Enough, what im doing with my life?

    fap fap fap

    Its MIT for chris sake

    fap.... fap.... fap....

    life sucks

  • i feel like i have to talk smart to write a comment @_@

  • Good, I like that you share this video MIT sketching, I wish success always

  • Nice Video MIT sketching That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You

  • I Really Like The Video MIT sketching From Your

  • Your Video MIT sketching Is Very Useful Sharing

  • Cool but essentially useless. Like a lot of stuff that comes out of MIT.

  • amazing!

  • naa mia is langweilig

  • aWOWO.. nice.. what kind of program is that? i'd like to use it in my field.. very good illustrations and i hope it can be well developed so that it can be applied to more in the future..

  • amazing!!

  • So he did what you can do with a pencil with an eraser and a paper. But took the commen sense out. Ohh well, as long as ur happy :)

  • Looks like Box2D

  • do they have this for the ipad??

  • THIS VIDEO MADE ME AN ENGINEER

  • wrong... Sandcrawlers are made to run on sand... any Jawa knows that... speed bump... pffft...

  • haha this has been on my favorites for like 3 years and it always messes up my music but its fun to watch

  • That's bloody amazing

  • is there anybody know the name of the cool software?

  • algodoo powered or more comonly known as phun or is it just me seeing things

  • FREE THE ARMADILLO

  • I WANT THAT PROGRAM :X

  • Le Banc d'Essai du Peuple m'a envoyé ici.

  • Wicked cool!

  • das ist ein greatos presentasos!! :P

  • CANT AFFORD MIT,GLAD THESE LECTURES ARE FREE ON YOUTUBE. ...NOT A STUDENT EITHER!.........

  • Whoa professor Ur a. Genius. Wow

  • This is the coolest software I have ever seen! lol

  • yeah way to go!

And why MIT vs. others? Here is the explanation:

    youtube.com/watch?v=9YaVK9j-l0o

  • What is software name ?

  • Um... his looks a lot like the game Fantastic Contraption. Amazing game! Go play it!!

  • This is 5 year old tecnology, and u seem to find that programmes we have no similar to this are not much better....

  • IS THIS APP ON THE IPHONE?

  • see OnyxCode and try to decipher it !!!!

  • this reminds me so much of the game "Crayon Physics Deluxe", maybe they're related??

  • @suishoujo this was the physics engine that "Crayon Physics" adapted :) i still remember when it came out haha...it was amazingly fun to even watch :)

  • nice

    do u sell it?

  • funny

  • Let's go back to the drawing board.............LITERALLY

  • Interesting!

  • I want one of these boards

  • I've got 2 words for you professor...Garry's Mod

    Look into it

  • i did this except instead of a cart, i drew a penis, and on the bottom i drew a butthole. and an arrow going down with"x5" to indicate gravity times 5 which is 49 meters/sec.

  • hi

what is name of software u using in this vedio

  • What is the name of the program he is using? Can we download it for the PC?

  • hehjust cant seem to fInd a prince who knows his way around a womans body

  • this is so weird o-o

  • The birth of "Line Rider" :D

  • Guys in case you didnt know, this is old technology. There are people programming better physics in flash lol, even 3d in flash.

  • @fourmidgets this has nothing to do with programming physics, its about simulations you can do by simple drawing, eg in schools.

  • this guy is retaaaaardeeeeeed cant even drop the balls in the cup

  • Line rider? =D

  • I AM DESIGNATION ZZ9... AND I AM A RENEGADE DALEK! WHAT I AM SAYING IN NO WAY PERTAINS TO THIS VIDEO

  • Magic :)

  • of course.

  • In Reference to CIS-112 assignment_C. Cooper: This tool is interesting because you didn't expect it to be so interactive. It is a tool that could be used as a starting point or as he said a "drawing board" for a way to scratch down ideas for a project.

  • reminds me of the incredible machine game.

  • Is MIT like a techincal college that's better than ITT Tech or Devry. I am bein intrested in becomming a welder or maybe a heavy machine operator. like the ones at the limestone mines. the drag lines. i don't want to be runnsin a skid steer or nuthing. How muhc that school cost. is it 4 years or 2 years? DO you be havin to haves a AST or SCT score to be gettin in there? do they send out flyers to my house if i be askin for one? I just got my ged and am ready to make some learnin to makes some $

  • @scottiev85 It's a little bit different than ITT Tech and Devry.

  • @lazer2762 How is it a little bit different.. Is it being a little bigger or sumthin? Is it as good as a school as Devry Or ITT Tech. I am just be looksin for some help on these kinds of things. Did you do your schoolin at MIT? Do they be is havin branch campuses. cuz that would be keen. thanks for the helps

  • @scottiev85 LMAO! Great stuff! :)

  • @scottiev85 Wow you are a huge dumbass. Learn English first. I doubt you would get into MIT.

  • so, how this system sets the mass of the moving objects? maybe computer set some default value multiplied by a coefficient which depends on size of the object? Am I right?

  • Comment removed

  • And it's Windows 97.

It's impressive, but not very until it's in my living room or hell, even class room

  • WTFFFFF!

  • very cool

  • how nice is this?

  • Wow!!! no wonder MIT students have a better knowledge.

  • So the point is physic formulas for each were pre-set for specific objects drawn. What is so special about that? The games out today do that all the time.

  • watched this vid w/ no sound, but im guessing... circles are wheels, X's make solid objects, and arrows create gravity. And those inner circle act as axis for the larger circles. basicly a 3d assumption software. very nice. easy to learn without hearing anything hes saying.

  • @playedlikecards we all know you had your audio on. Don't act smart. Now find a corner and cry.

  • @deathmatters no actually i didn't and my rooms a circle :P

jk but i actually didnt have audio when i watched this. my speakers were still in the box. i gots a new computer. once again, :P

  • what program is he using? it looks cool

  • thats funny....this is is a prof. and he cant even make the fuckin marbles go in the cup. come on dude, it took you 3 trys? jesus.

  • @Broodkill How do you know he didn't miss it for demonstration purposes?

  • can you iomagin this as a job ?

  • The drawing syle looks like PHUN / Algodoo...

  • what this program name ?

  • he's using a Newtonian mechanics simulation with some similar features. phun is just one implementation of Newtonian mechanics. The whole point of the video is that he is making a simple drawing and the computer is creating the system of objects based on his gestures (the pen is capped and doesn't write on the blackboard)

  • phun is what hes usiing?

  • CHANGE THE GRAVITY :O

  • someone made a free game that is similar to this. not magic pen, but something else. anyone know what it's called. supposedly, he's going to release a more advanced sequel to the game.

  • @blklightning330 - Are you thinking of Line Rider?

  • hmhey ho bin so einsam jemand lust zu chattn oder so

  • hmzmöchte ja nicht rum nervern aber bin total einsam wer hat lust zu schreibn

  • Smart ass

  • There was a demonstration of something similar to this at my school. I was one in a few who saw it.

  • The professor is Randall Davis from MIT CSAIL. The whole point of the video is to demonstrate the sketch recognition engine, not the physics.

  • heiauf der suche nach jemanden der mich von meiner andauernden einsamkeit erlösen kann

  • I need a mentor to guide me to MIT!

  • Awesome! I need one too!!!

  • How do they manage to get windows 2000 to run on hardware that powerful?

  • @Fitfatfoofite its m it duh

  • thats sick

  • they made a game out of this.

i think its called Magic Pen . or something

  • what's the title of thr proggy?

  • bump its so many days I KNOW THE TITLE its called Assist but i need a download link PLEASE DO NOT give me microsoft PI i have it its really buggy can i have Assist(the original)? CAN I HAVE 4SHARED?

  • The program looks a little bit like Phun ( or Algoodo).

  • That was crazy....MIT seems like great university but too many nerds

  • @franksters08 isnt that what makes it great?

  • I think it probably finds the surface area of the shapes, then multiplies each by a fixed density to obtain a mass for each object. Awesome demo. ROFL @ windows comment.

  • how did it analyse the weight of the cart?

  • is that Windows 2000? My dad said it sucked

  • windows2000 is the most soldi windows ever!!!

    mine never crashed in 8years!!!

  • whats the name of this program?

  • wow

  • wow.. fascinating.. thank you for the demo mit.

  • its done on working model

  • nice

  • this isn't useful at all.

  • Haaaa, Really old technology.

  • old technology ....-_- crayon physics got the same kind of technology .... and thats and old game ... this guy just take old to make it look new

  • Dios, esto es excelente xP

  • soauf der suche nach jemanden der mich von meiner andauernden einsamkeit erlösen kann

  • i wanna go to this schoooll. mass has good hockey and im into tech. im still a freshman

  • It's called interactive physics. there's a lot of stuff you can do that he didn't show. You can have motors and stuff.

  • I have crayon physics it is great!! We used it in our CAD program.

  • cant seem to find a guy who isnt a coward

  • This is very similar to Crayon Physics Deluxe which is a free program you can download. Warning: It's highly addictive!

  • @midagallery

    19.95$ != Free

    The demo is free though.

  • @midagallery i luv that program.

  • what is the exact name of this program? i do not want anyone to say "Phun" i already use that.

  • interactive physics

  • i mean the program that he uses to simplify it and the one he clicks the run button and stuff

  • not interactive physics

  • working model

  • Awesome. Does anyone here go to MiT? Whats it like? Ive heard about those big hacks, sounds so damn fun

  • @Autonova I like it - it's a great school, although it's not like we all get together and pull massive hacks every weekend. One of the best things I like about it is the atmosphere - MIT doesn't track class rankings, so there's no sense of intense competition like there can be at some schools (Ivy Leagues, I'm looking at you). I was surprised when I got on campus that it wasn't a gleaming mecca of shining technology. In fact, a lot of the buildings are flippin' old, but hey, it's home.

  • @RobinHood3000 yeah exactly, that's the thing i think separates it to make it the best in the world. im studying maths at swansea in the uk - but my friend goes to cambridge and says the elitism is horrendous. kids coming to uni in frickin helicopters. he even says most of them are quite intellectually dim and are only there because both of their parents are doctors. those kinds of institutions are essentially fascist i think, they suck the fun out of being a student.

  • Amazing

  • what program is that?

  • Phun is a small program that lets u do exactly the same things as this one. Check out ur self

  • Dang this vid still getting views, and oh yea, did someone say line rider? lol

  • wow

  • this guy's incredible at art. next leonardo da vinci right here.

  • looks to me like this is just a 2d version of gmod

  • Phun is the program for every os...its just like that

  • No wonder why the Japanese pulled so far ahead of us...

  • i used the app on our smartboards in the college and it was freaking awesome..so fun

  • Not sure why this was in the 'recommended for you' section, but it's pretty cool but far from new. We had this stuff when i was doing my A-levels (4 years ago!), came in pretty useful for physics. All done on interactive whiteboards, needless to say the science and IT teachers were the only ones that could actually use it effectively.

A fantastic tool for schools and universities, and great fun to play around with!

  • The video is 3 years old, so the fact that you've seen it 4 years ago does not mean much.

  • @fingerbottom you are funny as hell! lol.... The guy who put this video online 3years ago also said that this was not his original video.... So the original video could be 4years old... You are dumb :)

  • Yeah, the game is called crayon physics or something

  • Crayon Physics Deluxe - Its amazing...and addictive lol

  • pretty cool

  • wot is a name of program

  • and MIT discovers linerunner

  • and this was 3 years ago, it must be almost perfected by now with lots of features!

  • there is also a game called magic pen that was somewhat like this.

  • thats so cool

  • Isn't there a game like this.

  • this is great!

  • Silverlight has some cool technologies that are similar.

  • this is not a fake!

both technologies have existed for years, i guess this guy at MIT has kind of combined and re-programmed them

  • I remember when this was first featured on the front page. Wow. Has it really been that long?

  • it's just like using phun with a light pen (phun is a physics based app)

  • the tuskish job.

  • give me a link to download it

  • @smallbot1 - lol you got burned.

  • what program is that????????????

  • there is one JUST like that called phun

  • That game, surprisingly, wasn't fun. In my opinion.

  • ahem, no, you're dead wrong.
