  • yeah thatd be sweet. I bet itd sound great. I had bfd2 for a little bit , but i switched over to superior drummer , they just had more options for heavy a ss drums but their cymbal selection kind of sucks compared to bfd. their selection of rides to crash on is minimal... and you cant choke the rides which kinda sucks.

  • yeah you can choke them, and if you have all expansions you have HEAPS of cymbals. Metal foundry, allaire, hit factory, avatar, ezdrummer lines, cocktail, jazz, funkmasters, DFH, thats like 200 plus options!

To choke your ride right click on it, select aftertouch right side of screen, then make sure envelope is on and shorten the release time to suit.

  • Awesome playing, who are your main influences?

Also I'd like to ask which e-kit it is that you've got? I've been looking at saving up for a Roland TD-12 but I realised that it would be a waste, as all I really need an electric set for is practicing and maybe recording a few demos, I've already got an acoustic set but it's impossible to play where I live. Damn neighbours.

  • I'm using an alesis d4 drum module(is a little bit crapy, but still it is good for midi triggering) and dbdrums pads, they are from my country(Argentina).

You can get an alesis midi interfase, I don't remember the name, but if you are going to play/record in your house you don't need more.

  • I'm sorry, I didn't see the first question...

Main influences? mmmmm... I really likethe way that steve smith play the drums, he could be an influence, then we could add marco minnemann to the list, tony medeiros, buddy rich can be another :P

    I don't know, there's a lot I would put as an influence :P

  • haha jesus christ dude. even with the bad recording and stick noise , it sounds like the drums might not be the greatest sounding. But your fucking fast either way.

Id be interested in hearing this with the real recording rather than from your camcorder

  • I have some recordings from a solo black/death metal project, maybe one day I'll finish them, for now I'm bussy with another projects :P

  • You play in a jazz fusion band, right?

  • No I don't

  • How did you get your e-kit to work with BFD? I own a Roland TD3 and I want to get it to play with BFD or some other MIDI drumming program. What e-kit do you use? What do I need to get my kit to work with the program? Does BFD support the high-hat control pedal (open = closed - tight)?

    Thanks in advance!

  • First you will need an interface that supports asio via hardware so you can have an ultra low lattency(or at least that's what I'm using, just to let you know, an m-audio fast track pro), the you have to connect your drum via midi, in your ekit you will be pluging the cable in MIDI OUT and in your audio interface in the MIDI IN. Then you go to the bfd(or wathever program you want, if goes in the same way for every program supporting midi) and select the interface... (continue in next post)

  • Then you are done.

I had a real big and anoying trouble with my E-kit, even when bfd seems to let you choose which note will trigger every sound, in my case it didn't work so I had to test every single note in every pad in order to make them math, I mean, when I played in a tom pad it had the cymbal sound, so I have to change the notes in my e-kit to put the sounds in the correct pad.

That was all my troubles connecting my E-kit with BFD...

  • My e-kit is an alesis d4 with Dbdrums(they are made where I live, in Argentina).

BFD does support hihat open closed if your e-kit supports a footswitch(or al least that's the way I'm using the hihat pedal).

If you have any other doubt just ask.

  • i hope you also have real drums "acustic" that sounds like my paintball gun, not drums.

  • thats because your hearing the hits on the plastic, and the kit is not miced properly for you to hear the real sound... To hear what it really sounds like check out the bfd website

  • and the tone sucks.

  • haha your stupid

  • no...the tone sucks.

  • BEAST MODE!!!

  • Hell yeah!

  • A>W>E>S>O>M>E!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you!! :)

  • awesome U rule!

  • Thank you... :)

  • your fucking sick at double bassing

  • Thanks

  • Is it double bass pedal?

  • Yes it is...

  • Which kit is this?

  • Alesis D4 drum module and Dbdrums pads(they are made in my country, I'm from argentina).

  • lindas cortinas, JAJAJAJA >=P

  • Si, la rompen, jejejejejejej
