Crazy thinking its been 14-15 years (if not more) since i played it last time, but the music still sticks. Some parts of it is still amazing. Todays games got nothing on the these damn fine gems!
Amazing! And your so much better than me aswell, so many memories! I've recently downloaded the hd remake on my iPhone and I've become addicted to it but I just can't seem to get over 10 mil on any table it just seems harder maybe my reactions have worsened as I've got older who knows! I found myself shouting at my phone this evening, maybe it's time to give up lol.
Too right playthegames. Woulda loved to see the player head for that jackpot pocket over and over again instead of so much ramp-play. However, thanks so much for posting this vid - absolute classic!!!!
In my best times i had scores 500.000.000 and higher.... This was when i was at home with a broken back for months. So i was able to play highscores almost blind .... great stuff!
Brings back good memories. Many challenges between my and my friends. In the end they found it too difficult trying to beat my score or near 3 billion. thanks for the post. I thought it was called graveyard but its nightmare. :)
They started the career as "The SIlents", an Amiga team programming Amiga demos, then made the Amiga games: Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies, Ben E Factor.
Codename Eagle (for PC) was similar to the future success Battlefield; Motorhead (for PS1) was a good speedy futuristic racing game.
This is the closest thing to a real pinball that i have played.Nightmare was my favourite of pinball dreams. One of the few games i wish i could still have a way of playing.
think i still have some of the betatracks that never came into the final game left on floppys in my basement lol. have to see if they work still after almost 18 years;)
Seeing this video I remember again how great this game was. Now I feel I should dust off my trusty old A500 and fire it up ones again to play this great game!
I used to spend whole evenings on this table in the early '90s. It was great fun!
1991 or so. Something to note on this demo. Note teh ball physics include ball spin. So at times you see the affects of back spin stearing the ball. It was a pretty advanced game, and ran perfectly fine on a 7mhz cpu and only 1mb of ram.
If you find something that can play the MOD file, such as MODplug tracker or Renoise, you can just record your computer's audio mix using Audacity and then export it has an MP3.
All the software I mentioned is free, just do a search on the name and they will pop right up.
I actually got over 2 BILLION points on this table (NO JOKE). I had 1 billion and then got the double score. I think it was back in '95 or '96. I'm not that good nowadays.
Has anyone else noticed that the layout for this table (nightmare) is almost identical to the Williams Terminator 2 arcade pinball machine? obviously the skull head and canon are missing, but the ramps, loops, scoops, targets and bumpers are in the same position!
Not a criticism though, I love this game, it truly is the godfather of all computer pinball games!
Williams noticed too: lawsuit was (apparently) threatened, and hence the PC and SNES versions of the game have the upper left portion of the table adjusted (which makes the play a bit less fun as its nearly impossible to hit the multiplier advance 'die' triggers')
Pretty much one of my favourites ever, on any platform. Used to lose hours playing this. This was my favourite table out of any of the Pinball games on the amiga, and that's saying something as they were all pretty impressive (even the fairground themed one was a good laugh).
And the music is just superb, this could have been made into a real table without changing anything!

Schwierigkeit: Normal

Yes, they are. Digital Illusions (DICE).

This particular table was my favourite!
This still is one of the most playable home computer pinball games in my opinion!!
If you are into virtual pinball, check out Virtual Pinball with VpinMame.
VpinMame emulates the original system to run original pinball game roms, so you can enjoy your old alltime favourite pinball at home.
