This guy is amazing, he can dish out the brutal stuff as well as dish out some very tasty grooves, personally im not in the brutal death core stuff, but this guy is making me think different if all drummers are this well rounded as this guy i might have to give it a shot. Ive only been playing for 12 years(since 6) and im hoping that i can lay down some tastyness like this guy kthx youtube :D

try some good death metal, not deathcore for any reason (besides what u r listening to here has nothing to do with deathcore). try some hate eternal(roddy's former band),morbid angel, atheist, nile.. u ll find some major drum skill there

now why is this hate from "true" metal heads towards deathcore. fine if you dont like it, dont listen to it. but to tell other people not to listen to it is another thing. Peoples main concern is that they put all their heaviness in breakdowns and the rest of the tracks lack of skill or heaviness and feels like a transport route. well theres bands like that ofc, but theres real good deathcore bands and im tired of you people to tell other people that a whole genre is wack when it really isnt.

like any other form of music, me, and others I'm sure..have listened to death core and given it a chance and just aren't satisfied with it..Derek Roddy has been only involved with true death metal bands so its very possible that any person who likes Derek Roddy as a drummer would prefer death metal because obviously Derek himself prefers it..

this is the kind of band you find in the amazon, naked with painted skin and snakes and vines laying around them. like some sort of weird species that use instruments to focus energy into their territory. like those ants that harness caterpillars and use their secretion for some shit that benefits their colonies. except cooler.

loving the after jam, jam. its amazing to see such musicianship throughout the band. not one of you stand out from the rest, your all equally talented and open minded. that is RARE to come by. you guys should put random jams like this in your cd to break up the pure brutality of serpents rise and show everyone that a true musician should be equally versed in all genres, tempos, timings and what have you. im lovin everything you guys do. i could, id marry all of youlol

You have given the saying "the best things in life are for free" a whole new meaning by deciding to give away music for free.. but it worries me as somewhere i feel its not doing justice to you guys.. also I spend a lot of time on your forum.. but inspite of registering twice I havent been added to it. In regards to giving it away..I want as many people to hear it as possible. You know, as well as I that..CD's are not being sold like they use to. Todays generation of music listens are being trained that music IS free.(free downloads, streaming of the entire disk, etc..)

Anything else would be a disservice to the band..in my eyes.

try ans try and try. your muscle will develop in order to be engouth fast, and USE WRIST... Develop this muscle. And pratice more and more... i can be really fast with my right but i cant stay long and really no power... pratice...

J.P.Soars, Marco Martell are playing guitar. Mike Moreno plays bass.

We will be giving our music away for free when we get around to recording it for real.

It will take us awhile as we are still finding our sound but, maybe by the winter time....we'll have something for release.

In the meantime...these songs are for download on my forum at the present time... under the general forum page.
