@youknowyourrite1 They are nothing alike. although i admit you can get a few similar sounds they have very different uses. The WMD is also half digital where as the the robot is ALL analog. which doesnt really speak for the 150$ difference lol. im just saying they are different monsters...BTW i have yet to get a fuzz sound out of my Gieger Counter. but some great bit crushing

@segaman1 A bit late of a reply, but you could build one for nearly a tenth of the price. It uses an out of production chip which used to be used in kids voice changer toys. There's PCBs for a pedal similar to this without the fuzz (which actually taps into alot more of the capabilities of this chip), but unless you're willing to DIY you aren't going to find one similar.

I don't know the answer, but I can tell you that ringmod and pitch transposer i have in my multi-FX work just fine with my bass. Pitch transposer is of course cutting some lows, but the ringmod + fuzz or ringmod + reverb is not damaging the lows at all. Ever since I saw the Robat, I'm experimenting with my multi-FX to do something similar to overwhelming effect of this stompbox.

I heard the intro to it and I instantly said "Oh my god, I have to get one." I love robot noise effects. PGS, what exactly does the big controller do? I was confused when you said it turns down the gain for the previous modes but it changes the pitch on the arpeggiater mode.

@wetcrevice well... this is 320 bucks... the blue box is like 60 bucks... the blue box just adds two octaves down your tone plus fuzz, this offers you 4 pretty crazy sounds plus a nasty fuzz sound... its just apples for pears... although blue box has a geat sounding fuzz

the people who dislike this pedal don't know what they're talking about. It's not supposed to sound good it's supposed to sound different. If you think in terms of for example rage songs then this pedal might make for some interesting solos or small licks in a song.
