no i get my information from the 1 year of tech school and the 4 plus years ive worked on them as a crew chief. its a 25mm, the old AC-130H had a 20MM about 15 years ago the new AC-130Us never had them. nice try dick

@snoopyofdoomxx I'm going to settle this for you. For one thing that guy didn't go to tech school for one year to be a crew chief. If he did that means he failed some blocks. And another there is no way that this can be a U-model anyways. If you look closely this acft has long wires. I believe the U-models never had longwires (wires running from vert stabilizer to back of flight deck). These are for HF comm which are installed on H and P models, maybe a few more but def not U-models.
Before you say anything, I'm just going to end it. I don't feel like arguing with someone over the caliber of a weapon. There's more important things. If you really are a crew chief, then thank you. You provide lots of support for the infantry.

Buddy....I'm a Pilot. I fly a REAL plane. And Flight Simulator is quite REAL to some extent. You saying "your making 50 more knots closer to the ground" is so stupid. You have no possible perception of speed or altitude in this video.

no i get my information from the 1 year of tech school and the 4 plus years ive worked on them as a crew chief. its a 25mm, the old AC-130H had a 20MM about 15 years ago the new AC-130Us never had them. nice try dick

There's 3 variants that uses 20mm guns. We never specified what year we were talking about and the vid never says what variant. If you were also a crew chief, you probably would have learned that they don't all use the same weapons. Nice try dick.

You'd think someone that works on military aircraft would have some type of discipline and enough knowledge to type in correct English. The U.S. has really lowered their standard, haven't they?

@snoopyofdoomxx I'm going to settle this for you. For one thing that guy didn't go to tech school for one year to be a crew chief. If he did that means he failed some blocks. And another there is no way that this can be a U-model anyways. If you look closely this acft has long wires. I believe the U-models never had longwires (wires running from vert stabilizer to back of flight deck). These are for HF comm which are installed on H and P models, maybe a few more but def not U-models.
