I live in India and cows here are treated nothing close to any form of God or worship... there are countless lying on busy streets or crowded stations... many of them are still made to draw carts... these bullock carts are a very common sight..their conditions are pathetic..with most of them very skinny and tied to trees... the same goes for horses... its really sad and i wish i could help in some way :(
