Speaking with so much empathy for a learner, she understands what I needed to know.. This is an excellent tutorial which I was looking for all the time.
My most sincere gratitude for your information and inspiration. You are a gifted teacher with such a tremendous wealth to share. Humility has the name of spirit.
I enjoyed very much Spirit sharing her experience and I really look forward to see more of her work. I believe she is a natural teacher. I am sure she can provide as much of a contribution in videos as with her art.
such a informative video on woodcarving. please give us a second one. i learned more from spirit in fifteen minutes then i have in ages.. thanks spirit
I am a beginning, self-taught woodcarver. I began trying to carve on old pieces of pine and oak eggs that I got from the craft store. NOW I understand why it was so difficult.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for these explanations. I now understand the numbering system for gouges and I finally get why the mallet is round.
Please continue with this series. I absolutely loved them.
It really is the people, isn't it. Their skills can be amazing, but it's the fact that they've devoted themselves to their craft--get lost in their craft--and bring so much pleasure. And they tend to work for a pittance. So, someone new? Or follow up with someone already featured?

I enjoy all of them, though I must admit that I get a little mixed up when it takes a while before you see the same artist again.
