah from really thriving.
I used to live in Paducah! It was peaceful and just a beautiful town.
