Saying that Michael Bay is anywhere nears the brilliance and awesomeness of James Cameron is like saying that those horrific Resident Evil films are like The Matrix films because they have slow motion.
Bay isn't worthy of breathing the same air as Jimmy Cameron.
I can definitely say that Michael Bay did a great job with CGI and effects and all that stuff, but that's it! I mean does anybody pay attention to detail or story anymore? This movie had so much potential but it lacked heart and emotion (it certainly didn't lack boobs and explosions I'll give you that). It was great visually but it was just so dry and meaningless.
micheal bay is a horrible director? u do realize that there's a cgi crew a music crew, 3d crew=this is just the tip of the iceberg all micheal does is take shots of what he wants and things and objects *example explosions* and the rest of the crew does all the work...the bottom line is how can you hate a guy thats just taking shots of his sorroundings?
Me personally, i love Michael Bay work, the camera work, effects, soundtrack likes and the feel in general, almost every movie creates goosebumps all over me. And Avatar is so overrated as real fuck, i mean is not a bad movie but is not all that great the story is like future poca-hontas with aliens or something is not THAT emotional i didnt even cry i mean CLICK was more emotional for christ's sake.
LOL. Everytime someone says "IF YOU SAY THIS MOVIE WAS GREAT THEN YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MOVIES!!!," I'm going to send them to this link and say "Yeah I guess James Cameron knows nothing about movies, right?" Fuck the haters
@AshleyKristine26 Yes i do, because he's a good director, if you knew anything about film making you would know. And being a retard like you is even worse.
@AshleyKristine26 Michael Bay is on the top of the list of shitty directors. You, not knowing anything about anything, would not understand this, you miserable piece of shit. Dropping hard R's really proves to me how ignorant you really are. Go back to the trailer park, Gizmo.
@AshleyKristine26 You are like responding to yourself, Michael bay is a pretty good director, Pearl harbor, The rock ? Bad boys? The island. You dont know shit, these are all good movies and even if he fell on Transformers (Which i dont think except for 2 MAYBE) He's still a pretty good director i want you to do better than him dumbass hater.
@olaokolaok BLAHHHHHHHHHH. Look, I really do not care about anything you're saying. Pearl Harbor was good, I'll give him that. And obviously he was brought of The Island. So proud that he ripped a scene from it and put it in Dark of the Moon. LOL. Whether he's "good" at what he does or not, (he isn't, by the way) he sucks compared to James Cameron. Bay totally tried to steal his thunder in this video. Talking talking talking. LOL. So lame.
@AshleyKristine26 Well you don't have to completely shoot him down like he's a piece of shit. Micheal Bay is a good director. Transformers is a very impressive movie series, visually. You must admit.
I'm sorry Bay and Cameron, but 3D isn't what makes a great movie or even makes it fun to watch. STORY and believable characters are the most important things you should work on. 3D is SOOOOoooo overrated.
@vezner it depends. Every director likes to work on different aspects of film. James Cameron loves to push the boundaries of film technology and VFX (all his films reflect that). There are directors who shoot art feature films that has very few audience but they still make those films because that is what they like to do.
@MrSoundwave1970 please dont post fkin spoilers.. u just ruined the experience i was waiting for 2 years which i can never have again... u gotta feel guilty about this
I doubt I'll go see it in 3D simply because I never really feel it's worth it the scenes and things maybe nice but tickets are high as hell already I'm not really untreated in paying damn the 20 just for a movie I respect James but I honestly feels he's giving 3D waaaaaayyyy to much head it's not that serious
@MrSchMikael This video, in it's full version was released yesturday to upload. There was a much shorter version around for a while. This is the full interview.
@cazza2855 no you dont get dirty glasses , might be your screwed up cinema, or it could be your hands, smudging the lens as you take it out the packet. if you dont get it in a packet, then its called recycling
i used to like James Cameron [titanic aside] but now he's really doing my head in with this 3D bullcrap. i don't know anyone who actually prefers 3D films to traditional 2D films, and he keeps droning on and on about it. shut up and make a new film instead of waiting another decade [or however long it was] and i like Avatar, but it ain't exactly original is it
@47bloodhound well it was probably original in its time of conception, also 3D is good for the cinema, you dont think about this, it prevents piracy and brings a new experience to those who go cinema, no its not always better than 2D but it is a nice experience, a new experience and i think, since he came up with the tech, he deserves to flaunt it a bit dont you?
@Joeformer10 sorry to seem like an arguemenative type [not trolling you dude]. but the only reason studios push for 3D is the ticket price. in England there's an average of a £3 difference [if there is a 2D and 3D version of the same film] in ticket price. i'm more of a traditionalist and know that 3D is revolutionary in both film making and in the sense that it comes around every few decades 50's-early80's-now. plus it gives me a banging headache
@47bloodhound Thats Fine :) I do understand that some things can really annoy someone, i know from experience :P oh i come from England anyway and yesterday i went to see pirates, was very good
sorry not the point, but i do understand where your coming from, i have to since i take film and media studies, but yh i do have a point here... just cant remember it anymore :S
Their movies are good... if you check your brain at the door.

@waters117 Bays movies are good if you leave your brain at the door. Cameron is a fantastic filmmaker all around. Have you seen Terminator, and T2?

Eastwood Clinton!
I was watching TRANSFORMERS (for the ump-teenth time), and caught something VERY peculiar.
When BARRICADE and BUMBLEBEE are fighting (at the power plant), BARRICADE pulls out a mace, swings it at BUMBLEBEE, and SAYS these exact words:
"THIS ONE IS FOR THE ARK!"
(These words are NOT in the SUBTITLES.)
Do you think BARRICADE said this for a reason? Is it at all related to the plot of DOTM? Tell me what you think! Weird, right?
