Thanks for the review. I bought one last week. The first one that I bought had some type of issue with its programing. So I returned it to guitar center and they exchanged it for another with no problem. I think this is the best compact solution for a digital DJ.

question, i want to continue to use my computers (full tower, not a laptop) sound card because its hooked up to a home audio receiver... am i still able to have serato use the sound output to my computer soundcard? or does it have to use the VCI's soundcard?

Not sure if I understood ur question, but Serato and VCI are two different things. VCI uses itch as program. Not serato. You can not use Serato with VCI(at least not yet) You can use your tower and your audio receiver, but you will have to connect VCI's sound out to your receiver directly while VCI is hooked up to your tower by USB.

no.. it does not. If you want a itch controller that has spinning platter, NS7 is the only option for now.

Since I've never used scratch pro or vci-100, I'm not 100% sure. As far as I know, itch will only work with vci-300 or upcoming Numark NS7 for now. but you might be able to map things out with other hardware with future firmware updates.

Not sure what you mean by 100% pitch control, but in the settings, you can change the breaking speed. Just like on Techincs, you can change how quickly it will come to a stop when you press the "play/pause" button.

I see you have the SSL keyboard shorcut cover for your macbook pro, are they the same for the itch?

yeah..most of the shortcuts are same. only certain keys that do not apply to itch wont work.. eg. abs, relative, internal mode shortcuts for example, since there's no modes like that in itch. Since you can pretty much control the whole thing from vci-300 itself, there's really no need to use keyboard shortcuts anymore while using itch.
