I've been to Luang Prabang (enjoyed it), and whilst I was there, I realized just how isolated from the rest of the world this lovely little hamlet is.

This country is so relaxed and calm.

Forget Thailand, go to Laos.

The elongated south is not as beautifull as the north, but still worth visiting, especially 4000-islands, Bolevan Plateau and Champasak.

Also worth seeing, which not many people travel to, is the Plain Of Jars.

@UnemployedLaotianGuy I have visit in depth about 40 countries and passed through a lot more. I love Laos because of its isolated beauty. Although more and more tourists go to Laos, it is still a very small amount compared to its neighbors. It felt like going back in time visiting Laos. Its slow pace, genuine feel, and relaxed vibe is very attractive. Thanks for commenting.
