hello guys, im a sony a700 user, i use it in wedding photography and other photo-shots. Its really d best for me compared to nikon d200 and canon 400d. all my minolta accesories fits with my alpha 700 and works 100%. Thanks to sony company for their hardworks of innovations and technology.
you have probably already bought a DSLR by now, but stick with either Canon, Nikon or Pentax. If you go with any other brand you are always going to be limited by lenses. A camera body will last for say 2-3 years while a lens will last for a lifetime. just go look at the price of sony's 300/2.8 and then check the price of either canon's or nikon's equivalent. actually i'll just tell you for the sony, $5,999.99 from B&H for canon, $4,100 and then for the nikon, $4,499.99
ahh, but if you were on minolta previously or have come into some minolta lenses they may work on the sony, sony "borrowed" all their tech from minolta so it uses the same minolta A-mount. recently i bought a minolta film slr from a guy down the street for 20 bucks, and the lenses are completely interchangeable with my sony a350. but you make a good point.
@canonsucks: tell me what the difference between a canon 70-200 2.8 image stabilized lens is and the non-IS version....then realize that every single lens you use with a Sony DSLR automatically has image stab. that is BETTER than that of IS L series canon lenses (their best ones).
Thanks for review, but I have one question - What about AF? First you say about great fast camera , show a picture of flying dog, wather moto sportsmen and of the ebd you say " What I will change in this camera? - AF improved" Can you say more about this ? What wrong is with Alfa 700 AF ?
Very nice job; seems to be an unbiased mini-evaluation of the Sony Alpha A700. Would love to see a more in-depth evaluation from you guys. Thanks, I enjoyed the presentation.

A300 has 2 less megapixels and an adjustable screen and live view, but the a700 has a better sensor is twice as fast and has way less noise

Have you compared the prices of the L lens to the G series or carl zeiss for Sony. Sony has less expensive lens.

No the a100 grip will work with the a700. Needs a new grip. Don't know what lens it is.

Nice gloss over. But what, no mention of the new vertical grip?
