i know that there's no one as amazing as sutton, but i saw this on broadway with a different actress (mara davi) and she was far better than whoever this girl is. she's so boring!

I like that she's not Sutton. I like that she did her own thing. Sutton is not going to be in every production of this show and that is what is so special about theatre is each role is open for interpretation of the actor cast.

I thought this girl was great, she did her own thing with the song and the musicality of it. :) I enjoyed it.

To be honest though... that is more the territory of the directors thoughts on the whole shape of the show.... how an actor really plays the song... She could have interpreted it very differently but ultimately what makes it on stage is the choice of the director. PLUS COME ON! Sutton is shaping her generation of musical theater performers. She makes the incredibly difficult look flawless and easy. That is her gift to the world of MT. To compare a very competent actress is unfair to the actress

AH! I saw this in London! And I met a lot of them after show and they were all so nice. Bob Martin especially was really sweet and willing to answer questions. It was kind of funny though, because they were all like "Oh! Americans!" and when Mr. Martin spoke we were like "Oh! An American!" Lol, I wish I had read up on him before hand -- I went through the program AFTER the show and was kicking myself all night for not having asked him more interesting and intelligent questions :(

I saw Sutton in "Millie" three times, and "Drowsey Chaperone" twice. She is incredible. There is nbothing she can't do! Having her and Beth Leavel on stage at the same time is a Broadway maniac's ultimate fantasy. Wow!!! What two incredible performers!!!

hmmm i saw both sutton and summer in this role and i liked summer's interpretation and stage presence a lot more but i much prefer sutton's voice- its not a question of technique or training, its just the natural tone they we're all both born with and sutton's sounds more free/open and warm. overall performance though, i like summer better

Having seen Summer Strallen live, I think that she is very good; but Sutton Foster is simply in a different league. Summer Strallen is good at what she does but she didn't really make the character stand out that much.

I saw both Sutton and Summer, and I can honestly say that Summer has nothing to be embarrassed about. While I still think Sutton had the edge, Summer was outstanding. It is too bad the show closed - I saw it on the first preview, and the audience loved it.

Sutton Foster is amazing at this role and Strallen is very weak. Sutton Foster can dance, have you seen her Tony Awards Performance? Strallen is very weak at this role, she doesn't have the same edge Foster does. Sutton is and will be, one of Broadway's leading ladies for a long, long time.

And Drowsy is closing in London after 2 months! That just says it all.
