  • Dude, i think i was sitting right around you lmao i was there :P

  • SHIT! listen for Wolfgang at about 28 seconds for that little guitar fill part. NUTS!! He's killin' it I don't care what anyone says

  • They're ON it here!

  • To all those who think WE thought the song was over......guess again.......this was the part of the show where they stopped the song so Ed and Dave can have their rehearsed HUG....watch any vid of this song from this tour and you ll see the same thing everytime...........

  • Spending a few days in Toronto I got to see this friday night gig on the 10th stop on the tour. It was great to see a hometown band up in the great white north, something really special.

Even though I got sideview seats they were decent enough and the the show kicked some serious ass and VH was on all cylinders.

  • This was a magical night. I've seen hundreds of shows and this one will stick out for a long time. The crowd was SO into it. We all waited years to see this reunion and I must say we let it all out that night. The crowd sang along to every song!! Would love to see them do it again!!

  • This is such an underrated VH song!! The bop ba da, shoo ba dee wah (badabum) part rules.

THOSE BASTARDS THOUGHT IT WAS OVVVERRR!! That pisses me off, you see how confused Dave is?

I tell you, all of Denver knew what to do. I was there ^^

You shoulda heard them before Ice Cream Man, dear god... O.O It was soo frickin cool!

  • @Rum0Piratess damm right dude, this is one of there best, a friend of mine saw them on there reunion tour and said they were awesome, this song has that double bass shuffle beat, like hot for teacher, alex is such a super drummer, can't wait to hear there new album

  • i miss the "shubidu-ah" part

  • i HATE how at 2:39 everyone thinks the song is over..you can tell there werent that many BIG van halen fans at this tour. when iwas in edmonton i wnated to get the "bop shoo-ee" or w.e chant going..but..no one caught on except me and my friend??!!

  • i know i hate shit like that! i went to see Megadeth a few weeks ago. There was a bunch of wannabe punks in the pit. There mom kept on coming down to check on them! I know EXACTLY wat u are talking about!!!!!

  • I was at this show but you can't see me :D. It kicked ass for sure.

  • I was at this show and their were Lots and Lots of die hard V H fans. Everyone was singin the songs LOUD all night long!!

  • @stonesfan71 as was I man!! it fuckin rocked 30th row on the floor!!

  • @metalupyourass9 My ass, the tickets were 90 bucks a piece for nosebleed seats. NO ONE is gonna pay that kinda money for a band they're not a big fan of.

  • Thanks for the comments everyone. Since I have had so many requests for a full source copy of my footage i am looking to make a Torrent and seed it however I have never set one up before so if anyone cares to help ill make a seed of my source material (3 mpeg4 AVI files) :) cheers

  • Why doesn't Dave to the train whistle scream as often as he used to, and when he does do it, why is it not as high? Was it damaging his voice? Also, why is he the only rock guy besides his clone in the Atomic Punks who can make that crazy sound? I find it interesting.

  • I can name plenty of songs by thoses "other" players. You are confusing comercial success with technical talent. I'm not talking about how many records he has sold or who knows who's songs. I'm talking about pure technical ability on the guitar and Holdsworth, Dimeola, Vai and Shawn Lane are in another league altogether. Eddie is good for what he does and I'll leave it at that.

  • don't forget Satriani

  • You'all need to listen to the interview on you tube of eddie talking about Holdsworth saying that he found holdsworth playing at the roxy! Ed got him signed with warner bros as well! Alan was selling records at the door and was going to sell his axe to feed his kids

  • First off I respect all of your opinions very much on Eddie. I'm sorry if I offended anyone here. I realize he has had great commercial success with his songs. I listen to more technical players like the ones I mentioned. I was speaking from a technical standpoint not commercial success. Thanks

  • Holdsworth is one on EVH's biggest fans! They have even worked together. Commercial success has nothing to do with it. Al DiMeola is one of the worlds best and one of my fav's, but he didn't CHANGE anything as far as approaching the instrument is conceerned - and EVH did just that. Guitar has never been the same since 1978's VAN-HALEN was released. Very few players have made that kind of an impact.

  • Excuse me but I distinctly remember Eddie Van Halen consistantly metioning Holdsworth and Eric Clapton as "HIS" influences not the other way around and quite frankly I hear nothing of Holdsworth in his playing. Simply stated Allan is in another league altogether. DiMeola not changing anything? I beg to differ but he ushered in guys like Malmsteen with alternate picking technique.I'm sure we can go back and forth on this for 10 years but that's the way I see it. Out!

  • ALLAN HOLDSWORTH in another league ?- please !!!eddie is 10000 better- aldimeola is neo -jazz stuff and shawn lane is the same neo-classic sound from institut like GIT is not a virtouse , is more academic guitar player 0 innivation

  • everyone has their opinion, and those listed are very good. quite frankly you could have a list a mile long of guitarists that may be better than this one and that one, goes by taste, but what eddie has done no one has ever accompished for rock guitar, and that is inspire guitarists for over 30 years. He opened the door for more rock guitar players than anyone else

  • No, I think you will find that Hendrix got there first with that one.

  • I agree with boogren

  • As a player myself I respect those guys, but how many people on the face of the planet can name even one song by those players? There are people out there who are "techincally" better players. But, if nobody hears their music and it doesn't appeal to as large an audience as Eddie's does...then whose music is better? It isn't Ed's tricks that draw people in. It's his feel, and that's not a technique. FEEL is what makes him a god on guitar.

  • Wow what a feeling it must be to rocking out in front of so many people with your dad who just happens to be the god of guitar!

  • THE ONLY VAN HALEN THAT MATTERS... F.... Sammy Hagar Gary Cherona and Michael Anthony!!!

  • I think they sound better than in the past, more control,Wolfgang do a great job but... I miss Michael Antony. keep on Rocking Van Valen.

  • Can you spell Van Halen?

  • My God, I love Van HAllen

  • i think ed has been rejuvenated somehow.Big difference from 04. his amp, brain and fingers are definitely in sync now.

  • did you all no when first started alex played guitar and eaddie played drums than switched??? that is true also one of the back bass drums is a refrigerater for drink,s i seen david get a drink out of one in the back at indy oct 14th!!!

  • cool

  • this is what they opened up with at indiapolis oct 14th they were better now than 1984!!! one of the best bands i have ever seen!!!

  • they open with You Really got Me/I'm The One

  • i meant on this tour

  • this was the 13th time ive seen them oct 7th! in toronto great show!

  • man i was at this show on the 12 it was sick they ended with jump they went all out it was sick i loved it when dave played ice cream man and told the crowd the great story

  • Did Dave write most/all of the lyrics for VH when he was with them originally?

  • Yes! That's what made Dave so unique and original than the rest of bands back then and even present day. His voice/sound and personality is what made VH CLASSIC. VH had the right ingridents. Nobody sounded like him before or even NOW.

  • Yes! That's what made Dave so unique and original than the rest of bands back then and even present day. His voice/sound and personality is what made VH CLASSIC. VH had the right ingredients. Nobody sounded like him before or even NOW.

  • looks like a pretty stripped down stage. nothing too fancy. I see they have the fake wall of amps tho. and is that an open area on that ramp above alex?

  • nevermind, I saw at the end where Wolf walked across it.

  • Dude, Wolfie is workin' it on this song! I was doubtful about him (cause I've always loved Mike), but his singing and bass playing on this tune makes me a believer! The NEW Van Halen. Ed's freekin' awesome as usual. Great vid. Too bad they won't be coming to Louisville.

  • I was thinking the exact same thing, I was (as were many) how well he'd pull it off..After seeing him at this show, I am also a believer!! he's doing great and it's great to see. Sooner or later his showmanship will come along as well.

  • Roth -N- Roll!!!
