I flew with Etihad to Beijing and I was only in Economy class but it was the best flying experience I have ever had! The staff know how to make flyers feel special and they are so nice! If I ever fly long-haul again I will definitely choose Etihad!

Etihad's suites are indeed more classy looking then Emirates. I do agree and think that Emirates tend to go overboard with the decor........But still both can not compare to Singapore suites......

Emirates is nowhere near a close fight with singapore airlines. even etihad i think is slightly better. they may be nice cabins but they seriously don't service their planes. i know a guy who was flying thai, looked out the window, saw an emirates plane and guess what he say sticking out of the emirates tail? a 20cm long screw was sticking out the tip. it was bent and was causing a tear in the tail.

umm... i think ppl r smart enough 2 know what is n isn't 20cm. our aircraft was a tiny 737 aircraft n the emirates plane was right next 2 us n we were both using stepladders

if such a huge fan of EK, why would someone fly Etihad, really show the bias within you. Ive flown EK, SQ, QF on their 380s & EY on their 346 Must say SQ ^ EY were on par. Seat width on EY suites is much much better then EK/SQ.

You guys are amazing. OF COURSE SQ drools over EK with their 'Suites'. You cannot compare EK's suite to SQ Suites, on SQ they are a whole different class, for EK to even be considered as good as SQ's suites is incredible! There is a 1000 pound price difference on a return flight to LHR from SIN. If you actually compared first class to first class, then SQ doesn't actually look that good anyway. Remember, apparently its a 'Class beyond first'.

How in any way is what I have said an opinion?? All of the above is fact, SQ has officially created a new class of travel, it's called 'R', economy is 'Y', business is 'J' and First class is 'F', suites on SQ is 'R' class, so therefore you are comparing an F class to an R class, so of course there will be differences. Sure I am a fan of EK, but SQ is a great airline as well, but I just don't see the logic here. Can you get your head round that?

By the end of 2010, all Etihad 3 Class A/C will be with the Suites & new Pearl Business class seats.

New Economy class cabin/seats will be launched next month when the first 333 is delivered.

The 332 current 3 class will be converted to 2 class. So all 332 will be 2 zone

333 to be delivered from Dec will be 3 class. All 333 will be 3 zone a/c

345/346 refurbished by Dec 10 for all cabins.

77W will remain 2 zone. Till the new 77W's to be delivered from 2010/2011 will be 3 zones

I think the New first class will be only available on the A340s since its operates longhaul routes like AUH-LHR and JFK. The 777-300ER doesnt have first class, it only has Business Class since it mostly travels in Asia like BKK, KUL and MNL where economy class is a high demand.

Not sure but maybe if they found a high demand on these and prices of these suites compare to other airlines are reasonable maybe they will upgrade their rest A346 with the new suites, But for what i know, these will be on their new delivered A340-600

well the thing is i saw their mocket at arabian travel exhebition in dubai today and honestly it was away too cheep , and the dark colors feels like if you are in dark room,and realy there is nothing so special about it but on emirates simply its bright ,airy and luxurios!!, you realy feel that you are in a first class!!

But anyway guys, we are trying to compare to different things, you cannot compare EK's first class to SQ's suites, look at the price difference on a return flight from SIN - LHR, there is over a $1000 price difference! yeah, i mean you're totally right about the wood. on singapore airlines the wood/burr walnut is real, polished n waxed. it's the kind you'd find in a BMW or a MB. the EK suites are still awesome, but the fake wood/burr walnut really gives away the effect.
